Every once in awhile my fiancé will overhear my beauty RUclips videos and normally makes fun of everyone for using the same descriptive words like pigmented and buttery. The other day he overheard me watching your 10 things I’d buy if I lost my makeup and said “I like her! She sounds like she knows what she’s talking about!” 😂 I guess that’s a huge compliment!
My husband always watches Emily with me, he says she is the best out of all the others that I watch. Hahaha...so there you go, you have a heterosexual male following as well.
Can we just acknowledge the devotion to subscribers here? Before she even puts the foundation on she's like "this really doesn't work for me" but she still puts it on. She knows she is going to have a bad makeup day but is still going to do it for us. And this isn't just someone who is putting on their makeup for the day. She enjoys makeup and the experience so much she has made a career of it but for us to see how it applies, she is still just going to suck it up and have a bad makeup day, when you know she has a dozen other products she'd rather be wearing.
I'm so glad that you mentioned Santa Clarita diet. That show is hilarious and it's such wonderful dark humor. I feel like TV has been missing a show like this for a while.
I have super dry skin and the light illusion Foundation is my new absolute favorite Foundation. I can use it through a 12 hour work day and most of it hangs around ny the 12 hour mark and I am a big "face toucher", bad I know! I use Belif True Tincture Essence which makes Anything stick to my skin. Then Cerave regular daily moisturizer (the one that doesnt specify whether it's a body or face moisturizer). Nothing beats the way the foundation looks on my skin which is dry textured hyperpigmentation. And it layers beautifully !! My biggest complaint is the shade range and dry down color.
I am so so in love with that foundation. It is pretty dewy. I have a normal to dry combination skin type. I didn't have to use primer with this and it works just fine without. I use it with either brush or sponge. I do set it with powder and i like using coty airspun or mac translucent powder. It is so lightweight and just beautiful on the skin. I dont need a lot of coverage and if i do i just put a little extra layer targeting the area in need. It wears really well on me too. Just love it so much.
Santa Clarita Diet is awesome!! Tim is my favorite! Just some of the lines he says and his facial expressions to go with are hilarious! This show wasn’t something I thought I’d be interested in but watched both seasons and now I want more! You’re amazing as always em!

I love that foundation. I wear it everyday for work! The finish is so beautiful and natural. I just use a pore filler primer and setting spray. Helps with the staying power.
The reason the Flower FINISHING powder isn’t working for under the eye and setting the face is because it’s NOT a setting powder! As the name states it’s a finishing powder, they are two totally different products. Finishing powders are the last step used to lightly brush over the face to help blend and blur everything together. I think a lot of people just think they are all the same thing and they are not. The hourglass powders are finishing powders each intended to give a specific defused look depending on what you want.
I love the light illusion foundation! It’s very long lasting on me. I can get through an entire work day (10 hrs) and it’s still on my nose which is rare bc I’m always rubbing it! I have super dry skin and it just makes my skin look so healthy! I usually use cerave lotion and Becca backlight primer and have had zero issues.
I love this sponge! To me it feels the closest dupe to the beauty blender in texture and bounce. I do agree with not fitting in smaller pictures of the face but then I just pitched the top part of it and it works fine for me. I actually like the fact that it's a bigger sponge in my hand just makes blending my Foundation out faster.
Becki Tankson yes, i wasn't sure if i would like it, but i love the actors, turns out i love this show!!!! I wish they would make more than 12 episodes a season because I'm so sad i need them to put the 3rd season already
I had the same issue at first with the foundation! The way that works best for me is priming with the Glam Glow matte glow moisturizer and using the lightest layer possible!

