    Chanos chanos are unbelievably fast, strong and untiring when speared. They actually don’t tear off easily. They are bony and have big, dense scales.

    Awa’s act like Moana Kali’s, just go to the sandy bottom and dust. Nice catch!

    Excellent tutorial very informative on cooking fresh fish from Hawaii water 🤙great job on diving safe although I wouldn’t go to deep water alone without a partner and I love watching Hi skin dive

    A good note to have for safety purposes is when you're gonna poke out one tako keep the gun unloaded so there is less of one chance of falsely firing your gun but yessah braddah beautiful catch cuz and stay safe and ALOOOOHAAA

    Solid vid, solid drops. I live in CA sadly, hot HI. Kayak ocean for me. Wouldn't dare drop in GWS territory where the viz is like 5 feet.

    Awesome vid. Kinda trippy how the awas have that weird clear coating over their face. I tried cutting a piece of it once and it’s like a weird firm material like plastic almost

    • @zaching
      @zaching  2 года назад

      Thanks bro. Yeah its super weird. Also weird how they swim with their mouth open lol

    I scale my awas. The time I didn’t scale it before filleting it was super bitter and didn’t taste good. I think I got some of the slime that’s on the skin. And when I made patties and lomi it wasn’t good eatting like how it usually is

    • @zaching
      @zaching  2 года назад

      Will keep that in mind for next time! I think I got lucky this time cuz the patties tasted good, but I don’t wanna take any chances lol. Thanks for the tip!
