Well at first i am sure you havent watched the video complete, when you when something like this...I also want to say(and i dont want to speak for alex)that you should write a commenat with constructive critic...
I think I`m right here, you`ve attempted to build one MAYBE two model kits and because you sucked at it, you`re spreading the love now here on RUclips?... maybe try it again and do it with a smile, like Alex says? otherwise just keep your comments to yourself...
@@doncsicso81 I agree I think the man's doing an outstanding job I built ship replica since I was a child and I build my from scratch off Navy Prince and I'm telling you the guy's a master
Don't apologize for the length of the vid... it was great ! I'm 70 yrs old and learn something new every time I watch one of your vids ! Keep up the good work.
You're right Sir! I am 56 y/o and I do learn a lot from this young fellow!! i love to learn, and I do not care who teaches me. ( Specially if it is fremm... ) I only lament that he is one of the very few of this country!!! But this fellow is awsome!!
Excellent. Damn good job on this pretty ship. I just bought this one about 1 month ago. I am going to get the wood one that Artesania has out and then I am going to build both and display them together. I plan on doing that on all the ships I can. Build one in plastic and one in wood. You apologize to much. You have nothing to apologize for. You build damn nice ships and I learned from this one also. You will have douch bags that complain and whine about stuff on your videos but the funny thing is they probably have never built anything. The first model ship I got was the Constitution when I was 8 yrs old and I still build that one today 52 yrs later. You have done that ship proud and I wish I can get as good as you. Your detail is sweet. Toothpicks, and drawing pencils along with paint pens. So sweet this model is. Thank you for building it and putting her on a video.
I really enjoyed the video on The Vasa I definitely watch all the others you have. As for the people who think plastic as junk , I build both and plastic can be equally expensive and challenging. It’s boils down to what you like yourself and doesn’t meaning to anyone else except for the one building the ships plastic or wood, if it makes them feel good and and happiness comes from it , why the Hell not ! I got back into modeling because I loved how it felt when the ship was completed and didn’t have to forced to watch it be destroyed by my brother or father who probably put him up to it to begin with.
I've always been a fan of modeling I can't even tell you how much I love your posts. I think you are doing great things. Keep up the awesome work. I will be sure to keep watching 👀
Im from Sweden and has seen the Wasa at least 40 times :) GREAT build! Wonderful paintjob! Iy is obvious you had fun with this one :) Building a ship model is hard work and takes time, but in the end it is VERY rewarding I would say. I build mainly ships myself for that reason. The Wasa was from the beginning ment to have only one gun deck, but the king changed his mind when the ship was already started. He needed a bigger ship for his war with Germany. This meant that one gun deck was added to a hull only meant for ONE gundeck. You can imagine the rest... It is nowadays calculated that if she had been only about 1,5 feet wider (beam) there would have been no problems... Thanks for what you do for this hobby! :)
I just researched my kit and found that it is an original 1971 when the company retooled to mold it, a series 9. I'm really excited to start, but the painting looks to be the most involved detailing ever!
Thanks for an excellent build! I am Swedish and have been to museum several times to watch the real ship. Very well done. Enjoyed every minute. Greetings from Sweden! 🙏👍
Your sailing ship builds have inspired me to have a go building them. I own Airfix's 1/180 HMS Victory, and being a New Zealander, I also own Airfix's Endeavour. I intend to build Endeavour first since it is the smaller, simpler ship out of the 2 (plus the kit comes with a ratline jig). It's a bit of a shame Airfix didn't produce all of their sailing ships in the same scale though!
HOOOLLY SHIP. OK, I am 53 and I've been building models since I was around 6 years old (with not so much as a single snap-tite kit). Not only have I seen some of the most impressive models around (1/72 USS Nimitz complete with all lighting and full complement of aircraft at Adm. Nimitz Museum in TX, to name just one) and others, and have turned out some decent ones, myself, never in my life have I seen something as flat out GORGEOUS as this! You go well beyond anything I've ever done or seen and I have learned SO MUCH from you that it's scary! This is nothing short of a work of master craftsmanship and artistry. Subscribed, BTW.
Back in the days sailors ate and what goes in must come out so I would suggest a litttle superdetailing that will add that 'little' extra! Around the thick spars they made a rope girdle ,a rope ladder together with a bucket so when you have to do it climb down Strap yourself between the ropes and away it goes!! Nice addition to any model !!!