I love the foundation. I have very dry skin. I just use my cerave moisturizer and Beccas back light primer. It lasts all day on me and looks so fresh and nice on my face. Thataylaa actually ranked it number 1 on her 15 days of foundation!!
I love that for almost every single product you review, you gives both pros and cons. It keeps it realistic. You also always take into account how it might work on someone with different needs than your own.
Thank you~ So many people rave about the Flower Beauty Foundation and that its long lasting but on me it lasts about 3-4 hours. It just starts fading. Love waking up on Saturday morning, drinking my coffee and watching your videos.
It's weird because I just commented above because this foundation lasts all day on me. I've been loving it. I also REALLY love the Physician's formula the healthy foundation lately. I think I may like that one even more than the light illusion foundation, if you haven't tried it.
You are my absolute favorite beauty blogger! You are very real. I don't feel like I'm watching someone who does looks that I could never replicate, or would not want to replicate. And your tutorials are very easy to follow with your detailed explanation. And, like many youtubers, you often your mascara or lashes off camera. And, no big deal. But, when you come back, that is all you have done. I've noticed when others come back, they now have lip liner or highlights on that they didn't have on before and they don't mention these changes. I think, no wonder I don't get a similar look. You are not afraid to use drugstore brands. In fact, you promote the ones that work. ex. Wet 'n Wild white waterline liner. But, mostly, you go into such detail with each product. You talk about not just how they wear, but how they smell, the texture, everything. I love the flower beauty sponge however I’m a brush girl and I only use sponges for baking (rare event) and pushing in my powders after setting my face. It just feels nice. I’m very much into purples and dusty mauve. I bought the abh single shadowed in the dusty pink shade from soft glam and I pair it with so many awesome cool toned looks. Makes my blue eyes pop. I’m also very into my Marc Jacobs provocature pallet.
Just received the foundation, trying tomorrow. I've had the same issue with Boots No7 Lift and Luminate. Goes on beautiful and color is spot on, just does not last. However, I just found using LA Girl matte first then the Boots on top. Surprisingly does not look bad, lasts All day and I do not have to throw anything away:) I do have dry skin so I moisturized well first. If the Flower does not last for me, I may be trying the same technique.
I have the same flower eye shadow palette and I LOVE that far right purple shimmer. It’s by far one of my favorite eye shadows I’ve ever come across. It’s a great transformer color on top of other shades.
I also recently tried the Flower Beauty Blush in Sweet Pea and have fallen in love with it, such a great drugstore blush. I also have the same powder problem with the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores loose powder, it flies around and I end up inhaling it and coughing. Trying to use is up to get it out of my collection for that very reason. Hugs, Melissa

