    I didn't just cry by myself, I bawled by myself. Amazing film. And that quote was the perfect way to end this interview "it ends with love" ❤ I didn't realise it was a book, but that's going on my TBR now that I heard him say how great it is

    If they ever make another Tombstone, and they don't cast Garrett Hedlund as Doc Holliday, I don't even want to see it.

    you shoulda picked the balls man. he had a child already he didn't need it no more and now he can't speak to his child

      In all honesty, if he had he probably would have been left there to bleed out. If he had picked the eye it would have been once again too risky. Picking the tongue was the only thing that would leave him with a relatively normal life no chance of being outcast or maimed or even dead.

    • @tommy1138
      @tommy1138 6 лет назад +4

      Ronsel clearly died from his wounds, that's why Jamie smothered his own father without hesitation. The final scene of Ronsel meeting his son in Germany was a fantasy sequence of what SHOULD have been.

    • @katiemark3
      @katiemark3 6 лет назад +13

      It isn't a fantasy. Virgil Williams talked about changing the ending from the book because THAT ending only alludes to what he should be doing and where he should be. The ending was meant to have a little hope added and says the reason why his tongue was cut out was to fulfill that relationship in a son having a father.

    • @tommy1138
      @tommy1138 6 лет назад +1

      Then why did he look dead in the barn while his mother wiped him down? Why was it so easy for Jamie to kill his racist father in bed? Why did Ronsel's father look so defeated when he was forced to help bury the racist father? The ending looked like a dream sequence....It was too perfect.

    • @katiemark3
      @katiemark3 6 лет назад +3

      Because doing the things he did were still despicable. Or maybe he thought he was dead and he was just unconcious after losing some blood. Who knows.
