A question. What about the President election years? Is it not the case that healthcare stocks get beaten down, bc president candidates do promise cheaper healthcare ? (Then forget this point after the election)?
I absolutely love it when I see older people (no offence) who are tech savvy and clearly loving the work that they do. Thanks for this video. I love a good deal so GPN excites me the most of the stocks listed here.
Agree, but I will remain patient as long as the orange line continues to go up, in other words earnings continue to grow. I trust fundamentals more than stock price and markets. Thanks for your comment. Regards, Chuck
GPN, agree with you Chuck.... In Europe the are big at least where I live and often travel to... Whole Mall where we have office use GPN terminals & services, but the best thing for us as shareholders is to see money pouring to the business we partially own.... The best case was my company paying the team drinks in the bar through GPN terminal.... Love it.... Me and my friend believe in future of GPN.... Fiserv is great supplement to own, really great compounder...
GPN is my biggest lover in my portfolio. Like my friend Chuck from Fastgraphs says " these are long-term investments ". I had to explain to my wife about paper losses and that they don't effect us unless we sell.
Hi Chuck! I have 2 ideas on my mind- Taking off on the the market beta statistic describing price action deviation from a baseline (e.g. SP500), could we get a FASTgraphs Beta statistic describing price action deviation from Normal PE Multiple? Please give us a lifetime subscription plan since I can never be without FASTgraphs. Eventually Fidelity is going to buy you out for a ton of money, then raise the subscription tenfold. I'm committed!
Thanks for the suggestions. Regarding your 1st line about BETA, my short answer is no. However, let me explain why. I have dedicated FG to helping people focus on fundamentals 1st, while ignoring short-term price activity. In other words, I am more interested in looking for statistics, metrics, or ideas that serve to get more predictability on fundamentals and fundamentals growth. Warren Buffett did a great explanation and I paraphrase, he essentially said something to the effect that people who rely on BETA are suggesting that if he bought the Washington Post at half the price that he would be taking more risk. Any value investor worth his salt would recognize that to be the exact opposite of the truth. In other words, in Warren’s world and mine volatility is not risk, instead, is how you react to the volatility where the real risk lies. On the other hand, we are looking into perhaps providing a relative strength line or metric that might help subscriber’s make a better buying, or selling decision. Nevertheless, I’m not sure I like that idea any better than BETA, but we are working on building one and testing it. Regarding your 2nd suggestion I would not know how to fairly price and lifetime subscription. Ideas?
What about Globe Life Chuck? Short seller took his profits and we true investors move forward... Today's data breach happened to "famous" corporations too.... Is that Buffett's example? I think so.... Be GREEDY when others are fearful and be fearful when others are greedy.... Earnings growth is there, should remain, A S&P Rating, great stuff... What do you think?
I respectfully disagree. Here is MorningStar’s take: “Given the limited capital needs of the business, historical returns on invested capital have been very strong. The flurry of recent acquisition activity has damped returns, but ROIC excluding goodwill has been magnitudes greater than any reasonable cost of capital assumption historically.”
@@FASTgraphs Well, then MorningStar might be not the best source for such statement. In fact, ROIC has always been in low single digits since 2017. For example, Visa's ROIC has never been below 20% since 2018. I would not even consider investing in companies with single digit ROIC. Maybe others will, but that's not my cup of tea ;-)

GPN, the "eternal" enigma. I have 40% of these stocks, but own fiserv instead GPN and V, but at a much lower cost. Great video as always, Chuck!

2022 was a bear market. It's June 2024. A year and a half is not a long bull market.
Hey Chuck could you review PZZA stock please!!
Many thanks. Awesome breakdown and analysis. Note, CI has been a downer.
Gpn is an enigma to me as well.

@FASTgraphs Please can you run Levi Strauss Stock (levi) stock in your FAST Graphs

I would say GPN has a relatively high amount of debt compared to its free cash flow....
Yes. And really terrible profitability ratios (very low ROCE, ROA, ROIC, ...)
@@FASTgraphs right because Morningstar is always correct lol don't believe your eyes that actually show you the numbers...