I loveeeeee the flower beauty sponge. I honestly love it more than the real techniques and the beauty blender. It is so soft and applies foundation beautifully. It's way softer than the real techniques and beauty blender in my opinion. I highly recommend
Try the lift and sculpt contouring palette as well as the shimmer and shine highlighting palette! Both have amazing products and I think you’d be impressed the highlight and bronzer specifically!!
Glad to know the foundation is dewy. I'm 43 and have very oily skin. Foundations are hard for me because of that. The only foundation that has truly worked for me is the revlon colorstay foundation and powder. You said you like your foundation to have staying power and revlon colorstay does. It will not move until you take it off. Try it if you haven't all ready. Just found you today. Love the videos. Keep them coming. Have a wonderful day.
Saturday mornings with Emily are the best! I'd recommend trying the highlighters in the shimmer & strobe highlighting palette or the lift & sculpt contouring palette! They're a bit powdery, but they're good quality & a little goes a long way. Also, if you're looking for a new sponge to love, the pink LA Girl sponge is very comparable to the beauty blender, but shaped like the real techniques sponge! I think you'd like it more than your nyx sponge!
The highlighter in her Lift & Sculpt Contouring Pallet that has a bronzer and a dusty pink blush in the middle and a golden highlight is outstanding! I even wear it to work. It is the perfect consistency and I love the bronzer because it's cooler and you can slightly contour with it, blush is beautiful. Highly recommend. I totally agree that the sponge is just too large, but it is the closest texture to the Beauty Blender in my opinion. I think I have tried them all. Haha. Wish there was a way to cut it down to perfect size. Thanks Emily, you are super amazing!
Their original 3-pan rectangular highlighter palette that comes with a (kinda ridiculous) brush, is the BEST. My 5 favorite highlighters of ALL time are the Anastasia Sugar glow kit, the new Hourglass highlighter palette, Becca Champagne Pop, the Amrezy one, & THAT Flower Beauty highlighter palette...no joke! In fact, before I got the Hourglass highlighter palette, the Flower was probably my absolute favorite. I love to wear all three tones (light champagne, slightly pink, & pale gold) individually or mixed together. Until that Hourglass palette came around (which has VERY similar tones), it was also ALWAYS the highlighter I chose for all special occasions...it's THAT good.😉 Please give it a go, as I REALLY feel you'd love it too.💕
They actually showed it cosmetics in an episode in season 2 like... Went out of their way to show it and I was surprised they didn't feature flower beauty.
Sammie Schmall I've noticed makeup companies being shown in shows too... like making the brand name stand out in a really quick shot. One show I really notice it is Riverdale.
I bought the foundation a couple weeks ago. I have very dry skin so I lathered on my moisturizer like I normally do and tried to apply the foundation. Needless to say I was a hot mess!!!! LOL I couldn’t get it to sit down. It was slipping and sliding all over my face and I had bare areas and then a big patchy spot. I was so disappointed. I will try it again but will try using a lighter moisturizer next time. Thank you for the review!
Flower Beauty Shimmer & Strobe palette is the highlighter palette you're looking for. It really performs! Beautiful glow to the stars look without the glitter.
I have to admit, when I 1st saw Flower Beauty a few yrs ago, I wasn’t the least bit inspired by the brand. However over the last 6 mos or so, I did decide to (very selectively) try a couple of products & even though I like what I’ve tried, I’m still not terribly inspired by the brand 😊💚 But this review was awesome & fun as ALWAYS!
Samantha Jane I don't think you'll be able to find it unfortunately. I hit up a lot of Walmarts while I'm in Canada and I've never seen it in any province. But I'm jealous that I still find NYC which is no longer in the states.
They stopped selling at WalMart Canada a couple years ago☹ It was pretty hush hush, after weeks of the displays being dumped into clearance bins, one response to a comment on the Flower Beauty Facebook page confirmed what was happening.
I live in the US and can’t find Flower Beauty anywhere here. Not Ulta not Walmart either... I know my Walmart used to carry it a few years ago. They haven’t picked it back up yet though.
Another great Saturday morning video! I have the blush, bronzer, and highlight trio palette and really like it. It’s called the lift and sculpt contouring palette. The powders are very soft and fragile, but perform well for me. I tried the B.B. cream and wanted to love it, but it was too thick and didn’t last on my oily skin.
Oh my gosh, I LOVE the foundation and mascara! It just works for me. The foundation gives me a beautiful glow and the mascara makes me look like I have massive eyelashes and the applicator is so easy to use.
I had the same issue with that foundation. So I tried mixing it with my Loreal Pro Glow and it's AMAZING! 8 hours of staying power for me! You should try it!
Thank you so much for all your hard work. Trying all these products and wearing them to see lasting power has to take a decent chunk of time. I so prefer this to a "First Impressions" type video (which seems to be the most popular now), because you really give an honest impression until you have worn it all day and in different circumstances. I really appreciate your videos because there are SO many new products being launched at a time it can be overwhelming to decipher the good from the bad. And you are honest, which is also hard to come by these days, what with influencers who are whisked away to a tropical paradise in exchange for a positive review. I have the same foundation and I’m oily especially in my T-zone. I agree that it’s not full coverage, it’s a natural medium coverage. I like the concealer it’s blend-able, It’s the perfect shade for me but I wish they made more shades for my friends in deeper skin tones.
The original flower highlighter palette is amazing!! The new one isn’t great, but they work really well as eyeshadows/inner corner highlighters. I also use the sponge for powder, doesn’t work for me with foundation. I just recently got one of their bullet lipsticks and it was really nice. Great video!
I also have the translucent powder and I like how finely milled it is but it does seem to go everywhere and I've just not had the best of luck with it . This is what I get when I comment before wacthing the whole video 🤣🤣 Love the blushes I think mine is tea rose. Also love Timothy Olyphant loved him in Deadwood!!
Stevie's Girl if you like a very good finely milled powder It Cosmetics has a fabulous one called bye bye pores. They always have sales going on their website. It comes in a little tiny jar but it's almost like water it's so fine and I find that I have to use so little in order to get outstanding results. Just a suggestion :-)
I've had the same problem with the Flower foundation, though it looks nice, it doesn't last. Maybe for only 6 hrs but I haven't tried it on it's own without primer, etc. The sponge, it is true you can't reach small crevices; however, it gives a flawless look to the foundation. I use it with my other foundation. It's nice.
I'm obsessed with the brush that comes in the Flower eye shadow palettes. I don't know if she sells those separately but she should. It's the perfect crease brush for me.

