My brother was almost forced into getting one of these after the company he was working for at the time said that his e46 330ci was costing them more on fuel than what most people paid on their mortgage per month (this was in 2011 btw)
My 2.5 was very quickly bankrupting me, I can only imagine how much it was costing his company on fuel! Can't say I wouldn't do similar if my job were paying for the fuel, mind...
@@CaiKeys yeah, the 2.5i was no better. I myself had a e46 325ci which was thirsty. But the e92 330d was a great compromise as he was constantly going up and down motorways from site to site. He kept it for about 5 years before then getting one of the first M2’s that came out in 2016.
I drive a E90, only the 2.0 which does not have the flappy paddles. Do you not have to push the auto gear lever to left (Sport Mode) for the flappy paddles to become active?
This is actually my car, basically a common issue is inside the shifter the wires that activate the sport mode don't have enough slack in them so if you use them too much and over time can cause them to snap deactivating your spoot mode and paddles Just needs a solder but I'm too lazy and think paddles are a gimmick for a torque converter auto
As a minor aside : actually 🤓☝🏻it has torque converter 6HP26
I stand corrected. Thank you, Jim Carey from 'The Mask'
It's a torque converter 6HP26 in the E9X 30d
@@JimCarreyyyy Cheers for the clarification!
Had one of these for a few years, what a car it was. Changed it for a newer F30 and it wasn't half the car.
Just realised I never watch new car youtube guys video's so here I am, liked, subscribed and commented. Keep it up I hope you vids are good lol
@@123jahir cheers, appreciate the support. Early days but let's see what happens!
I had an E39 and ran it for 9 years, one of the best cars I ever had
See that seems to be the general consensus, people really love them, it just didn't do it for me personally. Can certainly see the appeal, though.
@ maybe you just happened to find a very tired one? Mine was a great one. Message me about the L322 sometime
It is illegal to do less than 100mph in one of these, moreover it is illegal to drive it in any way but sideways.
If my Speedo goes to 160 then I'm using all of it
wth, imagine seeing the godfather of rdr2 videos here!

There were so many of these in South Africa, it was rarer to see a stock one.

i have an e92 335D, 410bhp 906nm :P 50mpg on a motorway run
@@padgeyboy1 absolutely monsterous amount of torque, you could pull down buildings with that
@ going for hybrids shortly, be over 1000nm
I'll let you know when it inevitably ends up in a ditch after a map and downpipe 😂
