Heya everyone!
Been a while since the last new Infinite Eclipse track - sorry about that, I've been pretty busy nowadays (and, not gonna lie, quite not musically inspired). So, this track isn't something big or special or epic: it's a small track about a certain "item" that will appears in the "Infinite Eclipse: Origin" novels series!
Naegissa's m̶̼͖̌̓̏͂ú̴̺̩s̸͈̍î̸̡̺͉č̷̟̪̙̕ ̷̠̈́̓̚b̸͍̾̍ö̷̯̺̻́͂̅ẍ̷̺́̓̌ is... quite a mysterious and ancient thing. The horrifying look of it seems to share some of the traits of a being that Naegissa would refer to the "N̷͍̂͘î̸̦͘͜g̵͓̟̥̣̉͌͛̕h̸̛͙͓̭̍̾̕t̵̩̭̱̟͑̿m̷̼̈́a̷̤̘̦͍̅̆r̶̞̥̤͒͐̚e̷̪̳̬̟̿s̴̬̲͍̞̐ ̸̗̲͕̞͒͒͑̀D̸̡̟̅ȇ̴̢̳͇̃͋͛i̵̱͗̌ṫ̷̤͐ỵ̶̢͖͑͝".
When it plays its m̴̫̚e̴̛̞͇͜l̶͚̕͠͠o̶͚͍͖͑͆́̆d̵̳͆͘͘y̷̝̚, one can hear some very light ẃ̵̜͓̙h̸͍̒̊͊ͅi̵̜̲̤̗̒̒͠s̶͉̿̍̽͜͝p̸͓͈̦̊̈́̕e̶͔͗̾͌͌r̵̲̦̱̂š̸̨̬̜͖́͋. One can feel the cold embrace their body. One can see an e̵̫͖͂̈̍͠ẗ̶̜̟́h̵͚͌͗e̸̬̎r̷̤̺̱̜̋̓̔ę̷̪̙̐̌å̷͕͌̆̒l̷̰̰̠͛ ̷̺͋͝d̸̨̹̻͑̐a̶̮̹̍̊r̵͎̲̻͊k̴͍͎̀ ̶͔͚̖̲̅̋s̶͙̈́m̴̨̛̗̭̱̾̐̿ō̷̫͉k̵̤̯̀̈́e̸͍̬̭̐̈́̈͜ coming from it. One can see, from the corner of their eyes, some strange shadow lurking.
But one cannot remember its existence or anything related to it. They're only left with a deep, internal and constant fear, never knowing where it comes from.
"B̷̡̧͍̘͌̍̕l̷̟̮͛̽̉ä̷̢̯͍͈́͌̿c̸̟̎k̵̥̲̳͐͝͝ ̵̹̥̯̘̀̕M̷̨̢̼̑́͜ȉ̸͎͚̹̓s̷̝̬̥̐t̶̢̗̃̿̎̆ͅ" seems to be the name of that m̶̡͙̫̖̓ǔ̶͎̬̣̋͒̚ś̴͕i̵͖̿̕c̶͔̋͂͆ ̶̢͔̞̓͋͒b̶̡̖͂̑̂ͅǫ̷̨͑̃͋x̴͇̒̐ that is so dear and precious to Naegissa.
You might have obviously recognised the melody of it, as it is the same melody as the final part of "Praise Nerath", with the choirs!
Now, here are some news I'm able to share with y'all:
Regarding the Primordial Pantheon, the next theme should theoretically still be Virtus' theme, though I have to say that I have some difficulties to find inspiration nowadays (blank page syndrom, I guess?).
The next big "Infinite Eclipse: Prequel's Finale" track, named Heroes Shall Vanquish, should hopefully be released this year but I cannot guarantee it as I'm not the only one working on that track (there are some edit yet to make).
There's a track I plan to sing on, but I still have to have the lyrics (and, obviously, record the vocals, see if it fits) that will PROBABLY be sung from the pov of Big Mac, protecting Applebloom from her Molten sister
A theme/song about Ayzat (from Infinite Eclipse: Origin) is in the work
A metal cover of "Onward" is planned for early 2023

Regarding IE:Origin novels series, I almost finished the notes (in French) for the 5th chapter (out of 9). Starting chapter 6, bigger things and main events are happening so I assume I'll be more inspired and, eventually, quicker to write the notes. To explain again how it'll work, I first write all the notes in French, then I translate it in English, then I write all the lore/information needed for that first volume, then send that to a pro co-writter to write the final product (then there are more steps during that process but, overall, that's it).
In any case, hope you'll enjoy the track, even though it's a really short one!