Both were fails for me for all of the reasons you mentioned. A waste of time and money. Thank goodness it wasn’t high end. I can always count on you to be honest and truthful! I’ve had really good luck with light illusion foundation, I moisturize and then use a brush for application and the lightest layer I can apply. The first time I tried it I put way too much on !
I am enjoying the flower foundation, I like the youthful glow it goves, but, as always, with that, comes transfer, hence, not great lastability . I don't powder, but I do use a setting spray that helps. Nice break from all those drying mattes. My happy medium is the Laura Mercier foundation.

Finally someone mentions about the cut of the lilac sponge. I hated it when I first got it, and I was confused why everyone was just raving about it. It has definitely grown on me though, but I wish they would make it in a new cut.

I love how soft the Flower sponge is, but yeah the shape just doesn't work for my face. Too big, like you said. So I actually just use scissors and cut it into a smaller piece and make it pointed! Probably sounds weird, but hey it works!
Loved this. The Flower display in my Wmt got smaller, and my Ulta got no product. So thanks a million! Also, I have age spots and totally agree with your concealer findings. My worst spot is right at the high point of my cheekbone. I still find that the darker concealer works best under my highlighter. I wonder if that deep lid on the loose powder is meant to contain some powder that you dump into it. Upside down, it might help.

The Flower Beauty Shimmer & Strobe Highlighting Palette rivals any Anastasia highlight palette that I have tried. I'm not really a "see it from space" highlighter wearer so I only use this one sparingly but it is beautiful. The subject of the Santa Clarita Diet has always turned me off but I think now I will give it a go!
Emily, thanks for this review. I really like the highlighting trio. It has more traditional shades, and it looks glossy on the skin. Almost a wet look. I’ve kind of stopped picking up flower beauty products, because they are no longer being sold at my local Walmart, but an Ulta is about to open doors in town next month. I’ll have to re-check some of their products again.

I really like the illuminating loose powder from Flower Beauty! I also love the fit me loose powder you’ve spoken about a few times but it can be a little too matte for me sometimes as the day wears. I’m pretty dry and the glowy powder from flower really softens imperfections and helps my foundation wear nicely all day. You should try it! Even if the packaging is huge lol
The foundation is great for me. It looks like my skin, but perfect. Lasts all day too. The concealer creases, and I don't usually have a problem with that. They make some of my favorite matte liquid lipsticks.
I really like that foundation!! BUT I always mix in the wet n wild photofocus in rosy ivory because the flower light illusion is WAY too yellow for me.. so that could have something to do w. Why I don’t have an issue w. Staying power!! If you like the glowy-ness, but not the fading issue, maybe try mixing in another longer lasting foundation!!!!

I love the foundation. I have very dry skin. I just use my cerave moisturizer and Beccas back light primer. It lasts all day on me and looks so fresh and nice on my face. Thataylaa actually ranked it number 1 on her 15 days of foundation!!

