Barry was the only member who didn't want to reform Country Joe and The Fish, which is why they toured as The Country Joe Band. No fish means no Country Joe &The Fish! I organised an tour managed both of their U.K tours before they folded. Since then I now organise tours for Barry and also Bruce Barthol, who are very dear friends. Joe retired from touring in 2007 -last gig was the Isle Of Wight Festival in 2007 (on the mains tage before The Rolling Stones), and I was lucky enough to play spoons on "Feel Like..." with my pal Dave Allen on washboard. @@spiderpromos When did Barry become "the Fish"? Because linernotes on 2nd album Feel like I'm fixing to die speak of the fish as the rest of the besides Joe so back then the fish was a plural meaning the other guys
OK rendition. Joe didn't put much feeling into the song but obviously wasn't stoned like during the original. Left out L-S-D, which is said twice at the end which added greatly to the audaciousness of this great tune! Band was good!
