I swear that Kendrick is a master at his craft. Every single sound, lyric, subtle sample, etc. has a purpose. Damn, studying his music is extremely rewarding. He is most certainly a student of music, not just rap. Props to King Fu Kenny for COMIN through with this album. Pure inferno. Right now, I'm really feeling this project. Fear, XXX, DNA, and Element are just 🔥🔥🔥 Just..... DAMN.
That is honestly the best reaction i have seen. And I have seen very good ones. The analysis of the songs is very detailed and you seems to understand Kendrick on a much deeper level than just the mindless Kendrick fan who follow him for the hype. I think if you get to understand the message behind every song of Kendrick, you really will come out with more knowledge and a different perspective. You just learn a lot from Kendrick. Well done for the reaction. All Love.
Richy Kamtcheu man!!!! Thank you so much!! I appreciate you watching!! Yeah, after TPAB, I really got another aspect of Kendrick's music. He spoke to my soul you know? Beyond the music, I felt what he was talking about!! There's a difference between the Kendrick fan that knows m.A.A.d city and Swimming Pools, and the Kendrick fan who knows why Kendrick is so important and true to the culture. Big ups to you brotha! Hope your day is going well!
this album is so good because it mixes different flows, and the beats are almost like different beats in different eras of LA hip hop music. It's truly an LA rap album, and it's put together so masterfully. dope video for a dope album 10/10
Brian Garcia exactly!!! The West Coast sound is more than just bass and subject matter solely having to do with promiscuity and smoking weed. Done right, it's exactly as you described. DAMN. really expands on the sound that LA Hip-Hop started with along with the message behind it before thug culture was glorified. Yet another reason why this masterpiece was such a refreshing listen. 😁🙌🏾
DAMN(NNNNNNNNN). Kendrick! This album is insane! Loved your reactions btw :) :) Here's my favorites: DNA. - That beat is crazy (the perfect beginning in my opinion); YAH. - So frickin' smooth... ; LOYALTY. - What a lit collab!! ; PRIDE. - This one gave me THE feels ; HUMBLE. - I mean, who doesn´t love this track and the message behind it?! ; LOVE. - Perfection, just perfection. Like you said it's just a beautiful song ; XXX. - The lyrics are unbelievable ; DUCKWORTH. - That's how you end an amazing album!
The Tune Up i had never really paid much attention to his lyricism before, i was sleeping SO HARD ON THIS MAN holy heckin. so much is happening in music right now i cant keep track. seriously though im off to memorize EVERYTHING now xD we need more humans like Kendrick in this world honestly.
This comment section is heaven, so much positive energy. I also love this album, it's another excellent project from Kendrick. I heard he might be dropping a new album this year.
Yeah man!! I’m always happy to see comments on this video. They never go left, and even when jokes are thrown, it’s all with playful intent! I wish that was the case with most of my videos now. 😔 I heard he’s been working on some new stuff! I can’t wait!! With Cole as consistent as he’s been, some new Kendrick really would set the universe back in balance 😂🔥🙏🏾😊
This album is ridiculous. The most honest and important album I've heard in forever. If this isn't album of the year, I'd like to know what is. And yeah, about halfway through the first time I heard "Loyalty", I thought, "This is a #1 hit. Done.". I loved your reaction because it was pretty much the same as mine.
Matt Lancaster ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ is album of the year. And this is coming from a Kendrick stan. Favorite of all time but I don't think it's album of the year.
Oh Man I love so many tracks. But Adoration of the Magi has to be number 1 for me. Behind that. Deliver, Little Death, and of course Mural. Mural is just...life! What about you?
Dillon! Sorry for the super late reply man!!! Either Mural or Dots & Lines was my favorite off that record!! I thought he lyrically and creatively killed those songs the best!!
Jacob Denise I FEEL YOU ON THAT!!!!! MBDTF IS FOREVER CLASSIC. A true masterpiece. Same as DAMN. We'll be talking about this record down the line just as we're talking about Dark Fantasy right now. 🔥🔥🔥
Great video Gerard! I feel you on so many levels. This is 100. I got goosebumps with you reacting to FEAR, I wanted to see your reaction to that specific track too and I felt it right with you all over again like when I first heard it. That's probably my favorite track off the album plus it helps that it was produced by one of my favorite producers. DUCKWORTH is my second favorite on par with LOVE. Both have amazing production, shout out 9th Wonder! Everything in the album is lowkey but has a proper and clear definition. The message is clear if you listen AND at the same time you can vibe out to it. That's the best thing you can do as a musical artist... think about it. The best changes are naaaaasty, the Juvenile 'Ha' flow is ridiculous. So many damn fucking points in this album where I cannot comprehend that we are being gifted with this type of talent. Overall great album, great video. Stay up.
