You are right about Santa Fe area. Stunning! North of there is Rio Arriba County, headwaters for the Rio (Rio Grande river). Beloved by the Puebloan first nations. Lucky you to be there. 😎

@@ARealLiveNomad Espanola was my first retirement place- to-be, but real life prevented that. I would recommend Flagstaff, deservedly well-loved by Phoenix refugees (snicker chuckle 🥴). Safe travels!
@@ARealLiveNomad Espanola area, and slightly upriver from there, are estuarial (wetlands)--should get some GREAT bird watching, frogs, amphibians, etc. Have fun high enough to be cooler climate than Santa Fe, greener. ❤️
