That sounds pretty massive man. You definitely know how to dial in an amp. I have a katana 50, mick thomson soloist with emgs and it's just hard for me to get the sound I'm looking for. It's a very tinny amp imo.
Thanks brother it’s all in the mid range and lows that makes it sound thick and full people tend to dial back the mids and push the gain and you’ll get that good cut through but no fullness. This video is actually a plug in on the computer not an actual amp I mean obviously it’s modeled after a real amp
I’m about to pull the trigger on buying a second hand one. You still happy with your purchase despite all the pre-owner flaws? I’d be very interested to see a follow up to how it is after you’ve worked on it 👊🏻
I havnt done the swaps yet the pickups sound great but the fact that the strings don’t lineup with the pool pieces definitely drives me crazy. I’ve been in contact with Ibanez for the truss rod cover which I can get so that’s cool but overall I’m really happy with this thing still, I played a lot I actually took it out of the drop A# and put it in. I believe drop C# and I think it plays even better but once I do all the upgrades with swapping to pick ups and put the truss rod cover, and I’ll definitely do a follow up video man but thanks for watching. I think you’ll be really happy if you buy one of these.
@ in drop A#??? Do you play really light? I mean I’m just curious I’m not an extremely hard player. I’d say normal and I’m not like a shredder or anything. Most of the stuff I play is Breaking Benjamin Ish hence the tuning but that seems like it would be a bit floppy in that tuning. Were you transposing or anything using NDSP?
@@feedthewolf6930 honestly i like them with a little less tension for drop A# it is a little floppy but not as much as you would think i like being able to bend easier plus i don’t pick super hard no transposing or anything in this video
@@SIX1NINEGUITARSANDGEAR what kind and what size nut did you put on it? I’m just trying to figure out how to set this thing up for that tuning without issues with it being the scale length it is Because I really wanna order this guitar, but if I do, it’s gonna be through Sweetwater so might as well have them do all the stuff my Luther would ahead of time . That way if they screw up, they will be the ones fixing it .
In certain stores, they cannot sell it as a Jake Bowen guitar because it' has been modded. It is not the original guitar and has to be sold as a different SKU#. Secondly at certain stores they will not accept guitars without the original parts. That guitar should not have been sold as a Jake Bowen.
Looks like the previous owner didn't use F-spaced pickups, a mistake most beginners make. As far as I know it doesn't effect the tone but it sure looks kind of wonky.
pff, a dude at a guitar store poked a screw through my Solar when installing Fishmans... it's one of the open pore Solars and I've since dug into the front with my Chicken picks, so it wasn't such a big deal and I'm probably never selling it I got a discount, but the sheer unprofessionalism makes me not going back there any time soon

@@SIX1NINEGUITARSANDGEAR Thanks for the reply. Subscribed! Last question, the price I can get it for is around 500 U.S dollars. Should I just do it?!
@@alee7275 that seems like a great price ! Aslong as the condition is good I’d say go for it !
@@SIX1NINEGUITARSANDGEAR why did you take it out of that tuning? Such a great tuning.
Hi, can you please tell me how much this guitar weighs? very important information for me, need a light guitar to play live.

Yes exactly I believe I stated that in the video. Dumb avoidable mistake I’ve since then thrown fishman moderns in this guitar which sound awesome
