Im a killers fan since grade school, and battle born is my fav, its freakin epic. And I couldn't stress enough how excited I am for the next record, another great set of songs for sure.
Adolfo Vazquez I hope so. FYI, despite the constant talk of new material in the works, in a few months it will be five years since their last studio album.
the first 2 albums where great!....... everything after those two where just..........meh. ......... they need to go back to there indie pop rock roots and do some fan service
dude...it's not ignorant...it's simply my observation. Pull up a picture of him from the Sam's Town album and compare that to how he looks now... the cocaine reference was a joke dude....an ongoing Rick James gag from the Dave Chapelle show...it's not ignorance....dude.
The Killers should just bow out gracefully now before they lose what little relevancy they have. There is no way the killers can compete with bands today like Imagine Dragons, Muse, Walk The Moon, etc.
No ofense at all man, but, bow out? gracefully? little legacy? there is no way that The Killers can compete against Muse, Imagine Dragons, etc? Man, you don't know what you are saying. First The Killers have a bigger musical trajectory than Imagine Dragons and their albums are as good as Muse's. The Killers are one of the best bands that have come out in the 2000's, they've had a big musical trajectory and impact and they've made masterpiece albums!!! They've had a successful career as musicians. they've sold 25 million albums worldwide. And Brandon Flowers has released two successful solo albums, and you say The Killers should bow out? Come on... This is just their beginning. And I'm really excited about their next work n_n
Imagine dragons are okay at best, walk the moon will be a one hit wonder, and muse is by far the best of those three. The Killers have their own niche in the music world. Mr Brightside will be a timeless classic; it's being played to date. And to think that the song came out in 2004.
Battle Born: "As a whole it wasn't strong enough". No. IT SUCKED. It's a basic mainstream teenage failure. Hope they go back to the rock they once played, because they WERE really good.
How I dare? Like this: BB is not bad, it's aweful. It's a compilation of cliche melodies that could be TV commercial singles. It has like four songs that are fine (not even close to what The Killers have done in the past), the rest is just a nightmare. The first two songs are pretty good, but then, the nightmare begins. The Way It Was followed by Here With Me make it impossible to continue listening. Those can be by far the worst Killers songs in history. They are simply embarrassing. It's THE KILLERS we're talking about. Remember? Indie ROCK? Of course I dare. The Killers are who they are today because of us fans. And the fact that they gave us such shitty album that must have been done in fifteen minutes, made me really angry. They sold out for the money so bad. Fortunately, the facts prove me right. Nobody but blind fans even know the album existed. It left nothing. No classics. No song from BB will be remembered they way singles from the past are (from Mr Brightside to Human). And if that was not enough, even Brandon and Ronnie acknowledge the album wasn't good (if they make that public, it means it really really sucks). So... That's how I dare. "A trully Killers fan" does not eat shit. We appreciate good music, and I know they can give us great music. I already like The Man and Run For Cover way more than this whole bad joke album.
The answer is really simple: I like The Man and I LOVE Day & Age because that's GOOD MUSIC. You don't get it. I don't have anything against pop music, or bands changing styles, as long as the come up with something up to their level. Yes, I prefer the good old time of Hot Fuss, Sam's Town and Sawdust, but I totally respect that they try different things and D&A is not the album that got me in love with The Killers, but it's fresh, innovative, every song paints a different story, it gets to you. BB SUCKS. You listen to it and you feel you'ver heard it before because it's so corny, so basic, so... BAD. The lyrics are embarrassing. I'm a piano and guitar player (I'm not a musician by all means), but I'm surrounded by lots of people who are, or are studying with me, and they were all laughs when they heard the album. The only ones I found who like it, is my (back then) 11-year-old niece and her friends. When the album was released Brandon said that it was "ridiculous, romantic and righteous, but they wouldn't want it any other way." Years later, he said "THE ALBUM WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH AND WE ALL KNOW IT", literally. In an interview with Rolling Stone, he admitted that the band “need a kick in the pants” and require “a little bit of that drive and that hunger back” before recording their next full-length, which again, proves my point that BB must have been written in fifteen minutes. What else do you need? Oh, yes, what about the fact that it was their least succesful album (again, public in general still listens to so many Killers classics and no BB song is included - thank god - not even Runaways, which is probably the best song of the album). I get you're in denial but there's no denying that. It's great that you like it. I hope I like Wonderful Wonderful because, alright, almost all bands release one bad commercial album some time. I hope BB is that, although it wasn't even successful commercially speaking. But believe me, I'm rooting for The Killers and hope they haven't lost touch. Look, it's awesome that you and many people like the album, enjoy! But I think we don't have to be blind fanatics. Many of us disliked it. BB broke my heart and it pissed me off. But, who knows... Maybe thanks to that, they got a move on and are gonna rock us all back again. I hope!
