Max, when mounting things I found the easiest way is to measure your mounting surface and put a mark at half. Then mark what ever you are mounting in the middle too and line your marks up.
Looks great Maxx, when you mentioned the hood being so flimzy, it reminded me of when me and my girlfriend had a little too much to drink and we got up on my buddies 57 Ford hood and danced on it to the music that was playing and we didnt even put a dent on it, YES we did crazy things back then too but back then no one gave a shit about mileage because the gas was so cheap.... Modern day is great but give me the good ol days anytime LOL, rock on Maxx...
As a new horse owner I had to do some research on Horses and cold weather blankets. What I learned was that if you put the blanket on too much, it can actually reduce the amount of winter coat that the horse will grow in the winter. I love your content and just wanted to pass that along. There is a lot of controversy around the topic but we have learned that our horses winter coats grow much better without blankets.
If RED LIGHT THERAPY regenerates hair and skin cell growth, I could use a 1000 mega watt light just to get the hair back that I had back in high school. 😂 LOL
It's so neat how quickly solar panels are evolving, a few years ago the heat from the hood plus the sun would have trashed the charging rate, but those Arcadias seem to function regardless. Thanks for posting Max! Hope the family feels better soon!
Truck alternator charges when engine is on and hot, so solar efficiency is less or not important when engine is hot. This panel is for when engine isn’t running.
Dam you can hear the congestion in your chest. I had issues with that for years pre covid. I know your getting over being sick and hope you all feel better. Increasing my water intake and things like emergencyC type vitamin packets in your water should help but everyone is different. Good luck
Yeah, that is one solar panel. I will be mounting to the front of my hood. I’ve got two batteries, one on the front above the winch and then the truck battery that will be my fifth solar panel to my rig. 😝 anyway, I hope you are feeling better, everybody that I know who had got that Covid shot, over 50 of my friends They just get sicker and sicker with different things. I don’t think that shot. Did anybody good to be honest with you but that’s my opinion I never got the shot and I haven’t been sick for three years at all. Of course, being single I’m not really around any people anyway so get well buddy a great addition to the truck. Ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out
I have been using the Arcadia 4x4 solar kit on the hood of my Taco for a couple of years and it is awesome! I also rain another solar panel on my roof rack to charge my goal zero. I have run trips up to six days and kept every thing running pretty well.
These are great for vehicles that run fridges, diesel heaters, etc off the vehicle battery. I've had mine for nearly 2 years and it's one of my favorite additions. You'll really enjoy the added power while the truck sits. 👍
Get well Max & fam. That’s a interesting mod, first time I’ve seen that, pretty cool. I was thinking you could of ran the engine for a bit to heat the hood for a good “stick” with the 3m tape. 🤙🏼
Might have to get one for my 2013 tundra rock warrior, being black it will probably blend in with my hood pretty well! Love the videos and seeing the tundra come together!
That black membrane is probably to keep the moisture off your hood. Moisture will get in between and instead of it rusting out the hood, the membrane will keep the hood dry.
Timely Video! I am looking at getting one of these for my GX470 to charge my Ecoflow Delta Mini Battery that runs my fridge/all the things. Thanks for the video! Big fan
I actually need a solar panel like this. I'm a truck driver and I leave my personal vehicle at the yard for about a week. I have a 2013 tacoma. The reason I want a solar panel is so that I may be able to run my dash cam 24/7 Without having to drain my battery, atleast till i get back. My question is, do you think this solar panel can be used for that purpose too?
He let her go a few years ago. He didn’t have time to give attention she needed and his busy lifestyle made it hard to keep up. He made a video about it but may have taken it down.
That’s cool. Is there a link for the panel? I have a 2004 tacoma and a 2020 ram rebel I’d like to put one on at least one of the trucks. Do they make them for different trucks?
I don't really like the one for the 1st gen Taco. Not sure why it couldn't look more like the one for the 2nd gen, but they're all out of stock until February.
Thats a neat idea but at 90 watts for 450$. Thats a tough sell. Realistically thats panel is not going to power much of anything. Mostly because you cant aim it at the sun. Also its a little disappointing to not see you test it out and measure the watt output.

Proud to say that Cascadia is a Canadian company! Great company and good people.

I need one of those
That panel is the cleaniest install I have seen for solar…..really rad!!! Glad you are feeling better👊🏻👊🏻
Sorry you were sick speedy recovery bud !!!
We are in Mason County and we are kind of homesteading. I have 24 raised beds for gardening, but no animals yet.
Nice video, thanks for the info
Best Tundra build so far
Cool addition Maxx! I'd be cool to use something like that to keep a power station topped off.
I like the bumper without the brush guard.

That looks awesome! The truck is turning out really well! Simple and clean!

Nice to get some more max vids and glad to see the family making a good recovery!

super cool, your audio BUGGED out at the end
yeah that was a bummer. I have to cut the video short because it got a lot worse.

I have this same mod on my Tacoma. I have it hooked up to my second battery that runs my accessories like lights and stereo. It seems to work well.
Might have to get one for my 2013 tundra rock warrior, being black it will probably blend in with my hood pretty well! Love the videos and seeing the tundra come together!
looks cool, longevity might be a concern. wear and weather and such.
Maxx it looks really good on your truck.
Can you show a update on that panel in a couple weeks??? I'm interested in this
That's a sweet mod I might try one on my trailer winch and tilt trailer, both use the same battery which always seems to have a low charge on it

Do you plan on having a meet and greet sometime in the future?
hey max! how is the solar panel holding up after almost a year?
Man my wife love that red light stuff ware do you get one of them .
Panel came out nice. Me like.
No product links? Don't see a product yet for the 22 tundra.
What happened to the 2nd ditch light 😅
my 2010 4runner the hood shakes like that on the HWY too lol it must be a Toyota thing having paper thin sheet metal
Man I was just watching your falconry videos! What’s the update with Carol?!
He let her go a few years ago. He didn’t have time to give attention she needed and his busy lifestyle made it hard to keep up. He made a video about it but may have taken it down.
@@alabamafbfan1985 that's so sad but understandable at the same time. Thank you for the update!

Yeahhhh!!! YOTA boys🤘🏾
Twin turbo whats that about?
You should have been running the truck so it could have warmed up and it would have warm the hood a little bit to get the adhesive to stick better
I’m just afraid when i drive, bugs will get caught on the rims of it. I know it’s thin, but it’s thick enough to get dirty around the edges
Are you in south central oregon...like the Roseburg area?
i think he is in washington

If Toyota ever decides to pre-wire their trucks for power and radios they’d lock up the truck market for 50 years.
Lame.
