Road Trip! MALAYSIA! Bera, Bentong, KL to Port Dickson 🚙👑🇲🇾

- In this episode @adventureswithtoyahandmurray drive the Myvi King from the Farmstay Airbnb in Triang, Bera (from the previous episode), stop over at Bentong for some vegan lunch in a hawker centre, spend a couple of days in Kuala Lumpur where we get some work done on the Perodua Myvi at the mechanics, Murray visits the camping shop and we go to the cinema to see Meg 2!
Then we head down to Port Dickson and check into our Airbnb at the Glory Beach Resort, see how people like to spend their Merdeka Day/Independence Day weekend and try some local snacks.

Yes, there is so much delicious vegetarian food in Malaysia 😍🤩, the mechanic has been very helpful 😁 hopefully no problems now, with so much driving ahead!!

Great place for camping. Just find good spot around teluk kemang, port dickson. But maybe can try any private beach as they keep clean and safe beach. But no problem with public beach, just maybe too crowded during weekends.. 😅

That savoury at Port Dickson where they said dhal could be made from split peas or lentils. I prefer split peas because more softer texture. Best eaten with fresh chives and dip in chilli sauce. Yum yum.
I prefer to use Goggle map than Waze.

@@adventureswithtoyahandmurray I forgot to mention that it is similar to the South Indian Tamil savoury snack called Vada or Vadai or Dal Vada. Perhaps with less masala. You can buy Vada at Coles supermarkets in the freezer section ready to eat meals. Also in Indian savoury stores in Australia.
@@salesaustralia789 we have found that Australian supermarkets have a lot more vegan foods than Asian supermarkets.

@@adventureswithtoyahandmurray so true. In Australian supermarkets Vegan products are in a special location and easier to find. But in Asian supermarkets these are mixed up and you have to hunt for it. Items like TVP (textured vegetables protein) not that easy to find.
Mechanic shop was top notch for sure. You guys certainly lucked out there. Tough luck on the tent.
Try Desaru Beach in Johor on your way south for beaches with clear waters nothing like in Port Dickson. You can camp there as well. Desaru beach is spread out but there's a worthy waterpark and a bunch of seaside activities. You can even rent a surfboard and go surfing.
Desaru is better layby from JB if you are going up to Pahang via Mersing (gateway to Tioman) then onward up the last coast

If you go to some countries in South east asia, you have to go to special vegetarian restaurants to eat. That means expensive meals.
Yes, that’s why we often cook our own food, we travel with everything we need to cook healthy delicious vegan food 😁