You make me laugh. Do you really think I wanna make you change your mind? Who do you think you are? Oh, right, a stubborn childish person who can't just let go. Do something more useful with your time other than demanding a stranger such a thourough explanation on why they don't like something. Not everybody likes the same things (but fortunately, as regards BB Brandon is on my side, no matter how many more lines you write). The worst song, the nightmare is, no doubt, Here With Me. That seems written by and for Enrique Iglesias' first album, or maybe N'Sync. Right behind comes The Way It Was. I deeply wish those two songs had never existed. I get the feeling they're gonna keep playing The Way It Was live for many years (cuz little girls go crazy about it and that sells tickets), which means that their concerts will never be flawless again. Miss Atomic Bomb is a bad copy of wonderful Dustland Fairytale and, of course, it lacks the original spirit. Deadlines and Commitments is boring as fuck. From Here On Out sounds like the first song a person learns to play on the guitar: it's two tones. A Matter Of Time starts out well, but gets nowwhere when that march part begins, I just want it to end... Etc, etc, etc. Oh, and to crown it all, THE song that's really uplifting, the one that could be at the level of D&A, is not included in the original list! I'm talking about Carry Me Home. They said they didn't know where they were going with this album and that shows. They don't even play Flesh And Bone or Battle Born live in most of their concerts, which is also a pitty. I didn't get what they wanted to do either, but everything made sense when Brandon acknowledged all that I'm saying. So, this is the last thing I'm telling you, since you ARE in denial and we're not going anywhere. You love the album, sadly I don't. And for the last time: Brandon Flowers said: "THE ALBUM IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH", and he didn't leave much room for discussion when he added: "AND WE ALL KNOW IT" (you obviously don't). Try to prove HIM wrong, you denial lover! LOL Bye!
Wow. You should be studied. It's amazing what fanatism can cause on a person. Read, honey, read! It'll do you good. OK, enough is enough. You're really sad. I copied only four links but the web is FULL of them saying pretty much the same. Even Rolling Stone is included. Oh! And one more thing... The thing that started it all: HAVE YOU READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS VIDEO, YOU FREAK?! If not, I'll copy it and paste it for you. RIGHT UP THERE, IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES, IT SAYS: "The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers spoke to NME backstage at this year's Austin City Limits festival. He spoke about The Killers' plans for their fifth album, how their most recent LP Battle Born 'wasn't good enough' and his work with New Order." Are you crazy enough to believe ALL SITES ON THE WEB AGREED ON LYING? Why on earth would they do that?! Besides, if what they say isn't true, Brandon would have sued them. Geez, you're really really crazy, you're a serious case. Up to now it had been fun, but I've had it. You make me feel really sad, more than when I first listened to Battle Born. I feel sorry for you. Get professional help.
What a well-balanced and chill individual. The kind of guy you'd just want to kick it with.
The kind of guy I want to marry😂😅
Im a killers fan since grade school, and battle born is my fav, its freakin epic. And I couldn't stress enough how excited I am for the next record, another great set of songs for sure.
I am excited as well, friend!!! The Killers always impress me! Every record The Killers make has a special style!
Battle Born is brilliant! Still listening to it every week.
Gotta love this man and his band!!!! Can't wait for next Killers tour!
Battle Born was their most powerful album thus far. Unlike the youth and excitement of Hot Fuss and following, it is an album of maturity.
I love Battle Born.
Wonderful wonderful turned out BEUTIFUL
he looks like a manga vampire- goregeous dude
Love him so much! And I love The Killers 3
I lovvvveee youuuuu
I can't wait!!!
Soon, Brandon, please!! :D
If and when the killers release their next album will be the best day ever!!!!!!
And now 3 albums in 4 years :)
i think battle born will age gracefully a lot of people think that runaways and battle born as a whole is underrated. battle born was good enough
Damn, the killers make beautiful music. The style they have?!..., man.
In my taste for music they're right up there with The National for indie rock.
Does anyone know what song he's talking about at the very beginning?
+F Hill He's talking about "Come Out With Me", an intro song he sang during the later gigs of the The Desired Effect tour. Never got recorded, tho...
what song is he talking about at the start?
Brandon is wasted in this video. God bless him. Dude is a God.
He doesn’t drink.
Did he get veneers?
Yes.
another Runaways type song pls
I think they may never release new material.
lol?
derekmarkovic You're so fucking wrong
Adolfo Vazquez I hope so. FYI, despite the constant talk of new material in the works, in a few months it will be five years since their last studio album.
It's been confirmed that their new album will be released this summer (2017)
kvrl Where was this confirmed? I think it's all still rumor.
the first 2 albums where great!....... everything after those two where just..........meh. ......... they need to go back to there indie pop rock roots and do some fan service
Battleborn definitely has great songs, but it's hands down their weakest.
day and age is mt least favourite im sry but hot fuzz all the way
hot fuzz is a movie starring Simon pegg
from the Sam's town album to the present day...he looks like two different people...he looks super gaunt now.... Cocaine is a helluva drug...
Peter North lol dude that's so ignorant
dude...it's not ignorant...it's simply my observation. Pull up a picture of him from the Sam's Town album and compare that to how he looks now... the cocaine reference was a joke dude....an ongoing Rick James gag from the Dave Chapelle show...it's not ignorance....dude.
I know, he does look gaunt. He doesn't have the moustache and he probably at weight. also, he's older

Aside from Muse those bands are mediocre and cater to a teenage audience. Hence their "success".
+r13lilwendz imagine dragons have already faulted with thier new album, it is in no way as good as the first, so things aren't looking good for them
Imagine dragons are okay at best, walk the moon will be a one hit wonder, and muse is by far the best of those three. The Killers have their own niche in the music world. Mr Brightside will be a timeless classic; it's being played to date. And to think that the song came out in 2004.
+siddeeee hit the nail on the head