Thank you~ So many people rave about the Flower Beauty Foundation and that its long lasting but on me it lasts about 3-4 hours. It just starts fading. Love waking up on Saturday morning, drinking my coffee and watching your videos.
It's weird because I just commented above because this foundation lasts all day on me. I've been loving it. I also REALLY love the Physician's formula the healthy foundation lately. I think I may like that one even more than the light illusion foundation, if you haven't tried it.
You are my absolute favorite beauty blogger! You are very real. I don't feel like I'm watching someone who does looks that I could never replicate, or would not want to replicate. And your tutorials are very easy to follow with your detailed explanation. And, like many youtubers, you often your mascara or lashes off camera. And, no big deal. But, when you come back, that is all you have done. I've noticed when others come back, they now have lip liner or highlights on that they didn't have on before and they don't mention these changes. I think, no wonder I don't get a similar look. You are not afraid to use drugstore brands. In fact, you promote the ones that work. ex. Wet 'n Wild white waterline liner. But, mostly, you go into such detail with each product. You talk about not just how they wear, but how they smell, the texture, everything. For around my eyes, I use the pointing side of the sponge and I find that it does the trick. This is my favorite sponge cause it is so soft!
I love the flower beauty sponge however I’m a brush girl and I only use sponges for baking (rare event) and pushing in my powders after setting my face. It just feels nice. I’m very much into purples and dusty mauve. I bought the abh single shadowed in the dusty pink shade from soft glam and I pair it with so many awesome cool toned looks. Makes my blue eyes pop. I’m also very into my Marc Jacobs provocature pallet.

Just received the foundation, trying tomorrow. I've had the same issue with Boots No7 Lift and Luminate. Goes on beautiful and color is spot on, just does not last. However, I just found using LA Girl matte first then the Boots on top. Surprisingly does not look bad, lasts All day and I do not have to throw anything away:) I do have dry skin so I moisturized well first. If the Flower does not last for me, I may be trying the same technique.
I have the same flower eye shadow palette and I LOVE that far right purple shimmer. It’s by far one of my favorite eye shadows I’ve ever come across. It’s a great transformer color on top of other shades.
I also recently tried the Flower Beauty Blush in Sweet Pea and have fallen in love with it, such a great drugstore blush. I also have the same powder problem with the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores loose powder, it flies around and I end up inhaling it and coughing. Trying to use is up to get it out of my collection for that very reason. Hugs, Melissa

I loveeeeee the flower beauty sponge. I honestly love it more than the real techniques and the beauty blender. It is so soft and applies foundation beautifully. It's way softer than the real techniques and beauty blender in my opinion. I highly recommend

Glad to know the foundation is dewy. I'm 43 and have very oily skin. Foundations are hard for me because of that. The only foundation that has truly worked for me is the revlon colorstay foundation and powder. You said you like your foundation to have staying power and revlon colorstay does. It will not move until you take it off. Try it if you haven't all ready. Just found you today. Love the videos. Keep them coming. Have a wonderful day.
Saturday mornings with Emily are the best! I'd recommend trying the highlighters in the shimmer & strobe highlighting palette or the lift & sculpt contouring palette! They're a bit powdery, but they're good quality & a little goes a long way. Also, if you're looking for a new sponge to love, the pink LA Girl sponge is very comparable to the beauty blender, but shaped like the real techniques sponge! I think you'd like it more than your nyx sponge!

