    This video is very helpful in my research to restore/upgrade my father and older brother's original Hornet. I'm not sure if mine will match yours in performance and parts quality but you've given me great insight.

    also get bearings, like the front wheels? 👍🏻

    You don't need any of these over priced electronics or battery. The Tamiya electronics and motor work just fine.

    • @archiscapes1503
      @archiscapes1503  2 года назад

      You don’t need anything..if you like Tamiya electronics..good! It’s up to the individual if they want to customize their buggy/ car. That’s what’s great about our hobby. I have buggies with the original Tamiya electronics from the 80’s..they are fun. But I also like the Brushless Reedy/ lipo electronics too.

    Them shocks are rubbish..

    • @archiscapes1503
      @archiscapes1503  3 года назад +1

      I was actualy told that before buying them..but I went ahead and got them anyways to try for myself..to my sunrise, the Hornet handles much better..but I think the stabilizer bar and sway bars really helped. Plus, I really love the look of these..and the stabilizer is awesome looking. I actualy should have put in the video that I rebuilt the shocks..emptied the oil, cleaned them..and put tamiya medium weight oil in them. I love them..glad I took the risk and got this setup. The Hornet just “carves” up the track…but still has that fun “hopping” feel..just not as bad. Yes..there are better shocks out there..personal preference

      @@archiscapes1503 that's what it's all about, as long as you are happy with what you got, my opinion means nothing. Lol
      I used a 20 weight oil in mine. The lowest I could get and they run less stiff now. I agree, they do look amazing on the hornet.
