    Not my best position play, but I managed to get through these racks with some luck and some shot making. Still an opportunity for some of you guys to learn something. Enjoy.

    My league team captain has started working with us (mostly me) on cue-ball control by playing a modified version of Saratoga. We play it the normal way, except we use all 15 balls, not 13. Same general idea; after the break, choose whether you want solids or stripes by pocketing a ball, but after that pocket, every shot has to be geared toward either making the lowest of your set of balls or hitting it and playing defense. Playing rotation that way forces me to focus on whether offense or defense is a better option every single time I get ready to shoot a ball, and it also forces me to focus on cue ball control; not just making the shot I'm shooting, but where I'm leaving the cue ball for the next shot. It has really helped my standard 8-ball game a lot.

    Yep, strategy and planning matter… shot making and pacing aside it’s the most important game-changer I’ve learned from Brian. Do the zoom thing.

    Would like to know your comments on que ball position on the break.

    • @FXBilliards
      @FXBilliards  3 месяца назад

      It is really a matter of personal preference, but I like the break from the rail in 9-ball with the cb about one balls with from the rail.

      It’s the best rack in the business there’s a predator aero rack. You can get it a predatorcues.com and I don’t get any kind of commission when you buy it from them. But thanks buddy. There may be a link in the description of the video.

    nice video , in Japan i notice they have all ball random racking , and when watching the Woman Pool i notice it random but 2 ball on bottom like you have it , i like the Japanese random every rack is random

    • @FXBilliards
      @FXBilliards  3 месяца назад

      The problem is if it’s random in the rack a good player can send the two ball down table with the one ball at will, just by breaking from what side or the other. In 9-ball the rack is so predictable there really is no random rack. That’s where the rule came from of putting the two ball in the back- it’s the least predictable spot.

    What exactly is meant by rotation games, in billiards?

    • @FXBilliards
      @FXBilliards  3 месяца назад

      Rotation means to shoot balls in order numerically. 1-2-3 etc.

    Some of that wasn't the best position play. However, being a 'shot maker' being able to pocket more difficult shots makes it not a problem.

    "Spoiler, the ghost does not win".
    MAYBE NOT WITH YOU!!! 🙂
    Even then, though, you can pick a case on video where you did win...just sayin;, No call outs, just a point out. Kidding aside, it is nice that you do the demos front to back, uncut.
    Just curious, do you have a Fargo rating? You look like you have a really good game. It wouldn't be bragging now, because I asked,
