I found your RUclips channel by accident a few weeks ago and I'm glad that I did! I have had a blast watching Alina pilot her ultralight and all the adventures she has taken. Looking forward to many more.
Great Job William and Alina. Thank you for sharing. It was a pleasure to see you at Osh and filming your flying skills at the Ultralight field. Best Regards, Wayne Whitley
I meet you and you daughter at airventure . I was the Cowboy at the B-25 (Devil Dog). Was so glad I meet y’all. I’m subscribed to your channel now. Keep up the good work Alina.
I noticed too that you are looking over your glasses, that’s a distraction you don’t need. Great flying I hope you had a great time at Oshkosh. Safe travels
Awesome accomplishment but there needs to be a lot more situational awareness while flying. There was no looking around for other aircraft especially at such a busy event .There's a lot more to flying than taking off ,flying and landing. Harsh words but it could save your life. Again...Great accomplishment great to see youth enjoying Aviation ! Enjoy and be safe .
Always been my dream to be a pilot but unfortunately things happen you can't control..but love to see others actually achieve the dream I could not..going into OSH is every aviation enthusiasts dream especially in your own plane..one day I hope be able to attend..btw..when she does enter air force I can tell most likely she will be a very skilled test pilot! She knows her machine very well👍
Somebody needs to help her with the correct location of her harness. In the event of an impact the current location of the lap belt could do serious damage.
Why can't Britain have the same approach to aviation? Bureaucracy. If it's not shrouded in secrecy and tied up in red tape the British government doesn't want to know.
Most young birds today fall from the nest and never learn to fly. For some the adventure begins when they realize that it’s better to soar with the eagle than hover with the raven.
At 6:05 she' sounds like she's singing in the shower. Lmao 🤣 People on the ground are like "Whaaaaaat......thaaaa......hell......is.....going on.....up there" 😂 Good stuff
On the channel “Scott got Wings” on July 27th flying this same direction, at 11:07 during his take off you had just parked to the right of his head and had about 8 people around the Aerolite, pretty cool. It was titled “Ultralight pattern flying”. 😎👍✅
Das hat mich bei anderen Videos von Alina stets gewundert, dass das Mädchen ohne Windschutzbrille gestartet ist! Ja und danke, dass ich jetzt auch bei einer Punktlandung dabei sein durfte! 🤗
I love your videos. Someday I'd like to get an Ultralight.. I wish we could hear you talk. It would be interesting to hear communications. Thanks for posting. 🤠
Having just come across Alaina, i am impressed. There have been comments about safety, belts being one. The other is the use of her cell phone while flying. See if you can connect your phone via bluetooth to the head set for hands free flying.
Just came across your videos today. What a girl! I worry about your sun glasses though. If they come off and go through the prop they can break it! Put a string on them for safety. Some years ago a young pilot flying a weight shift, like mine, here in Britain without a helmet or ear defenders had his glasses come off and break the prop which ripped the wing fabric on one side causing an uncontrollable spiral into a shallow lake. He was knocked unconscious and sadly drowned. Even just an engine out can be life threatening! Safe landings.
I’ve been totally amazed by this young lady. I just ordered my Aerolite EV 103. Is it possible to list the accessories you have on this? What year is this one? I also like the ptt button on the yoke…great idea. Love the videos.
The nav is a Garmin 196. Any Garmin handheld would do. I just know the 196 is built like a truck and goes and goes. There are 2 com setups. The one you see in the video is a Yaesu 550 with a remote mounted antenna connected to a pilot communication Carbon A1 ANR Headset. It a inexpensive, very light ANR headset with blutooth that I have connected to her phone for long range com. For local flying/training she uses a yaesu ft-270 connected to a Icaro Solar X helmet with deluxe coms. The ft-270's are better (clearer/better range) but aren't airband so the 550 is needed for cross country flying.
Awesome achievement, you must be justifiably proud of your determination and skill already ! - many others can only dream, regardless of age. Best wishes for a successful future air-force career! sidenote/concern: your lap belt must me low over the hips, or it will effectively kill you.
@@williamh.scottv438 thanks, I have a down payment on same vehicle, same engine. I'm transitioning from a flight design ctsw 500 hrs. Besides less mass and less energy on landing what's been your son's most common difference between aerolite and Cessna?
The Cessna and aerolite are similar in their controls. The aerolite weighs about 1/4 of a Cessna 150 so it's much more susceptible to Gusty conditions. The aerolite is able to fly much slower than the Cessna and there is more visibility. The Cessna is built to certified standards. The aerolite is not and thus requires more frequent maintenance.

I think it was stated in another video clip that she was looking at the airspeed indicator (I'm guessing a Hall Brothers "Wind Meter" ). It's a very simple and reliable device: just a little orange/red disc floating in a plastic tube that looks like a syringe; it's probably difficult to see with the glasses on with the sun in her face.

Alina, you have the self-confidence to become a pilot. Balance confidence with humility.

Congrats! Thanks for sharing your journey.
There needs to be more 14-year-olds flying. Maybe then the FAA would loosen up about landing at gas stations and rest stops along the highway. 🤠
The faa doesn't have much to say about landing at gas stations. I think the local 5-0 might have a problem with it.
Not fact.