The highlighter in her Lift & Sculpt Contouring Pallet that has a bronzer and a dusty pink blush in the middle and a golden highlight is outstanding! I even wear it to work. It is the perfect consistency and I love the bronzer because it's cooler and you can slightly contour with it, blush is beautiful. Highly recommend. I totally agree that the sponge is just too large, but it is the closest texture to the Beauty Blender in my opinion. I think I have tried them all. Haha. Wish there was a way to cut it down to perfect size. Thanks Emily, you are super amazing!
Their original 3-pan rectangular highlighter palette that comes with a (kinda ridiculous) brush, is the BEST. My 5 favorite highlighters of ALL time are the Anastasia Sugar glow kit, the new Hourglass highlighter palette, Becca Champagne Pop, the Amrezy one, & THAT Flower Beauty highlighter palette...no joke! In fact, before I got the Hourglass highlighter palette, the Flower was probably my absolute favorite. I love to wear all three tones (light champagne, slightly pink, & pale gold) individually or mixed together. Until that Hourglass palette came around (which has VERY similar tones), it was also ALWAYS the highlighter I chose for all special occasions...it's THAT good.😉 Please give it a go, as I REALLY feel you'd love it too.💕
They actually showed it cosmetics in an episode in season 2 like... Went out of their way to show it and I was surprised they didn't feature flower beauty.

I bought the foundation a couple weeks ago. I have very dry skin so I lathered on my moisturizer like I normally do and tried to apply the foundation. Needless to say I was a hot mess!!!! LOL I couldn’t get it to sit down. It was slipping and sliding all over my face and I had bare areas and then a big patchy spot. I was so disappointed. I will try it again but will try using a lighter moisturizer next time. Thank you for the review!

I have to admit, when I 1st saw Flower Beauty a few yrs ago, I wasn’t the least bit inspired by the brand. However over the last 6 mos or so, I did decide to (very selectively) try a couple of products & even though I like what I’ve tried, I’m still not terribly inspired by the brand 😊💚 But this review was awesome & fun as ALWAYS!

Samantha Jane I don't think you'll be able to find it unfortunately. I hit up a lot of Walmarts while I'm in Canada and I've never seen it in any province. But I'm jealous that I still find NYC which is no longer in the states.

I live in the US and can’t find Flower Beauty anywhere here. Not Ulta not Walmart either... I know my Walmart used to carry it a few years ago. They haven’t picked it back up yet though.

Another great Saturday morning video! I have the blush, bronzer, and highlight trio palette and really like it. It’s called the lift and sculpt contouring palette. The powders are very soft and fragile, but perform well for me. I tried the B.B. cream and wanted to love it, but it was too thick and didn’t last on my oily skin.
Oh my gosh, I LOVE the foundation and mascara! It just works for me. The foundation gives me a beautiful glow and the mascara makes me look like I have massive eyelashes and the applicator is so easy to use.
I appreciate the Flower Beauty prices, packaging, deals, shipping and good service at their own site.
I like the Flower foundation, but I use my usual primer, powder, and setting powder. It does have a pretty finish, but it does slide around a bit.
I have never used anything from flower beauty so im happy i watched this video to get your thoughts thanks.
I had the same issue with that foundation. So I tried mixing it with my Loreal Pro Glow and it's AMAZING! 8 hours of staying power for me! You should try it!
Thank you so much for all your hard work. Trying all these products and wearing them to see lasting power has to take a decent chunk of time. I so prefer this to a "First Impressions" type video (which seems to be the most popular now), because you really give an honest impression until you have worn it all day and in different circumstances. I really appreciate your videos because there are SO many new products being launched at a time it can be overwhelming to decipher the good from the bad. And you are honest, which is also hard to come by these days, what with influencers who are whisked away to a tropical paradise in exchange for a positive review. I have the same foundation and I’m oily especially in my T-zone. I agree that it’s not full coverage, it’s a natural medium coverage. I like the concealer it’s blend-able, It’s the perfect shade for me but I wish they made more shades for my friends in deeper skin tones.
The original flower highlighter palette is amazing!! The new one isn’t great, but they work really well as eyeshadows/inner corner highlighters. I also use the sponge for powder, doesn’t work for me with foundation. I just recently got one of their bullet lipsticks and it was really nice. Great video!