Hi Alex. I truly love your work and the detail on this model is awsome. I have built sailing ships for most of my adult life, a long time believe me, so I feel justified in pointing out one detail. The standing rigging, basically that which holds the mast up and isn't designed to move much is black. That's because it is covered in tar to proect it. The running rigging, that which controls the positioning of the sails and therefore has to run freely through the various blocks is natural in colour.
I enjoyed watching you build this on Facebook with your still photos posts, but now seeing the video, I’m even more impressed Alex. It is a fine model and you must be very proud of what you have accomplished.
I've been to the Vasamuseum in march. I't is a very impressive Ship. I've been to Stockholm because of a concert from The Swedish Pirate Armada. Those are the Bands Ye Banished Privateers, Pat Razket and Stormfrun. Because of that event i've been in the museum in my Pirate clothings together with a bunch of around 20 of my fellow Pirates.
Today (28/9/20).I have ordered this model, and I'm looking forward to built it. Ofcorse it will never be as good as yours, . my models being all hand painted . It will keep me busy for a few weeks. Gosto de todos os seus videos. Tenha cuidado com os bad guys out there!
Alex you really have out done yourself on this kit. It is incredibly beautiful you are a true master of this hobby thank you for anther enjoyable watch.
Wow!! That detail work just goes on and on and on......fantastic job though. I especially like how the wood sides of the hull turned out. That AK wood wash sure did the trick on the deck also. I recently purchased the AK Old and Weathered Wood Vol 1 and Vol 2 for the Heller Chebec Project I am starting. I am looking forward to seeing how they work for me. Also I have been considering which gold to use and I think I’ll give that Vallejo gold a shot. I’ve used their paint in the past and I’ve always liked how well they cover and the ease of use. This is the third time I’ve watched this series and I am impressed every time. I just wish this model was available. I’ve searched everywhere and it’s on back order all over the globe. I hope they continue to sell the kit.
one of the most beautiful Revell models ever .... but half a year after I finished it, it fell from the closet and was totally destroyed ...... I just wanted to cry !!!
Very fascinating to watch! I did watch the whole video, but unfortunately not all in one sitting. Silly stuff like work and sleep forced me to watch it in thirds. Dont.let youtube make you think we don't watch all of a particular video. Most of the time I can, and others I can't, even short ones can get interrupted.
You really like old battleships, me too! And you did a good job building this vasa⛵️ Your movies are really inspiring! Revell kits are from my country, Sende you nice greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Ah you’re from Portugal! Vasco da Gama was a famous sailor ⛵️and Portuguese are big sailing nation, (I hope my english is not too bad😊) Maybe someday I will travel to Portugal
Wow! That hour sure went by quickly! I wasn't sure I'd watch it in one sitting, but I did and it was worth it. :) I've had an "itch" to build a sailing ship but I have too many projects going on right now so that itch is going to have to wait to be scratched. I really enjoyed this video and your building and painting was wonderful. Thanks for another really fine video.
Just one hour? It seemed short hahaha. I enjoyed it from beginning to end, seeing how you built this beautiful boat, your attention to detail is spectacular, congratulations! and that come more long videos! Hahaha. Thank you very much for sharing your skills. Greetings from Mendoza - Argentina

Fantastic looking ship very well done Alex and a great video thank you, and 1 hour is not to much for me, love to watch how you do the different stuff. Take care :-)
Love your videos and dedication Alex, don't listen to the comment about plastic kits as it is the Love and skill that brings a ship to life, not the material. Can you say how you made those sails so perfect, catching the wind... wonderful! As an aid, I learned from a colleague to stop me fluffing (furry thread) by using bees wax to rub over the thread. Just a thought. P.S. you got me using a toothpick too
Great to see the build from beginning 'til end (even though I fast forwarded a minute here and there!) ;) A beautiful ship indeed and the rigging work has my full admiration.. :) When I saw the real ship up in Stockholm some 37 years ago or so, the colour had all gone from the wood after it spent so long in the water. What it looks like these days I do not know, maybe one day I get the opportunity to see it again. The preservation is constantly ongoing, even now, I believe. But yes, great build, impressive end result, well done! :)
Plastic junk. Real wood ships are the only good ship models.
Im only guessing here... I think you don't have many friends

Madre mía rizando el rizo, mejorando sobre lo mejor,no creo que yo llegué a tu nivel pero con tus vídeos se aprende mucho.
