That lil scalp pain you get when its time to retwist is because you have some loose strands going into the wrong lock and pulling which is why retwisting makes you feel better. Try oiling you hair then separating each loc before styling that should help. Also i recommend corchet over interlocking as interlocking is really really right compared to regular retiwst youll always see where you interlocked more dramatic if you continue it will appear thinner (not weaker) just more compact. Crochet will keep ur thickness and fix them loose strands. Either way love your locs sm🔥🔥💯💯👑
im on my second journey. I can’t believe how much yours have blossomed, literally just watched your first loc video AGAIN and the first time you added the sprinkles.. ❤
Thank you for this video! I did big chop, I am 1 year and a couple of mo ths in. My irritation is also trying to style when im between retwist. Not quite shoulder length. The unlocked loose hair at the ends drives me nuts, so I had my loctician clean it up with her loc tool.
I had to braid the random hair that grows out of my locs. I don’t retwist often and with all that hair out my hair was looking too messy and I ALWAYS clips those little pieces off. I’m thinking it might be when I first did my twist and the hairs at the end were less dense and just break off.
I did a two strand twist and it does help with the annoyance! It also takes 2 inches away from my length while they are twisted so i won’t be accidentally pulling on them!
@@xclusivetina when I had longer hair as a loose natural, I LOVED those twist pin-ups!!! I could leave my hair and not worry about shrinkage, snags/pulls, or bad hair days!! Patiently waiting now. Only 2 months loc'd as of yesterday. Nervous about doing my retwist next week because my cousin can't do it, anymore. I love your locs and hope you find your perfect, permanent solution to your ground gears. Lol❤️
I retwist every 4-6 weeks depending on how I’m feeling. My retwist are easier when i stay within that time frame. I struggle with waiting longer then 2 months 🫠😂
I tried it with my first set of locs and liked it but I didn’t like how my hair would look while it was trying to bud. It was really bumpy looking . I might try again one day!

@@xclusivetina thank you ❤️
New sub❤ im almost at a year loc and i agree. I tried to style my hair and it felt so tight i had to take it down. I never been tender head in my Life
Sleep with a cap that is tighter around your head. Like a longer stocking cap.
Ahhh that’s smart! I’m about to order one!

Lmao I felt that! There's things that really grind my gears 😂😂
I struggle with the little balls at the end. Hair that will not loc and having a tender head. Some days, I want to cut it off, and others I love them

have you thought about a re-tie instead of retwist to preserve for better maintenance of styles?
Yes, that’s what i meant by crocheting. I couldn’t think of the word! But i might try it one day .
Maybe if you did some 2 or 3-strand twists and did a cute, loose pin-up with them, it'll help minimize the annoyance for, at least, a little while.

How often you do retwist? I do it every 3-4 month but I think it's not frequent enough it take me the all day to retwist them after 😂

The balls on the end of my locs drive me insane. I just pull them off and I’m more tender headed than usual also.
Hey friend ❤
Heyyy friend! 👋🏾💕
Same. Same. Same. Same. and Same LOL!
I’m 9 months locked and at the end of July I switched to interlocking and I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to a normal retwist