HGHRCLBR much love brotha!!! Thank you for you watching!!! And I couldn't agree more. FEAR. struck a major chord with me and after those bars where he detailed all the ways he could die, I had chills for the rest of the duration of the track. Artists that can make you think, feel, AND jam, in a body of work, I feel, are true masters of their craft. Lyrically prolific, musically profound, and overall, meaningful and impactful, DAMN. is a historic drop, from Hip-Hop's best MC. 😊🙌🏾
DeShawn Thomas thank you so much!!!!! Yeah, that one and FEAR. really hit home. So much said in those songs. Had me feeling crazy bruh 😂 gotta love when K. Dot gives you the real in the dopest format 😂
Great review. There's not many reactors that actually get the meaning of the songs or the album(at least for the most part) during the first listen. Also, her name really khadija? She listen to NxWorries - Khadija yet?
I absolutely love the discussion you two had after listening to the album, and I'm excited to hear what else y'all get from this album after a couple of listens. Keep up the amazing insight and work
Alaya Morris I'm pretty sure I'll be drawing on concepts from this album with every other Hip-Hop release I put on here 😂😂 SO MANY LEVELS!!! And thank you so much for watching after the album!!! I was hoping people would lol I was captivated. Let me say 😊 much love to you!! Glad you enjoyed the reaction!! 😁😁
the gun shot in the beginning is the same gun shot in the end if you think about it. Life and god basically flashes before his eyes before the bullet actually hits him and once he's done talking to god and saying the totally irony of it all he gets a second chance when it rewinds. It's so dope how he did it!!!!
You guys changed the way I view the album (sonically based). Very vibe-ish album, where Kendrick takes people on a high then a low point... but still being real and vulnerable at the same time without being corny. Definitely in my opinion a very good "commercial" album if you consider songs like LOYALTY, GOD, and LOVE. 9.5/10. Lastly bring the sista on the left back for another reaction. But anyways great video and "AHA"!!!
First off It's like I'm reliving my actual reaction to this amazing album. I respect y'all so much cause it's like you're right there vibing to it. That change up in DNA was just crazy. Loyalty's a banger, Lust is out of this world, XXX is INSANE. I can relate to Fear so much because he's actually talking about what's real. I could talk about every album. There's not a lot of rappers mainstream or just regular talking about political and social issues. Maybe a few, nobody is really on his level. Everything you guys say after the reaction I agree with. It's like everytime Kendrick drops an album it's different than its previous one. Personally my favorite is TPAB because that's the one I can relate to the most. It's what made me a fan in the first place and it pisses me off cause I should've been listening since Section 80. People hate on him so much but that's because there's nobody like him. Such an impactful role mode as you guys said. Excellent reaction guys, and just...DAMN 👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥
Jaren Smith My man!!! Thank you so much for this comment!!! Yeah, Kendrick always changes the game when he drops and TPAB DEFINITELY shook the game up when it dropped. His artistry is really unmatched because he just speaks with a different, and more honest confidence in his tone. It's not hard to see why he's at the level in Hip-Hop he's at! Greatness is greatness 😁🙌🏾
Literally been on repeat since the day it came out..... I felt like he was adressing his emotions and his political views along with trying to maintain a relationship with God. In Duckworthy, he talks about the coincidence of his father "Ducky" meeting "Anythony aka TopDawg meeting and it was that kind act of his father that basically saved the Kendrick Lamar we all know now and the first song is like a story of what would of happened if Kendrick grew up without a father which is why it was reversed in the end. Just pure genius and creativity in this album and thats what makes Kendrick Lamar one of thee Greatest of all time.
kavMANko couldn't agree more. What sets him apart from Drake and Cole, in my book, is that EVERY TIME Kendrick drops a project, it resonates. It takes. It leaves an impact. Not to denounce More Life or 4YEO, but DAMN. has had people talking, analyzing, and deciphering every aspect of the album since it dropped. A true emcee, an artist of elite caliber, and like you said, one of the greatest EVER. 🙌🏾
I could've sworn I subscribed when I saw your reaction to J. Cole's album "4 your eyez only", but after watching this, definitely subscribing. Good job
