5:12 light nighting
I was looking to see if anyone else noticed that xD
Hi Swiss! I live in Australia, in the NT, and there is a whole museum in Darwin about the RFDS. If you would like to learn about the history and how they do what they do, with a whole aircraft which you can enter. In the same museum, there is a whole section about the bombing of Darwin if you are interested in that. Also at 5:12, Light Nighting...
Fellow australasian. Greetings from NZ.
Yes I went there it’s very cool to see and at the end there is a rfds plane
OH YE IVE BN THERE IS SO GOOD
Fun fact: This beginning clip was me when I had to divert due to the runway being destroyed by a Spirit A320 landing.
Fr?
Wait actually?
No it was actually a Ryanair pilot in training. They don't wanna pay for slots in the US so they're using freeways/roads so they can expand to the states. Mr. O'Leary said in a Tweet yesterday.
No this is all just a joke. Yall so gullible. Idk anything bout that clip tbh.
Not surprised xd
These are great ways to escape from the demogorgon
5:12 "light nighting" nice
Another weird airport is Upington in South Africa. Even Aerosucre pilots should have no trouble taking off from there, it’s 15,000 ft. long, which is apparently what 747s need in summer at that altitude.
I'm the dev of these sceneries, glad to see you checking them out!
5:13 „does this have light nighting?”
Nooooice
We in Lithuania and Latvia got that type airstrip and last month USAF c130 landed in one of those.
In Uruguay, in the Route 9, Rocha department, we have 2km of a cute emergency landing runway.
During the last war, the Luftwaffe had to use parts of the Autobahn also for operating their remaining aircraft. This was late 1944 early 1945 I believe.
Sweden still operates military planes from its highways, Switzerland too so maybe Germany still has a contingency plan to use the Autobahn again for their military aircraft.

One of the main marketing points SAAB uses with the Gripen is that it can be combat ready on the side of a road and operate from said roads. The video is here on youtube
@@30769s Not just the Gripen.
The Viggen could also use roads.
Don't know about the Draken though.
Haha that second landing where u said these videos are mostly from America, that video is right near my house 😆
If you want to take a trip to drive on a runway, go to Floyd Bennett Field in NYC. It was the first municipal airport in New York, and it would be cool for you to explore an early airport. Furthermore, it is a park and you can drive around freely!
"There we go we now have more clients" was the funniest part
Hi swiss! if you didn't saw my recent comment then i have to do it again. You should do a video of Reviewing RFS's 1.6.1 update. i appreciate your hard work and i hope you create more content about mobile flight simulators! (I'm not hating on any mobile flight simulator, every mobile flight simulator has their pros and cons. they focus on different things). i hope you see my comment swiss.
What's new?
So u gonna comment the same thing under every new vid
@@jemfinley absolutely
@@avnober3647 bro didn't i see u in discord
shut up
The airport does indeed have light nighting
Hi swiss! I bought the Fenix A320, and I see that there are a lot of witches, which are not necessary to fly the plane, but they are pushable. Like Ram air, manual engine start, ditching, etc. I would like to see a video from you, where you try out these buttons, what do they do? Do they anything at all?
you bought the fenix and you wonder if the switches are doing smth. Cmon now
I don't understand that you bought one In real life only I can dream of that. And if you want to have it like a private jet just hire a pilot it would be easier.
@@laurentbeaujour9528 I mean I don't know what to expect from them. I learned the startup procedures, simbrief planning, mcdu programming, etc, but I think there are more interesting things with this plane. On the other hand, it's always very funny to see swiss when he tries things, and surprises.
@@pmate95 well ok but just so you know, every switch has a purpose in the fenix.
Swiss!
Come to Australia!!
You may find transport a bit $$$ as there isn't Ryanair, and Qantas must navigate through the upside down gravity.
There is jetstar though. If you want 2 cancellations and a delay like I did yesterday
@@LittleJimmyR yeah JetStar had a 2 hour delay for me while we took virgin and there was no delay
In my region where I live (Western Kazakhstan, Mangistau) there are roads that are designed for cars and for aircraft, during military training operations, two fighters and one An-26 were able to land and take off there. The roads were specially made so that planes or helicopters could land in case of an emergency.
Have driven on one pf these roads in Queensland, its surreal & even slightly anxiety inducing driving on a "Runway" Hahaha.
4:13 I think Harry and Ron have been for a drive
Well I czech republic something like this also existed, it was a air force base right on the highway, now its only highway
Swiss: This is a new addon to the "new" simulator
Simulator: Being nearly 3 years old
Older than 3 years old bruh watch evolution of msfs
Light nighting 5:12. Good one swiss :D
5:13 "light nighting"
Fr
I use to drive over that strip of runway in the middle of the highway on my way out to leinster it's quite trippy to know you're driving on a runway
5:10 Light Nighting lmaoooooooooooo
I’m Australian and i had no idea these existed at all despite being a plane enthusiast. Thanks for letting me know, Swiss.
hi swiss im trying to get a yoke or a joystick but its taking some time so what do i do?
its so funny to see yaphank there because i live at a town off of the Sunrise Highway or County Road 39A and i drive through yaphank regularly.
Ah yes a Qantas 747-400 landing on a very *short* runway and the 747 needs 12,000 feet of runway and …. That’s barley enough runway
Hey Swiss! I love ur vids and this one is quality
Imagine gettin pulled over by police on a cessna.
There’s an island that I go camping on with my parents and there’s a road that run literally right at the edge of the runway! So there’s signs that say; watch for low flying aircraft!!the island is called Kelly’s island!
This'll make emergency landings more interesting
That is only common in the au outback not in NSW, QLD or VIC
Is it possible for a 737-200 to operate there with the gravel kit?
Having driven from a small town called Karratha to Sydney over 6 days, i probably drove over multiple of these without realising. The longest straight road in the southern hemisphere (they eyre highway) also houses one of these runways i believe.
cars reaching the airstrip: (Liscence plate ) Requesting drive through roadstrip
Bro that new music hits hard
5:55 Sir Pull over!
2:19 hahaha
Nobody:
Absolutely nobody:

