The problem with Spurs is Daniel Levy who runs the club as a business but occasionally gets panicked into worrying that the fans are turning. 21 years, 15 managers, no underpinning strategy, one EFL cup, one UCL final where they did not turn up. Dont think Spurs should sack the manager, but they should be doing better with the resources they have injuries or not. They seem to be like it every year for years now , while other teams of similar size are winning things or getting close .
Every team has injuries but this basically our backbone of the side so the fans should understand this . OK some tactics have been suspect but the players are giving their all . Get behind the team for god sake. I agree. get the first team back to strength then judge after that.

So what you're saying is we have no strength in depth - yet Ange and Levy agreed these signings, eg, Werner, Dragusin etc. So it comes back to them and their combined poor judgement.
Spurs is just being spursy and Ange is just stubborn. The main problem with Spurs is Levy as Conte quite rightly nailed it on the head that Spurs are content with what their positions are with no ambition of silverware
In my opinion, the team's problem is the changes of coaches, each one brings players who fit his style of play, with the result that the players do not fit together, for example, Kulusevski does not give the ball but wants to carry it. Levi must stay with one coach for several years, the team must be built from scratch, patience from the fans is needed, support for the self-confidence of the players and the coach, the results will come after a few years, not immediately. Sir Alex did not build United in 3 or 4 years, it took him time, but he also endured for a long time. I don't know if Anji is this coach, although I would like it to be him. I like his football and the way he talks and thinks.
I think the real turning point for Ange and his relationship with the Spurs fans was the defeat to City at home, where the fans wanted to lose the game to prevent Arsenal winning the league and Ange realised exactly what kind of club he was managing!
Bullshit, we've been rubbish for 14 months under this manager now, we've got 30 points out of our last 26 Premier League matches, we are in relegation battling from. We took a punt on him and he turned out to be rubbish, sack him and get a new manager in, simple!
True there were several hundred Spurs fans out of over 60,000 at the game. I'm a season ticket holder in the North stand. I could not hear anyone there indicating what you wrote. But in he distance there were shouts. As a sound engineer I can judge how many. Remember Arsenal lost the title form losing to Aston Villa home & away. This also prevented spurs getting in the top 4. However I do feel sorry for the Arsenal manager when they are losing at home by a margin. The fans are out the door in a flash. Unlike Spurs. even when they were losing recently to Liverpool, most remained to the end.
Ange is dealing with an extremely rough circumstance. The problem at Tottenham is higher up. How many managers have they had in the past 4 years? The problem is Levy
Levy won’t sack Ange yet. Because if he does he’ll have to spend money in January. Levy is the problem. When Craig says “they”, don’t label us with the same brush. I know, no manager can save us with levy at the realm.
The player from leeds playing center back was a midfielder there not a fullback. Its also not just their two best centerbacks missing, it's almost all their defense.
What are you arguing for? 10 years to prove they aren't good enough? A year and a half with no progress is a long time. Did it take Maresca 10 years? There should be improvements.
The fact is, we thought the same way around this time last year when all the starters were out. When those starters returned, they were just as poor, and even with a fully fit squad, we delivered the same results. Look at the performances from January of last season up to November, when the injuries started piling up. Please stop avoiding responsibility for the injuries and make an accurate judgment.
As a Spurs fan look at our record with managers under Levy 25 years in charge and 19 managers, only 2 have lasted more than 3 years Poch and Harry with 9 years between them. That means the other 17 average out at 10 months each, the only consistent is Levy!
@@russellward4624They will improve after a full/continuous season of playing the way Ange wants them to. If you think bringing in another manager at this point will somehow improve our fortunes, you are delusional and haven't been paying attention for the last 10+ years
I think the issue is that he doesn't adapt at all. If you have inexperienced defenders, then set up a little differently. Don't have so many players committed forward and live your self open when possession is lost. Plus this style of intense football will almost always cause lots of injury.
If Ange set up defensible, Spurs don't have defence so it won't stand for too long and will concede goals, the Wolves if you care to notice played similar style of football and no have problem on injuries like Spurs, plus a proper premier league professional player must stand physically and mentally, why well is all they do and therefore you like to think, look after themself in their private life, it comes with the territory,
@Oscar-dy4ic I'm not saying he should change his system radically, but just have a player or two as insulation in midfield following the play, so that when they lose possession the inexperienced defenders don't find themselves in 1 vs 1. And no, I'm not saying he should be sacked, far from it. He's got a great attack and he's dealing with a lot of injuries.