Go back and listen to Duckworth, Duckworth is his last name and the song is about his dad working at KFC and the Owner of Top Dog Entertainment. Top Dog wanted to robb the KFC but Kendricks dad would get on the folks good side and give away food. So Top Dog didn't robb it. Years later he brought his dad to the studio and his dad and Top Dog tripped out and told Kendrick the connection. Also check out Dons scenes in rush hour 2, kunfu Kenny. im sure that's why Don was in the DNA video.
Wow! Thanks for the response, didn't think you'll would. I just notice details in things I pay attention to. Needless to say that the album, his videos and his bars are most definitely Fire! Loved the reaction as well guys, and the lady is hand made by GOD. Very pretty!
Phillip Ramirez of course I reply!!! I love great music convo! Especially when people pick up on lines and concepts such as you did!!!! And much love!!! That's my homegirl!! One of the dopest humans I've ever met 😁🙌🏾
MyOwnBoss been rockin' with K. Dot since forever!! Look At Detox was actually the first song that was shown to me 😂😂😂 much love!! Thanks for watching!!!
Almost two months later & this my first time on your channel for the one and only kdot. loved seeing you guys enjoying every track as much as me hahaha
Ludwig II OHHHHHH THAT'S WHAT DUDE MEANT 😭 I was like I know, being the fan of Kendrick I am, I Forsure mentioned it somewhere in the video 😂 I thought Section.80 was a mixtape and Overly Dedicated was an album. I had them mixed 😅 I feel so ashamed!! 😭
I really appreciate y'all's review, especially the girl featured in the vid. I hate it when I watch a reaction and chicks act like they can't dance or turn up to this masterpiece. Girl move or something? Much props to you both. Also, if y'all aren't dating, you need to. That chemistry is rare and hard to find ✌️
TheNewRedLine haha!!! Trust me, Khadeejah's got one of the best vibes on the planet!! We always run into each other at concerts and whenever we're at the same parties it's hits another level 😂😂
I really don't like much rap/trap music. But I gave this album a try, and just...the whole story and the production of this album is phenomenal. Kendrick, out of what I've heard, has extremely deep lyrics, and that's what I love. It's awesome. I would definently recommend DAMN. to a lot of people.
Kendrick is truly the best Hip-Hop has to offer. He does it all. Deep records, fun records, love records, inspiring records, everything. He’s the purest representation of a Hip-Hop artist. 🔥
Justis 00 REALLY?! How so? If you don't mind me asking?! I loved how soulful it was. The Funk/Neo-Soul elements of the record really won me over. Which is mainly why I adore Childish's "Awaken, My Love!" so much!
YES I Love it too!! i heard this song just before a couple days in the radio, i was directly flashed, this is great and brought me to here, NICE reaction friend!
c0rrupt Media I'm sorry!! I legit always thought it was his debut mixtape!! 😭 plus the only artist I "stan" would maybe be Childish Gambino 😁🙌🏾 but in all honesty, I listen to too much music to "stan" anyone!
c0rrupt Media I try to keep it as positive as possible! And yeah man 😅😅 I did mention Blow My High in the episode though!! 😂 I get them mixed up all the time, but I love both projects!!
San Juanita Martinez Forsure! Yeah, a friend of mine recently told me about their latest drop so there's a good chance it'll find its way to the channel!
+Brandon McNeely I may have accidentally cut my mention of it in editing because I know I mentioned it while we filmed. I mean, how could I not? Section.80 was Section.80 😭🔥🔥🔥🙌🏾
Dude high key that album deserves to be a certified classic. Too many people sleep on that joint. Poe Mans Dreams is one of my all time favorite songs by Kendrick.
Brandon McNeely bruhhhhhh you're preaching to the choir!!! Spiteful Chant is one of my favorites!!! Even the popular joints everyone knows off that album still bump hard as hell!!!
D. Devins aww man! I love that song! That 24K Magic sample is crazy!! And I've seen Rihanna live and she's phenomenal man! But hey, you have your opinion and I've got mine!
God this album is incredible...wow. I cannot stop playing it! The production is insanity!!
Mr. TalkBox sample on Loyalty! He's goin' places! 🔥😁
Julia Thaxton Drumz RIGHT?! HOW BOUT THE SWITCH UPS ON THE U2 TRACK?! 😭🔥🔥🔥
Julia Thaxton Drumz so dope!!
I swear that Kendrick is a master at his craft. Every single sound, lyric, subtle sample, etc. has a purpose. Damn, studying his music is extremely rewarding. Rakuto 29 they call him King for a reason!!!! A true testament to a real MC. We are all so lucky to have Kendrick's music. 🙌🏾
Damn what an album...
SPAM POLICE I'm SAYING 😭🔥🙌🏾
amazing reaction for an amazing album 🔥
Twister thank you so much!!! And yeah man... K. Dot really did the DAMN thing on this one 🙌🏾
Twister literally blew on my screen to get what I thought was a hair off my screen....then I realized it was your icon
Like anyone with a frank pfp

