Beaver Falls and Potters Branch Double Arch

Today my hiking partner was Jimmy Staffey. We went off trail to Beaver Falls in the southern end of Big South Fork. From there , we drove to the trailhead of Potters Branch Double Arch. Lastly, we finished the day driving down to Zenith, an old railroad town.

I’ve never seen Beaver Falls flowing that good or with the emerald green color. That’s just beautiful. Potter’s Branch Double Arch is one I’ve never seen. It’s very nice! Prowling around those old railroad town remains is always cool. Like you, it’s been a long time since I was at Zenith. I didn’t look around much either. Going to have to get back down there sometime.

Now that sure was a pretty special area to explore. Thought I'd see you take a nice plunge in the pool at the bottom of those falls! lol That is quite the arch indeed. Always wonder on structures like that as to how long will they last. Awesome!!

A little chilly for swimming 😀. Yep eventually the arches will erode and collapse.

Beautiful pool underneath Beaver Falls. I'm gonna have to go check that one out one day. Very pretty! Pretty cool little arch too

Yep a lot of limestone gives the pool a unique color.

Nice falls and the overlook was very pretty,the arch looked cool. Nice day y'all had!