This just shows the agenda against United. Last season when Ten Hag had Martinez, Varane, and Shaw out nearly all year, they slaughtered him and said he’s not good enough but a year later in Ange’s second year when they’re not performing well, we should all cut him some slack? I’m not saying Ange should be fired bc I think he’s a good manager but keep the same energy
Couldn’t agree more Craig! I’ve had to unsubscribe from literally every Spurs channel I’ve followed for years because it’s exhausting to see the amnesia at work….Holding Ange solely responsible for our current place in the table can only be described as short-sighted….
Nobody is holding him exclusively responsible. The problem is Levy isn't going anywhere. That's not an option. So just continue with this pathetic performance in perputiuity? You change what you can change.
Craig brought up Spurs having lots of injuries. And I take that on board because the reality is, whether people accept it or not, the quality of a team decreases as more and more starters get injured. But the problem is, as a pundit, you can’t selectively apply the injury angle to one team but then overlook it with others. I never heard Craig last year bring up the fact United or Chelsea were destroyed by injuries. But he always brought it up with Newcastle. When the reality was those three sides were the most injured teams in the entire Premier League. And they finished the year all within 3 points of each other as a result. Craig has a soft spot for Ange but it’s clouded his analysis of Spurs too much. And the problem I have is when pundits don’t apply the same logic to similar situations with teams.
Craig might not have given United a pass but United are not Spurs. And INEOS did give ETH a pass and that proved to be the stupidest decision so far. Chelsea's injuries are nothing like Spurs' now. So I'm not sure why you got to take everything so personally? 😂😂
United didn't have this many players out. Look at what happened to Newcastle last season. They struggled for a lot of last season because if their injury list. It's one thing losing 5 or 6 players but to lose 10 or 11 forst team players is madness
@AsianGentleman Except Spurs have massive amounts of money that Levy refuses to use. Which drives Spurs fans nuts because Spurs are a very financially rich club. United, by contrast, are literally billions in debt and are currently undergoing extreme cost cutting measures as a result. Chelsea’s injuries last year were actually worse than Spurs are now. And I don’t take anything personally on here. It’s just people yapping about football. But what I don’t respect is when people like you put out false information with bravado.
@baileyjones5744 Except United did have virtually their entire first team squad out last season at certain parts of the year. The likes of Shaw, Martínez, Varane, Maguire, Lindelof, Mount, Martial, Casemiro, Mainoo, Amad, Malacia, etc missed significant portions of last season. At one point Casemiro and Evans had to play center back together in 3-4 games consecutively because United literally were missing 5 center backs through injury at the same time.
@@baileyjones5744United were playing CMs in the back, there was no LB, midfielders were injured, and the main striker was mostly injured... what are you talking about? P.S. that is just some off the top of my head, oh yeah, RB was an issue to AWB was mostly injured as well.
Craig even with the defenders, they are too easy to play against and way too open. Look at their form since the first 10 games of last season, they have been awful!
X talk is not representative of Tottenham fandom in whole. They have world beater expectations when we have a Brighton-level lineup. We have injuries. Do not sack postecoglou.
Craig is ignoring this reality below. Ange: 57 Premier League matches, 27 wins, 21 losses, 9 draws, 90 points from 171 points, 1.58 points per match with Tottenham Conte: 56 Premier League matches, 32 wins, 15 losses, 9 draws, 105 points from 168 points, 1.88 points per match with Tottenham Spurs won 26 points from their first 30 under Ange. Since then and over the past 14 months, Spurs have won 64 points from 141 in the Premier League. The reality is Ange’s points won over the past 14 months have been very mediocre to poor. And he’s performed worse than Conte, who was much maligned by both the press and Spurs
and your ignoring that none of that matters. conte had a guy called harry kane. heard of him? i mean what are even saying? that they should fire ange and hire conte again? or fire ange and hire who? what is it your even suggesting?
How much money did he spend? Also, ETH didn't have those Injuries this season. Don't compare. ETH had enough chances. Believe me I so wish he was still your manager 😂
I feel like Ange would save his job if he stopped running a 4-3-3 (really a 4-1-2-3) and ran a 4-2-1-3. The 2 CDMs in front of the CBs would help shield the goal on the counterattack by taking up the space that the wingbacks move out of in the attacking phase, slowing down the counterattack and allowing the CAM and wingers to win the ball back against that high line. This would also allow for more passing options when passing out from the back during build-up that he demands.
7 win in 19 in the prem. 3 in 13 in all comps. Our last home win in the league was Villa! The club has pervasive issues throughout but this isn’t good enough. Since the first 10 games last season it’s been quite poor but with some flashy spots sprinkled in
ETH finished third his first season and won two trophy’s which is double what Post has won and espn still turned on him. Shows you how hypocritical these pundits are.
I understand the frustration from our fellow spurs fans, I'm frustrated too, but, we don't have a squad at the moment. We are down to literal school boys! Ange should "resign" immediately and join a rival club, leaving the delusional Tottenham fans to face their harsh reality. This pathetic organization is a shadow of its pretenses, and Ange deserves far better than to waste his talent here. Tottenham will soon regret not respecting him; they'll struggle to find a decent manager again. History shows that coaches like Conte and Mourinho have left in disdain, proving the problem runs deep. The fan base is trapped in a fantasy, and it’s clear that Tottenham has never been a great club. They flirt with success but always choke when it matters. Ange must see that he’s in a toxic environment that will ruin his career. Even Cristian Romero has pledged to leave with him, highlighting the lack of confidence in the club’s direction. Craig is missing the point, their issue isn’t with the dropped points. It’s with Ange’s refusal to tighten things up knowing that he has half his team out. He can’t keep trying to orange juice from lemons and Ange is trying to do that.
I think that a player like Bissouma should be moved to CB to partner with Dragusin for the meantime. I think that they can cope in midfield without Bissouma while they wait for their injured players to recover fully and return. That's some of the tweaks you expect a Manager to make in times as this.

