honestly, on the second generation, Uniden phone, I am not happy that they removed the charge light on the base and cradles and put it on the handset it is confusing when you have a voice mail, messagw, and when it rings

what was the model of that panasonic phone. i think it is one of the last panasonic phones to have that classic ringer

That telephone is a Panasonic KX-TG4223B.. The classic ringer is only on the base--the handset uses a very abstract selection of ringtones that I don't particularly care for.. That ringer has survived on the bases up until now as far as I know it,, it's only the handsets that are getting new ones..
