I have tried to replicate the effect where you use a repeater to make a circle out of rectangles. When I try this it always just rotates the individual rectangles and does not make a circle out of them.
Josh, always really appreciate your tuts. Q, it seems my cirlces are just slightly not perfect. When I duplicate multiple circles, there is a super slight oval to it. Please send some advice if ur free. Thanks!
Is there a way to centre to anchor point to the canvas without effecting the position of the object? I've looked at a million tutorials and none seem to address this adequately. You did it by eye here but what if you need it exact?
You can choose the Pan Behind tool, and then hold Ctrl as you drag it (if you're on a PC, that is. I guess it would be Cmd if you're rolling on a Mac, but I'm not sure). This will make it snap to the various anchor points of the object, including the center. And to center align the object in the canvas, use the align window buttons to align horizontally and vertically. BOOM! :) I've been doing animations and motion graphics for long enough to know never to just eyeball the centering of things, especially if rotation is going to be involved.
Thanks for the tut. my problem is when I'm making the repeater with the small rectangle, my repeater is too small and off center. How do you control the distance of the rotation? Thanks.
As soon as you hold back those advices to the end of the video i will make sure to go to every single video you made to give you a god damn like bro :'D

No need to reply Josh. My anchor point was just slightly off from center, not allowing my duplicate layers to match up. Thanks, always!
great thnks
Do you do commissions?
I enjoyed the tutorial.
But, I get a 404 when I try to download the project files.
Can you update the link please.
Thank you

How did you expand the rotation in thick outline?
Thanks for the tut. my problem is when I'm making the repeater with the small rectangle, my repeater is too small and off center. How do you control the distance of the rotation? Thanks.
Yo, it is based off of the anchor point. Hit 'y' and you can change the centre point
@@2modern2Bgenius It worked!!! Thank you!!!
How do you get that crosshair in the middle of your shape? I had to align without it and its a pain in the @$$
By pressing ' key on the keyboard