Well said Craig. Add to that the manager must (not should) be given three seasons before a decision is made regarding keeping or discharging him. The seasons must be free of such a number of injuries. Of course this situation is on Levy's miserly conduct over the years.
Where was this sympathy for ETH last season when he had to play Casemiro and Evans as his cb pairing? United were notorious for not having a lb for all of last season.
@@horatiohornblower5626 but that's the point, right? When it's Newcastle, Brighton, Spurs there's additional context. When it United, City, Chelsea they're losing games and managers need to get sacked.

Wolves are much improved since Perreira stepped in, 7 pts out of 9. They beat 'mighty' Man U prior to this Spurs draw so that tells you... something I guess. Just want to point out what an excellent young talent this Archie lad is, fullback/wingback that can play CB better than all his pro career a center half like Dragusin. Very impressive talent and it's Ange that signed him. Similar with Bergval but not as impressive perhaps. Most of Ange's signings have been very good for this club and he's got them in Europe. Robo and Craig are right, if Spurs org are sane they will let Big Ange finish the season before they decide whether to replace him. Injuries have hit Spurs harder than any other team so far this season and blaming the manager for 11th in table after half season is not quite right. He might still win that trophy yet, beat City, maybe he can pull off a miracle against the reds too in Carabao, or win Europa and get into CL next season that way. Won't ever know if you sack too soon...
Craig generally correct but every club calls for manager out when things sour, most spurs fan want ange in. If Postecoglou gets the sack then we deserve to never win a trophy ever again. The number of "fans" begging to have Ryan Mason back in charge is unfathomable.

Agree with craig...it is what it is with injuries, except it..Things will change come February
If Ange set up defensible, Spurs don't have defence so it won't stand for too long and will concede goals, the Wolves if you care to notice played similar style of football and no have problem on injuries like Spurs, plus a proper premier league professional player must stand physically and mentally, why well is all they do and therefore you like to think, look after themself in their private life, it comes with the territory,
FFS, he got half the team injured, stop with the adapt theory. Tottenham have won nothing, and letting Ange go this early will be a big mistake.
@Oscar-dy4ic I'm not saying he should change his system radically, but just have a player or two as insulation in midfield following the play, so that when they lose possession the inexperienced defenders don't find themselves in 1 vs 1.

Except Spurs have massive amounts of money that Levy refuses to use. Which drives Spurs fans nuts because Spurs are a very financially rich club. Except United did have virtually their entire first team squad out last season at certain parts of the year.

Wolves are much improved since Perreira stepped in, 7 pts out of 9. They beat 'mighty' Man U prior to this Spurs draw so that tells you... something I guess.