RFDS is the biggest life saver in Australia
Please finally review the new RFS Update, you might like the reworked Cirrus Screens!
I dont think swiss is going too md11 001
Nah there isn’t Ryanair in Australia instead its Jetstar which operates the A320-200 and the 787
Ah yes correct. I got 2 cancelled flights and a delay on the same day.wow
@@LittleJimmyR unlucky hopefully u can get on another flight good luck ;)
I got on in the end
@@LittleJimmyR ahh ok thats good
Swiss there is a new payware a340 for x plane you should check it out
the funny thing is he didn’t put the flaps down on the final approach until the final minute in the Ryanair landing XDDD
A few months ago I went to Australia and traveled to all state and outback apart from Tasmania, as I was chilling looking around we traveled on one of the runways.
SWISS READ THIS COMMENT!!! You better be at the EAA from the 25 to the 31 In Oshkosh Wisconsin
Ive driven on a emergency runway at a European road.
You do know many people live in the outback of Australia? I don’t think you understand how Australia works, also, I can confirm that people do land on really random things here in Australia, because I have seen a RFDS landing in a park on a helicopter while I was walking in a park.
Farmers sometimes use roads as airports.
The strip's range from about 1200mtrs to about 2000mtrs in length
5:13 “light nighting”
rfds and use the roads in emegancyss if some one needs to get air lifter out off there
0:47 did any one see the sign that says Brook Haven like the roblox game
Notice how he says "good one" or "great one" or "that's just great to see". i think he should have merch saying those things. like Doug demuro with his quirks and features. or how ridiculous with the how good T-shirts.
Forgot the "Nothing to see here".
@@israelkeyzer9617 And "But that's another story".
@@bwc1976 It always happens to me when i try to list things and i forget half of them. but yeah that one too lol.
I drove on the first aussie road !! Good times ...
As a Australian I can confirm
The entire video I was begging Swiss 001 to just lower the vehicle density
Ryanair: we have the best landings passengers: ☠️
you should fly to Australia in REAL LIFE, best vlog
Yes.
Next video: A lake becomes a international airport
Alot of roads in sweden is ready to be converted in to a military airport in case of war, really clever if you ask me.
imagine landing the an990 there
fun fact the 747 is now extinct here in Australia
Nice video dude
German Autobahns can also be turned into run ways
why does msfs look different like more realestic graphics?
Hello I’m am I. The process of getting msfs and I’m wondering whether I should get it on steam or Microsoft store
0:48 did I just read Brookhaven?! Yessssss...I finally found the real Brookhaven.
Did you get a new microphone with stream donations? lol
As a victorian(Victoria is a state in Australia), i can neither confirm nor deny this is true
I'm pretty sure there aren't any in Victoria.
Rayan air be like: new destination set
The police car is British
Legend says he's still not back..
Bruh. India has more airstrips on highways that not only can land commercial planes. But also fighter jets and c-17s.😂
hello i m here for help you can make a video how drop bomb and looking bomb explode in microsoft flight simulator 2020
and respect and like
Didnt know this existed
hey swiss if you can can you please butter at Mackay qld 737-800

Why did they put British police in Australia? We all saw the video and saw NSW Highway patrol not British police.
NO NO NOOOO I MISSED THE LIVEEEEE

Hey mate! Ya should come down to Australia, have a couple a’ beersies and swim with sharks!
Imagine a whole plane brake checking your car

Mate it's probably for cost of saving money

I dare you to fly an A380 into the two airports in MSFS
Swiss can you do reacting to #swiss001landing again
Wow 😳
Scary Aussies. 🇦🇺 😩😶😬

As an Australian citizen I found this so funny to watch...
What joystick you use?
Wanna drive with a car on a runway? Go to Gibraltar...
