Note that if you want to have your DSM login page to be public and on your own custom domain, the same steps apply except you need to enter instead of no port on the end at 6:07.
Then use an Access Application to lock it down: Ryder.link/cloudflare/zero-trust/video.
Then you can disable QuickConnect in Control Panel.

I followed all your steps. the container shows a green light and in cloudflare it shows the status "healthy". when I just enter my local IP it loads the website as expected, but with my routed domain it doesn't load anything. what am I missing? are there any additional steps necessary in cloudflare? thank you very much!

Nope. That’s the joys of Cloudflare Tunnels.
Following your steps I noticed some differences when I was following along.
1.) When you cut and paste the docker command your view still shows all the items you removed in the notepad string. Why is that?? I only had "tunnel run..." and the service did connect but when I was adding the hostname to the tunnel I am getting an error for my domain name saying the Zone is not associated with the current account.
Answer: I had to add my domain and and change the name servers to cloudflare. I'll see what happens once they change.
Thanks for the video. I'll see what happens tomorrow. May have need some more DNS configurations for the hosting change.
OK, I was having some local caching issue. I tried from a different network later and this all worked. Again, thanks for the video.
I get this error when trying to save at the 6:31 mark of you video. ( Error: Could not route to /zones/undefined/dns_records, perhaps your object identifier is invalid?. No route for that URI ). So i'm guessing i need to buy a domain name or get a free one ?
Is the domain added to Cloudflare?

He tabs over to cloudflair tab on his browser, which was open from the start of the video. I believe it’s a 3rd part site/service that you will have to sign up for. They do have a free version, but you have to add a credit card to “purchase” the free plan.
You don’t have to provide any payment info to select the free Cloudflare plan.
Just watched this video again and am going to try to get things working but you are quite fast so at moments I fail to see where exactly you are adding or changing something.

@@RyderCragie trying to follow and so far managing. But at 03:15 you say I must install Container Manager but can't seem to find it. Am I missing out on something?
If you open Package Centre and search for Container Manager, does it appear?
@@RyderCragie No it doesn't, I see SAN manager and Disk manager that are actually installed

i failed to follow ur video. something not working for me. Will it be possible for you to make another video for WordPress hosting.
I’m not a fan of Wordpress and find it very complicated. I imagine you just upload the Wordpress files into the relevant folder in File Station then configure in Web Station as shown.
