I have doubt What is the difference between subsidiary book undercast/overcast and wrong amount posting in subsidiary book Both seems same because if any wrong amount can undercast or overcast right amount Can you please resolve this doubt ???
subsidiary book undercast/overcast means the total amount of the subsidiary book is shown as less/more. Whereas in case of Wrong amount, the amount has been posted wrongly like in place of 10,000 it is posted as 1000. Also, undercast/overcast can happen because of not recording certain transactions or wrong calculations while totalling the subsidiary book, whereas in case of wrong amount, the transactions have been recorded, but the amount has been wrongly entered