Inês Simões took the words right outta my mouth!!!! 😂 absolute masterpiece!!! King is back 😎🙌🏾🔥
Inês Simões ELEMENT???? 😔
ELEMENT is also fire!!!! Like I said this album is pure dynamite 🔥🙌🏾🔥🙌🏾🔥🙌🏾
never looked that much into Kendrick before... big mistake on my part. off to download the entire damn discography
That Singer Elias he's beyond incredible!!! This, Section.80, good kid, m.A.A.d city, and To Pimp a Butterfly are masterpieces 😭🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥

That Drop on XXX was my favorite. Reminded me of some Easy E shit! I cant get over it.
Dillon! Love your profile pic by the way!!!! And HELL YEAH. West Coast vibes are ALL OVER THIS RECORD. Eazy woulda loved this album forsure. 🙌🏾
Tetsuo and Youth Love! Hell yea!
Dillon! What's your favorite track off "Tetsuo" bro??
Oh Man I love so many tracks. But Adoration of the Magi has to be number 1 for me. Behind that. Deliver, Little Death, and of course Mural. Mural is just...life! What about you?
Dillon! Sorry for the super late reply man!!! Either Mural or Dots & Lines was my favorite off that record!! I thought he lyrically and creatively killed those songs the best!!
Haven't been this hyped over an album since Kanye's "My Beautiful Dark Fantasy".... This record's fucking insane.
Jacob Denise I FEEL YOU ON THAT!!!!! MBDTF IS FOREVER CLASSIC. A true masterpiece. Same as DAMN. We'll be talking about this record down the line just as we're talking about Dark Fantasy right now. 🔥🔥🔥
So I was taking a walk the other day.
Joseph Anthony chills, man. CHILLS. 😭🙌🏾
Great video Gerard! I feel you on so many levels. This is 100.

