but he improved so much though, listen to the old uninformed podcast and the reboot I think circa 2017-2018 he mellowed down a whole lot but I think that anger issue will always be there

the amazing part is that they gave him 5 minutes and he just telling jokes on full speed like a joke machine and still manages to make everybody laugh like it's a full standup

@@TheSighphiguy it wasn't super weak, he was just nervous for whatever reason, its strange because I've never seen him even remotely tense, he's always the opposite of tense, he doesn't give a shit, this was rare, maybe he had low blood sugar or something

I am deliberately misusing it to make a point, how I feel about Bill Burr. In a sense, I'm using it as a devise. If you don't get it or if it means nothing to you, it's totally fine...
It is an acceptable practice these days to use words like literally and objectively as intensifiers, not in accordance with their original definition, in case you haven't noticed this shift.

Bill back when he had hair, he started off a bit nervy, you could tell, the crowd didnt know him so was no star power just pure comedy at the start they were holding back But by the end he had them won over. Love to see how far hes come and always love Conan.

That's not why they were holding back in the beginning. They were holding back because even though he was funny and making good points about the risks of rescuing a dog, most people disagree with him and think that rescuing a dog is a wonderful and rewarding thing to do. Even if they themselves would not rescue for whatever reason, perhaps the ones he named, they still don't feel comfortable laughing at someone who's ridiculing one of the kindest, noblest things a person can do in their life--rescue an animal.

Proof that Bill Burr is A FEARLESS COMEDIAN. Maybe not where animals are concerned but to joke about rescue dogs? That's a gutsy move. More people would be pissed off about that than Ricky Gervais's kid joke if this got wider play.I'm going to send this to several rescue people I know & wait for the reaction AND they're Burr fans so it should be hilarious.

The Old Dads trailer had so many cliches, I thought Bill was making fun of movies like that, and that it was a fake, parody trailer. Apparently it is a real movie that exists, and Bill wrote words like ‘on fleek’ into the script. In 2023.
The irony is he ended up taking his brand new dog to a shelter because it developed anger issues because it imitated Bill's anger issues.

Reminder that Nia Gurr, I mean Nia Burr, his wife, forced him to rescue a pit bull and then forced him to get rid of it. The dog's name was Cleo, and I believe she has died.

He admits she picked the dog out, but said its temper could put their daughter at risk. Having actually bit several people over the course of him owning the dog.
So seeing evidence of that claim would be great of her forcing him to get rid of the dog.
Seems like the right call to preserve the life of your daughter over a dog.

My guess is 90% of the dogs at the pound are there for a reason...probably because they bit a kid in the family or something like that. People just assume all dogs (and cats) are sweet little creatures when in fact they're not. Some of them are nasty, mean, dangerous and unstable.
