So you race 28 races just to qualify for the last 3 races (playoffs) then single point race , double points race snd triple points race . It’s just dumb .

Double and triple points is not a fair system
I personally will not recognize the winner of the whole thing. The double and triple points deal is just too gimmicky like nascar. It puts too much imphasis on just the last 2 rounds. And look at how many riders who finish top 20 in supercross will not even be racing the nationals. Tomac, webb, musquin, and several other riders with supercross only deals
If tomacs doin well or wins supy he will 100% do outdoors
Whether you recognize them or not doesn’t matter. It’s a huge accomplishment
Bottom line if you want the championship you better be on your shit at the last two rounds.

Love it! But, calling it a world championship is a little silly..
Everyone knows it's not a real world championship just like MXGP isn't a real world championship they just call it a world championship to make it sound more important and big than what it really is.

And what the FIM President, Jorge Viegas said is true. "Personally, I feel that so far the AMA Supercross an FIM World Championship is not a real world championship because it is only held in the US. In fact, Canada was left untouched. I prefer a real world championship and hope to make it happen"
And why Kenneth Feld felt it was unacceptable to give up his FIM World Championship status, and Feld teamed up with MX Sports to create the SuperMotocross World Championship. If there is a need to create a World Championship it will need official approval from the FIM in order for this competition to be legal.
So you give more credit to the “World SX” 2 race championship? The US Supercross championship unquestionably has the best riders from all over the world competing.

I don't disagree that the best right now race in the US, but calling it a world championship is stupid. It's a US championship. I know why they're doing it, but they just make the US look like morons that think they should be on a pedestal, high above the rest of the world.

That World Championship branding is just a ridicolous PR stunt... no world champions to be crowned in this series, whatever Feld talks it up to be.

I am so looking forward to seeing this up and coming season, been a big fan of Eli Tomac for a few years now and Im hoping he can stay away from injury and take this Championship again, for sure he will have all the others to beat but this guy is so good Im hoping he can do it

Why is it called a WORLD championship, when competitors are selected from AMA SX and MX best riders. What about races outside USA and MXGP / MX2GP best riders like Herlings, Cajser, Vialle, Geerts, etc. ?

Can’t a lot of the tracks can’t be ridden in winter… that’s the reason motocross a summer sport
The "S" in SMX would have to stand for Snow because in this scenario, 90% of the outdoor tracks would be covered in it 😂

@@keiannschyler well majority of them are covered in snow so it will be a lot more travel for the teams not to mention the riders would pretty much need 2 bikes because their setups are so vastly different because supercross and motocross and the teams would have to double their bike budget to suit this scenario… not possible buddy

@@henrikforsberg683 it was in the works prior to world Europe/Aus SX. I have the survey email from Feld to prove it from a year or 2 ago where they were gauging interest in indoors & outdoors joining forces. They only sent this to emails of some people that had purchased tickets that season.
When you think about it if Ken roczen did more outdoor events he probably could have won super Motocross he only lost by like less than 10 points

This doesn't make a lot of sense. Seems the goal is the FIM and Euros want to somehow hook in and take advantage of US Supercross and US Motocross. Really dumb to race US Supercross then US Motocross then all the guys have to switch back to Euro/AU supercross for 3 races?
They were trying to make MX more popular in US SX gets way more love than pro MX..now it's one thing.
You seem to be confused with this and WSX. WSX is a completely different series the 3 playoff rounds are probably all gonna be US

Ok, so normal supercross, normal motocross, and then some 3 race playoff thing that seems to only have 1 round sorted out at this point (finale in LA Coliseum, round 1 & 2 TBD at this point). Seems a professional series would have the Sept events figured out when it starts in Jan ... but guess not.
Ok I remember when ,, we used to go watch your guys practice ove on sunrise valley in 1995 it was a time of beginning of the era of free style and metal militia after that then it all rolled into what we have now , thanks Ricky Carmichael , and you married the girl that was hanging out with Sandra peters but with her marriage name that I did not know , while me and mark and Stu were selling off the parts and equipment for the closing of that track , August or September 1995 was the last day of sunrise valley raceway, thanks BigAl California praise Jesus Christ grace amen 🙏

I think this is going to be a total flop, there was nothing wrong with the old system. the organizers just needed to stop been greedy and stop lining their own pockets. and then give the money back to the sport riders teams and stop charging the tracks so much, The riders don,t need more racers just more prize money
I don't like it. It's like gambling basically. Three races and the change in points in each! That's not consistency it's luck. It's luck on the start, it's luck on how you did in the SX or MX championship and EVEN it's luck if a guy even shows up! It's like putting it all on red or black. Three races is not enough to determine anything. But if it's just for the fan than SHIT YEAH. Let's put them all in wrestling uniforms too and give them microphones!

World Series is in USA. Find a bigger market with more fans, more/bigger venues, and more market willing to buy new dirt bikes since that’s ultimately what draws the OEMs to this in the first place, and w/o them, it all falls apart.

Just follow the money. It’s the “invisible hand” that guides it. If those markets cultivated it better, that’s where decades and decades of intense, large-scale supercross and motocross would have taken place all this time, and Carmichael/MC/etc would’ve all devoted huge portions of their careers to testing their mettle for the money.
