This tutorial will in detail explain how to install How to extract cpks and how to install mods easily with the DBXV2 patcher made by eternity.
I hope you all are familiar with the DBXV patcher. This one does the same and more with added fixes for xenoverse 2.

xv2patcher: a patch to make the game load loose files, and give them priority over the files at cpk. At the moment, that's the only thing it can do.
Latest version, 0.2
Copy the folders "bin" and "XV2PATCHER" to the main root of DB Xenoverse 2 installation.
On a default Steam installation, that would be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DB Xenoverse 2"
(Note: xv2patcher doesn't overwrite any files of the game. The .dll used for inject is not in a normal game install).
Your loose files go in the main install directory, following the same path that in the cpk.
For example, the file data/sound/CAR_BGM.acb would go in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DB Xenoverse 2\data\sound\CAR_BGM.acb" on default install.
A remainder that movie files don't go inside any data folder, so they would be directly in install dir.

A note about xv2patcher and future game updates: the patcher for Xenoverse 1 and Soldiers' Soul were released after the company had released all updates, so they weren't coded with that in mind. On the other side, xv2patcher has been coded from the beginning with that in mind, and it will likely survive several updates. That said, this can't be guaranteed. A very big change in the code that displaces too much the code, or a big change in one of the reading routines could cause the patch to not longer work.
If that ever happened, you will get a message from xv2patcher saying something like "Failed to apply patch ....", and it will abort the process, so you will have to uninstall it until

About compatibility. While the patcher for SSSS had perfect files compatibility, I know that the old patcher for XV1 wouldn't work with some files, I never fixed it because I wasn't at Xenoverse scene.
The compatibility of xv2patcher is currently unknown. If you think a file hasn't been loaded from the file system, and you have discarded a mistake on your end (e.g. your file should work inside cpk), then send me a message with the file path, and when you were expecting that file to load.

Skip to 3:30 if all you want to do is download and install mods, the cpk unpacking stuff is only for modders. It'll save a lot of confusion.

Yeah, legit just drag and drop mods into the Data folder, make sure you have the patches installed though.

.x2m files require their own installer, it's very easy to use, look up the x2m installer, there's usually links to it all over the Xenoverse2mods website.
you say you need to install the patcher I thought it needed to be drag n drop in the xenoverse 2 directory? I'm having trouble and I usually understand these things but no success.... what am I doing wrong..... May I add I'm trying to install a super soul mod

So I hate to ask, but what was the point of extracting the cpks? I ran the extract program and let it run until it closed, but you don't DO anything else with the resulted files, you just leave them there, or you moved them into that random directory you showed off later but that's another random place that has nothing to do with the game too so what was the point of this? were we supposed to put the files somewhere when we were done with it?
exactly my thoughts! he didn't mention what to do with those extracted files. And the whole video is kind of a bit confusing tbh.

I was following the tutorial, and I got the the "1-EXTRACT_ALL" part. It opened, and about 20 minutes later, Windows said it had stopped working, and force-closed it. I only got the "data" and "data2" files from it, so I ran it again and about a half hour later looked, and the text in the box hadn't changed, and it hadn't changed anything in the folder either.
Did I get all I had to from the extraction, or did it break something?
I'm asking you because you reply quickly almost always, and I don't use forums a lot.
for one you should start using the forums. its very useful . and no you didnt break it. you just needed to extract data.cpk and data2.cpk with the cripack tools. you can use the lib xenoverse bat files for other cpks

sry for bothering you, i am getting an error during extracting the data.cpk (Unhandled Memory Issue) it said... and i can only choose debug or close program, and no matter what i select, the program will still running till the end like nothing happen, PROBLEM is: In the end i am getting only
- data (folder)
-data2 (folder) with only 1 "config" inside
-tons of usm file... dono whats that...
no matter how many times i run, i am getting the same error and getting the usm file... (my disk space is more than enough) help T^T will really appreciate it!!!

hi, im new to xv2 modding i was wondering if there is a tutorial around when character swapping cell with cell junior (for example) you could fix the combo animations.

When i use CryPack tools it give me an "Out of Memory" exeption after 10-12 minutes and it's unable to extract all files, help!

Kinda. CryPatch get an exeption trying to extract the second movie data, so i extracted each data one by one and it worked, exept for that one, but it's not important.
The problem is that, if i paste the patcher in my directory, the game crashes right after the logos.
If i mod like the first Xenoverse, extracting e repacking Data 2, it works flawlessly.

memory issue is you probably dont have enough space to extract it fully

use lib xenoverse bat files for the ones that didnt work. Note - If you are just looking to install mods you dont have to extract cpks at all. you can skip to installing the patcher,creating new data folder and install mods in it

so in short, it means we place the contents of both data and data 2 into the data folder we created manually?
no such thing.you just put the MODDED FILES IN the data folder you created.

everything works but I'm still having issues with installing characters using xv2 files they just don't work it's saying I don't have any slots and I click on the option to install characters in New spirit tells me there's no slot available or something like that..... like I said everytgi g else works but this..... did I miss something?

Hey does this nodding system work for Xbox One?
I downloaded some CaC transformation mods and put them into the data folder and I have the latest version of the XV2 Patcher but I feel like my mods aren't working becuase they do not have a data folder within them. The new transformations are supposed to be in the Skill shop and they aren't there

As you see this is an old tutorial that's made to work with old mods for the patcher.if smartasses like you try installing newer x2m mods with this it won't work.duh.but whatever.who cares
So I installed a mod using the XV2 mod installer, and now whenever I try to start the game a window just pops up saying:
"The program can't start because xgcore.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
Has anyone else had this problem and did reinstalling it fix it for you? I bought the game through Steam and I'm kinda afraid to lose all my progress just to reinstall it.
Nvm. I managed to fix it by going into Steam and verifying the game cache. :)
I've got a bit of a problem. I've installed some mods and then I wanted to try them in training mode. But then, everytime I went to stage selection the game "stopped working". HELP
When i am using the 'EXTRACT-ALL'.bat file, after 10-11 mins I get an error saying "Unhandled Exception:OutOfMemoryException". And then it closes automatically
So I'm trying to use Cycit to edit the female saiyan default hero but it doesn't seem to be working. It says the settings are applied but nothing changes in the game.
It isn't working for me.. LibXenoverse and CriPack both are failing for me right now.

the ciritool decompressed wont do it it just stays as a black board not moving after it's loaded am i doing something wrong?

I downloaded transformation mods and they worked fine, then decided to download skill attacks from the same bundle and it said "please stop packaging x2m_skill.INI into the skills directory, That's an internal file of the installer." after the first installation or when I select multiple, same thing happened after I tried downloading characters, please help!

Huh, I take it back, I just needed to add the related intermediate files that I wasn't changing. Still wondering why the file is missing, though.

yeah this is good i suppose but i am stuck on downloading that thing at 1:00 the file kept on being sent to microsoft word for some reason. i decided to uninstall word and now it not showing up anywhere.

I have a great question. What if I wanted to be a modder for Xenoverese, how would I go about doing that & what would be the things I or we need as the people? An I dont mean add mods from the mods store. I mean learn to create your own move set battle styles & so forth

extracted the everything unlocked mod and the no arm gohan mod to the data folder of the patcher, did not work. even after doing the tutorial and shit

The installer and patcher came out as white papers with the windows word logo on them upon completion of their download i downloaded them wrong didnt i? If anyone could be as kind as to give me some assistance i would be grateful

This has probably been asked before but, if you do everything and try to run the "1-EXTRACT_ALL" and the window appears but closes within milliseconds does that mean its actually doing it...or have i fucked up?
