"La Pajiacciola" - ballo del Gruppo Folklorico "LI PISTACOPPI" della Città di Macerata (Italy)

The association of Social Promotion "Li Pistacoppi", Folklore Group "City of Macerata", was founded in 1979 on the initiative of some young people with the aim of keeping alive and spreading the culture, popular traditions of Macerata and Marche. We study, preserve and pass on the folklore of our land to future generations. We dance to 6 couples with live music, using original musical instruments (such as organetto, cembalo, nacchere,sgrasciola).We take great care of our costumes that are reproduced on original models dating back to the mid-800 (Napoleonic era), entirely woven and embroidered by hand. We perform worldwide in shows that can last up to two hours. We participate in CIOFF Folklore Festival and not. We perform at any type of party and recurrence.

Our Association has been organizing the International Folklore Festival for 30 years. This is one of the Italian festivals that is part of the worldwide circuit of the CIOFF (Conseil International des Organisations de Festivals du Folklore et d'Arts Traditionnels), which promotes traditional art and culture.