I also have the translucent powder and I like how finely milled it is but it does seem to go everywhere and I've just not had the best of luck with it . Stevie's Girl if you like a very good finely milled powder It Cosmetics has a fabulous one called bye bye pores. They always have sales going on their website. It comes in a little tiny jar but it's almost like water it's so fine and I find that I have to use so little in order to get outstanding results. Just a suggestion :-)
I've heard flower has a wonderful BB Cream that's pretty full coverage. Also their flower pot blush in warm hibiscus is really glowy and beautiful.
I've had the same problem with the Flower foundation, though it looks nice, it doesn't last. Maybe for only 6 hrs but I haven't tried it on it's own without primer, etc. The sponge, it is true you can't reach small crevices; however, it gives a flawless look to the foundation. I use it with my other foundation. It's nice.
I'm obsessed with the brush that comes in the Flower eye shadow palettes. I don't know if she sells those separately but she should. It's the perfect crease brush for me.
Emily, thank you for always being so truthful! I purchased the eye shadow palette and foundation due to all of the raves from other RUclipsrs! Both were fails for me for all of the reasons you mentioned. A waste of time and money. Thank goodness it wasn’t high end. I can always count on you to be honest and truthful! I’ve had really good luck with light illusion foundation, I moisturize and then use a brush for application and the lightest layer I can apply. The first time I tried it I put way too much on !
I am enjoying the flower foundation, I like the youthful glow it goves, but, as always, with that, comes transfer, hence, not great lastability . I don't powder, but I do use a setting spray that helps. Nice break from all those drying mattes. My happy medium is the Laura Mercier foundation.
I love the Light Illusion foundation, but I found it goes on best with a brush. A sponge thins it out too much. It looks great on my 60 y/o skin.

Finally someone mentions about the cut of the lilac sponge. I hated it when I first got it, and I was confused why everyone was just raving about it. It has definitely grown on me though, but I wish they would make it in a new cut.

I love how soft the Flower sponge is, but yeah the shape just doesn't work for my face. Too big, like you said. So I actually just use scissors and cut it into a smaller piece and make it pointed! Probably sounds weird, but hey it works!
Loved this. The Flower display in my Wmt got smaller, and my Ulta got no product. So thanks a million!
Also, I have age spots and totally agree with your concealer findings. My worst spot is right at the high point of my cheekbone. I still find that the darker concealer works best under my highlighter.
I wonder if that deep lid on the loose powder is meant to contain some powder that you dump into it. Upside down, it might help.

The Flower Beauty Shimmer & Strobe Highlighting Palette rivals any Anastasia highlight palette that I have tried. I'm not really a "see it from space" highlighter wearer so I only use this one sparingly but it is beautiful.
The subject of the Santa Clarita Diet has always turned me off but I think now I will give it a go!

Emily, thanks for this review. I really like the highlighting trio. It has more traditional shades, and it looks glossy on the skin. Almost a wet look. I’ve kind of stopped picking up flower beauty products, because they are no longer being sold at my local Walmart, but an Ulta is about to open doors in town next month. I’ll have to re-check some of their products again.

I really like the illuminating loose powder from Flower Beauty! I also love the fit me loose powder you’ve spoken about a few times but it can be a little too matte for me sometimes as the day wears. I’m pretty dry and the glowy powder from flower really softens imperfections and helps my foundation wear nicely all day. You should try it! Even if the packaging is huge lol
The foundation is great for me. It looks like my skin, but perfect. Lasts all day too. The concealer creases, and I don't usually have a problem with that. They make some of my favorite matte liquid lipsticks.
I really like that foundation!! BUT I always mix in the wet n wild photofocus in rosy ivory because the flower light illusion is WAY too yellow for me.. so that could have something to do w. Why I don’t have an issue w. Staying power!! If you like the glowy-ness, but not the fading issue, maybe try mixing in another longer lasting foundation!!!!
I have been enjoying the bronzer, blush and highlight trio. The highlighter trio is also amazing, I like the pink shade.
I returned my Light Illusion foundation. It was heavy, and it didn't last. The Light Illusion compact pressed powder is super good!
