Redemption Song is a masterpiece.
I was lucky enough to be in the Bahamas for a few months many years ago. Every Sunday(?) evening/night they'd have music down by the beach - so loud you could hear it miles away. They used to start off the first couple of hours with Reggae (and plenty of Marley) and I still miss those evenings :)

Little known fact Bob Marleys father was a white Jamaican called Norval Marley. He was a Captain in the Royal Marines and originally from Sussex in the UK. So Bob was really speaking from the heart when he wrote One Love.
His father was not in his life and the white side of his family wanted nothing to do with him until he was dead and famous.
@@tatu8663 His father was away most of the time working but he supported Bob and his mother financially up until he died of a heart attack when Bob was 10 years old.
Actually he lived in the vicinity. At the time of Bob's conception the elder Marley was already in his 50s or so and had long left military service. He rode around the parish on horseback as a plantation agent yet only saw his son 2-3 times in his entire life while living close by. Dad was a total deadbeat and the rest of extended white clan completely ostracized him. To the captain's credit, he provided a few pounds here and there.
