The great Pan Man Pat (Pat McNeilly) is the bandleader, a genuinely great steel drum player and calypso singer who worked hard to popularize Caribbean music in Canada, and is still doing so today.
I saw it coming from a mile away that that last song that started differently was gonna turn into copacobana (I’m sorry I don’t know how to spell it) but it still made me laugh so hard
Yep, it's the "running joke" part of it that makes it great. We've seen them many times before, we KNOW what the punch line is... Yet we still find it awesome! LOL
Was it just me or did they used to also have this running gag with the audience members? It seemed to me that no matter what, the audience members all had the same jobs, one of them was "phone company" but I don't remember the others. Anyone else remember that?
When he's not performing outrageous daredevil stunts which often go disastrously awry and result in the appearance of grievous bodily injury, he'll perform the role of straight man. :)

If the Old Rope String Band's performances weren't inspired by this brilliant situation comedy, I don't know what did 😅😅 Wish they made comedies like this nowadays :D
The steel pan originated in Trinidad and Tobago and was made out of the steel drum. I'm guessing they are from Trinidad and Tobago from both their accent and the national colours of the country red, white and black.
Two for two, @@lindyrouse3274! "Pan Man Pat" McNeilly is a Canadian musician responsible for starting up a Calypso scene here, and he is of Trinidadian descent.
Steelpans is a musical instrument originating from Trinidad and Tobago. Steel pan musicians are called pannists. It's the only acoustic instrument INVENTED in the 20th century
So idk why this is even on TV at all even though it's 330am. Compelled me to type into Google super Dave marching band Ra.cist. And it pulled up the right video .. Does anyone else see it?

Cool 😁 fun fact he's actually a Trini and he knows plenty marches 🤣
All I'd want to hear him play is copacabana lol
Thanks … we have steel pan a plenty where I live. Come on down, US Virgin Islands, no passport needed if from the USA.🌴📌
Farrakhan!!! 👾🤣🤣🤣
He was our Steel Pan teacher at N.A.C.I. ( North Albion High school) The best! ❤
Best part is how the band will agree with ANYTHING the crowd says. Such simple but brilliant comedy lol
You shall be missed Bob! May your supply of genuine Saskatchewan seal-skin bindings never run short!
HIS CASKET IS LINED WITH IT!

Thank you Super Dave for all the laughs. I love watching all these skits all these years later. RIP Bob Einstein.
Super Dave's comedy is so much more than his stunts going wrong. He's so good at the subtle reactions.
“I admire someone who admits they don’t know what they’re doing” such a funny line
Bob Einstein was the best straight man in the business.
"We know plenty marches!"
LOL
super trolls
So dumb and so great. Rest in peace, Bob.
“A wheel or a ball”
“Well what was it?”
“A ball wheel”
One of his best skits
RIP Super Dave.
“Every time my band is not here, you guys show up”! 🤣🤣🤣
“You wanna guess what that was”
“I’m gonna guess a wheel or a ball?”

No one suffered more for the crafts than the “ SUPER ONE”.
we specialize in formations!
Love it when Dave gets annoyed. 🤣
They need to make some SD hats - I need one!!
Those guys always show up when when a certain band is a no show, plus the leader always answer the same thing when super Dave ask them
This is comedy gold.
The ish-eating grin the band leader gives after "we know plenty marches" is almost as funny as Super's disgusted stare.
Yep, it's the "running joke" part of it that makes it great. We've seen them many times before, we KNOW what the punch line is... Yet we still find it awesome! LOL
Oh man! I just burst out laughing. I haven't seen this gig before!

Ball-wheel has become one of favourite sayings 😁
What??? Dave survived that without a scratch. I was waiting for a real grand finale 😅
When he's not performing outrageous daredevil stunts which often go disastrously awry and result in the appearance of grievous bodily injury, he'll perform the role of straight man. :)
This is really funny LOL kind .
Super Dave suffers through , the band should be playing at a cruise ship dock.
I LOVE this episode!
Too many commercials.
R.I.P. DAVE EINSTEIN. Thanks for the laughs! 😁

I bet they play Copacabana during parades on Mardi gras so it is a march!
RIP Super Dave. BTW were the audience members who participated were in on the skit or were they randomly picked?
They were in on it. It was staged.
