with the right preparation, nothing is ruined!
I have been using this and other boats at sea for years, no problem ...
actually I use rc boats in the summer at the sea
look you made me want to do a video tutorial on how to use electrics in salt water
anyway
immediately after use, rinsing in fresh water already does a lot

Salt water will mess up the bottom of it after a wile

No! Just wash it with fresh water just after the use (even the motor)
Is 3 years that I use this boat every summer at the sea
No problem
I have also some other rc boats and i use them all in salt water

Con le giuste precauzioni no, ad esempio silicone resistente alle alte temperature e grasso marino.
A breve faccio uscire un tutorial, che ho giá girato, su come impermeabilizzare l'elettronica e i servi a prova di tempo e sale!
Dopo averla usata la pulisci con acqua dolce, soffia un pò di aria compressa (quella delle bombolette dei pc) nel motore e gli altri punti sensibili così facendo non restano residui e fermi all'istante l'ossidazione