The deepest song Kendrick wrote, FEAR. Is my all time favorite track by him
I was so hype to see yalls thoughts on XXX! Was not disappointed
DeShawn Thomas thank you so much!!!!! Yeah, that one and FEAR. really hit home. So much said in those songs. Had me feeling crazy bruh 😂 gotta love when K. Dot gives you the real in the dopest format 😂
This album cooked my eggs
Great review. There's not many reactors that actually get the meaning of the songs or the album(at least for the most part) during the first listen. Also, her name really khadija? She listen to NxWorries - Khadija yet?
touchmenot films thank you for watching!!! Much love!! And nice NxWorries reference lol yup! That's her name! She just spells it different!
I absolutely love the discussion you two had after listening to the album, and I'm excited to hear what else y'all get from this album after a couple of listens. Keep up the amazing insight and work

I've seen a hundred different reactions to this album and this is my favorite
Thank you so much!!! Means the world that you watched at all!! 😁

Myriam Michael I appreciate you ❤😊 thank you! 😁

But anyways great video and "AHA"!!!
Tevin I completely agree brotha!!!! Thank you so much for watching!!! And of course I'll have Khadeejah back on for more reactions!!
Tevin AAAHAAA!!! 😂😁😎
First off It's like I'm reliving my actual reaction to this amazing album. I respect y'all so much cause it's like you're right there vibing to it. That change up in DNA was just crazy.
Great reaction!!
Tris A. Thank you so much!!!!
Literally been on repeat since the day it came out..... I felt like he was adressing his emotions and his political views along with trying to maintain a relationship with God. Go back and listen to Duckworth, Duckworth is his last name and the song is about his dad working at KFC and the Owner of Top Dog Entertainment. Phillip Ramirez I got that second listen through!! I wish I could've put that all in the video 😂
Phillip Ramirez and RUSH HOUR 2 WAS MY SHIT! I CAUGHT THAT AFTERWARDS TOO! What a video DNA is 🔥🙌🏾
Wow! Thanks for the response, didn't think you'll would. I just notice details in things I pay attention to. Needless to say that the album, his videos and his bars are most definitely Fire! Loved the reaction as well guys, and the lady is hand made by GOD. Very pretty!

Kendrick only has 5 albums. Overly Dedicated is a mixtape

Great review!
Jacobi Craig thank you!!!
DAMN. she fine
That's what she sayin tho... 😂😉
Joshua Panicker that's about to be her catch phrase for any future reaction she comes back for!! 😂😂
this album makes me want to give tpab another chance. imma a fan of every album beside tpab
Justis 00 REALLY?! How so? If you don't mind me asking?! I loved how soulful it was. The Funk/Neo-Soul elements of the record really won me over. Which is mainly why I adore Childish's "Awaken, My Love!" so much!
LOVE is Gold!
Steve Richards HELL YEAH! The video he did for it is BEYOND gorgeous!!!

Fourevertwentyseven Joey reaction is up!
He didn't mention Section 80 when he listed Kendrick's albums. That's how you know he's not a real stan.
c0rrupt Media I'm sorry!! I legit always thought it was his debut mixtape!! 😭 plus the only artist I "stan" would maybe be Childish Gambino 😁🙌🏾 but in all honesty, I listen to too much music to "stan" anyone!
Ah, see you mixed up OD and Sec80 :D Dont apologize man. Love the positive vibes around here.
Gambino is great too. I heard hes retiring the name.
c0rrupt Media I try to keep it as positive as possible! And yeah man 😅😅 I did mention Blow My High in the episode though!! 😂 I get them mixed up all the time, but I love both projects!!
c0rrupt Media yeah... broke my heart, but I hope he doesn't retire from making music anytime soon!!
you should do pentatonix
San Juanita Martinez I did a reaction to their Evolution of Michael Jackson compilation!
Yes but they just released there new album with two videos that I would think you would love
San Juanita Martinez Forsure! Yeah, a friend of mine recently told me about their latest drop so there's a good chance it'll find its way to the channel!
Ok thank you i really enjoy your reactions 🖒
San Juanita Martinez thank you so much!
YOU FORGOT SECTION 80!!
+Brandon McNeely I may have accidentally cut my mention of it in editing because I know I mentioned it while we filmed. I mean, how could I not? Section.80 was Section.80 😭🔥🔥🔥🙌🏾
Brandon McNeely I mentioned Blow My High during the Loyalty part! 😂 I'm highkey trying to remember if I left it out anywhere now lol
You listing album and you miss out section 80?
