I tried to sound like this all the time here in Nigeria but most people here see me as someone who pretends to sound like British but who cares, sounding like British speakers makes me happy
l am not a fan of Bridgerton, but l am impressed with this young man, Antonio your talent and language skills are impossible to match...let alone to top, for any non native speaker...l ve lived in the UK for over 20 years and l my pronunciation is good enough, or so l'm told, but nowhere near as good as yours! bravissimo!!
I needed to say this years ago. You look so adorable, handsome, cute and attractive.❤❤❤ And your knowledge, skills, attitude and sweet voice not second to your appearance. So glad to learn from you and you are a good teacher who teaching without stinginess...!
English was born in England, and that is why we call it 'English'...although it is now spoken not only in England but in other parts of the world. Its name remains 'English' wherever it is spoken. It is good for learners of English to know RP and the history of English. Learners, later, may choose which one they want to use in speaking English: RP or GA.
oh, how i love british, it's beautiful and speking or listening british makes me happy, when i was preparing for the IELTS I learnt american 'cuz i thought it was easier and now after exam i am speaking british and enjoying it. this video helped me a lot, thanks Antonio

It's one of the best pronunciation videos i've ever come accross. Also being a non-native speaker you explained every (both American and British) accent very clearly. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Excellent video! It's incredible how accurate you can switch between both accents! And thank you for the very clear rules of pronunciation with the help of IPA❤
OMG you don't know how happy I got when I saw this video, Bridgetown is one of my favorites series at the moment and watching one of my favorites English teachers talking about it, it's...idk how to describe it...thank you so much for this video
I'm so used to try not to roll the "r" when speaking English that it feels weird to roll them on purpose. I always find myself repeating sentences when I watch british shows... They just sound so delicious to my ears. Context: I'm Spanish.
Antonio, I follow you and I have learnt the American accent from you (which I had tried a lot, but didn't sound like american) and because of you I have taken ielts examination score 7 thanks a lot dear and I always recommend others you to make their accent better 😊❤ by the way, I'm from Uzbekistan😊
.One of my favorite teachers online...Having said that , shouldnt it be "a lot of you are used to hearING in the media"...Just saying .. ( BE USED TO+ VERB+ ING ).Great job though !!
Feels like British vowels are quite similar to French vowels I can see a wide similarly in both languages and I guess this is due to the influence of French language on english throughout the years... Thanks Antonio, you're the best🎉
Seeing this video for the first time makes me realize that half of this video lesson, I learn through watching British Movies, and I LOVE IT,❤❤❤ New subscriber here 😘
Hi, Antonio! I'm a teacher of English from Greece and I really enjoy your videos/teaching/advice/tips...you name it! I'm an RP person myself! By the way, both the outfit and the RP become you! A question: min. 2:40 you say "... I feel like a lot of you are used to hear in the media .." . Shouldn't you have said "...are used to hearing"? Keep up the good work ❣️🇬🇷
For native speakers of English, language or accent can tell their nationality. So, American people will never speak English with an RP accent (except for New Englanders), and British people will never speak English a GA accent. Many British people do pronounce r's at the end of words and before consonants, but they will never lengthen the short 'o' sound and change it to /ah/ like the Americans.
English is my 2nd language and I like both the sound of standard british english and standard american english so I enjoy alternating both accent . It’s fun !
Can you please make a video about shadowing? I lovee your videos and I want to get rid of my Turkish accent. Knowing you're also not a native speaker but having an natural American accent inspires me a lot! Are you giving lessons?
Antonio, you are an amazing English teacher, besides being an extremely handsome young man. I always enjoy watching your videos and, since I started following you, I have learnt a lot of new things. Even though I am not a big fan of the American standard accent, it is quite enjoyable to hear it from your lips. Keep up the good work and continue teaching us this beautiful language of yours. Cheers from "steaming" Athens, Greece 🤗☺️
Estaba buscando tu canal para seguir prácticando mi inglés y de la nada me salió de nuevo, agradecido :)) Ah mejorar mi inglés me encantan tus videos :))
Hey Anton, you know I always watched your vlogs and it sounded amazing whenever I tried the same way as you do. Who knows maybe someday I will be used it in other places! See you friend🙂
I tried to sound like this all the time here in Nigeria but most people here see me as someone who pretends to sound like British but who cares, sounding like British speakers makes me happy
Speak what you want
Be yourself 😅
As a hausa girl who also try to sound British i can relate😂
Same but in India
it doesn’t matter tho I want to sound fancy
That is right
So impressed that a non-native English speaker who speaks with a (perfect) US accent, can do the RP accent so well (I'm an English RP speaker myself).
Thank you❤️❤️
the short hair really suits you and this outfit??? 10/10 I think I've just fallen in love

Actually RP is used by the upper middle class. The upper classes including royals speak a posh version of RP that sounds different.
Love this video. The basics are presented in a super captivating way. Well done!
What a pertinent lesson...

Make more videos on literature and its history because I'm also student of English literature it'll very helpful
Just realized that my english is both American and Brittish RP btw i am the first person to comment 😮
Me, too. I realize l'm not consistent.
