    I usually use these for a real plant. When I do that I will cover the bottom leaving the hole open and putting a felt piece on the drainage dish. I also just put the soil in the pot and haven’t had to use any liner and it does good. Also when covering the bottom and top, I put little slits all the way around the material and that seems to work better as far as laying flat. I never thought about the pattern but that is a great idea.

    Was looking for something to cover a couple not so nice plastic pots, but yet are removable so I can water my plants.

    Not sure how to make the pattern out of paper? Did you just lay the pots on the side and roll it as you drew the lines around it? Yours seems so perfect and mine doesn't.

    If you left a drain hole, could you use real plants?