@user-oq9gz1dy6n : I plan to sing with a kinda different voice this time, not the big growly voice I used to sing with years ago ahah (to give a rough idea, I'll try to do a style similar to Majorvoice, less good though as singing ain't really the thing I'm best at ahah xD)
This series has UNDENIABLY inspired me to do my own Alternate Universe of the world. With Twilight Sparkle and her friends, along with Cadence being the 7 Sins upon death and revival as Goddesses. And 7 others who are Virtues. So from the absolute bottom of my heart. Thank you for bringing this idea to life through wonderful music, characters, story ideas, everything.

It took me about 20 seconds before I recognized the "Praise Nerath" Choir melody, which fits so well, and the ominous whispering at the very end was just 😩👏🏻👏🏻 I can't wait to learn about the relationship between Naegissa and the Nightmare Deity, as well as the relationship between Naegissa and Nerath. 😁 Remember to not burn yourself out; I can wait however long I need to 👍🏻👍🏻

Anyone else thinking that if this were ever made into some sort of animated series, the prologue would just be a slow pan towards the music box, with this playing in the background? Maybe have a second version for Ayzat?
It's weirdly calming, almost makes me want close my eyes and sway back and forth peacefully
Small or not, the track evokes a sense of mystery, sending a chill up your spine as you listen yet drawing you in. The motif of Praise Nerath being in there also gives one just a tad bit of insight into just how *ancient* and *old* these entities truly are, that this has all happened before, and will likely happen again (which, of course, it does in the IE Prequel time period and continues into the main story). There's fear and yet captivation, which seems to be the intention behind it from what one can only assume is the Nightmare Entity, and given that Nerath's entire system of drawing one in is through fear, madness, nightmares, and finally subjugation, it makes sense to me why the theme has stayed as it has for so long. Subtlety is everything in this proverbial game of thrones between these higher entities. And I, for one, enjoy all of it.
Perhaps the whispering at the end is the Nightmare Deity speaking 👀👀
I love how it plays Praise Nerath- and I thought it couldn’t get any creepier… this truly would send shivers down my spine if I heard it out of nowhere.

I really love the vibe this music box song giving me i really enjoy stuff like this. it give me a lovely soft tune but it eerie to it as well with something dark involved around it.

*_Ouroboros again, two dragons (Alluding to Spike vs. Ember), and for real this time, the black eclipse on the music box. Whether someone's rigging the events that led to Aqasha and Nerath's "godhood" or it was all by the will of the universe, I'm eager to see how our man Jyc can paint the lore._*

This was so chilling. It sends a shudder down your spine and yet, it draws you in to Madness.
This track melody somehow magical but also mysterious like Naegissa too . I bet this music is somehow connect to all the event in Infinite Eclipse . I cant wait to see more about the novel and your music still make us surprise even when you say it not , Jyc

This is really good ambiance! I can totally see this being used in a game moments before a creepy reveal of a character thats been stalking you in a dark building. Was totally expecting to hear, "Boo!" Or something of the sorts at the end. Well done!

What sort of theme/atmosphere are you going for regarding Virtus?
Virtus, being the King of Heroes and at the origin of the dragons, would be something quite "military"/"epic", main instrument probably would be some brass (horn/tuba). I'll certainly inspire myself from TSFH but, honestly, I've been having trouble composing anything recently ^^"

While it won't cover anything that's happening in Prequel/Prequel's Finale, it'll entirely cover everything from the Ancient Time, 25.000 years ago, back when Alicorns were the only living race and how Aqasha and Nerath came to be a thing. :)

I think what's likely an unintended effect is I've heard Praise Nerath so many times that I swear I can HEAR the choir singing very very quietly in my head. As if I were starting to hear voices.

Well, this is a "special thing" very specific to Naegissa from IE:Origin - there will be a certain concept in the novels series put in place, regarding the magic all the alicorns had 25k years ago, but I'll say no more as that what that music box - "Black Mist" - is, is going to be introducted in the first volume of the novel!

Even if this track is from the past, I really love how intimate Nerath is and how you can miss Luna if you saw her once in your dreams. Both have this close to you energy. I wonder if Nerath plays with this nostalgic feeling to torment ex lunar soldiers. I think the same with Aqasha and Celestia but they have a inspire masses energy.

Yup, that's indeed my intention - as well as some songs for specific events. However, I'll probably start working on those after the first volume of the series is released
Music boxes playing music will never not be creepy.
I can see a character just being drawn in by the beautiful music. And eventually falling asleep while around the music box.. Only to be trapped in an endless nightmare as the whispers and madness begins to settle in... But by than, it's too late to remedy your mistake.
