This looks SPECTACULAR; one of the weirdest things I used to enjoy about my delivery job was seeing the insides of people's houses, especially those with more unusual decor, like the lady with lime green shag carpet, and a bonus film of lime flavor in the air... and probably scent, but I don't have a sense of smell, so I can't speak to that. Gonna wait until it's finished, but this sounds like it was made for me.
Definitely the best back rooms game I’ve played and it’s for consoles too, which is great. Took me around three hours to beat the first level. It’s not linear like other back rooms games it’s actually a maze and maddening.
I wish this maybe had 3 levels at release instead of 2 but what we got, I kind of love. Dreampools especially should be played in the dark with headphones on, really helps you “get” it. Not usually a fan of these back room/liminal space stuff but this was actually pretty great for what it is.
To be fair, it nails the atmosphere of the backrooms (I dont know if your comment was negative or positive). A maddening labyrinth of corridors that should not extend near endlessly, yet they do. No cheap jumpscares, no over the top anything. It's all so good, I definitely reccomend it. The Eternal Suburbia 2nd part is my favourite right now, it combines the elements of liminal suburbs with backroom interiors and nonsensical architecture, plus it has 1-2 tiny hints that aid you in finishing that part. Mostly you're panicking while going in circles through rooms and rooms. (Or that was me at least). All in all I definitely recommend it. It's really a no bullshit liminal experience, and if you're into that, totally go for it!
@@smaradav_ i dont get the appeal tbh. in real life, yes it would creep me the fuck out and i'd go mad. as a game though? it's really just a walking sim at this point. now if there was some kinda monster there (i know it's intended to be devoid of any life) it would be so much more tense cause i'm actually trying to get out asap before the monster finds me. with nothing in there hunting you though there's not even a reason for a sprint button since you can just chill while walking around.
@@buschilol8912 That's the thing, there is already so much low effort monster/Jumpscare backrooms games that this is one of the first polished backroom games that is just that, the tension is that feeling of loneliness, liminal spaces that can make pepole feel watched even though they are truly alone, if you want to play for cheap scares and low quality story's there are plenty of other backrooms games that fit your bill
NGL i was expecting more levels on "release". Steam page says liminal places, plural, so they decided to "release" the game as soon as this statement is technically correct. Why can't they be honest and say it's early acess? Especially since one of 2 levels is pools, and we already have another Pools focused game, and that one is at least honest with what's on offer.
Unfortunately the slides dont work in this game :( But its very well made, i played the suburbia demo and now the full release, there is so much more to do after u beat the first level, i love it
Five, but only two are released currently (the pool rooms and Eternal Suburbia, both had free demos but the full levels are way longer). The other 3 chapters will be released every few months, the 5th will be released next year. The game's price will increase the more chapters release, but if you get the game now, youll get the lther chapters for free (it'll probably not increase much in price). I just watched the video and everything I said is in the video lmao, except the number of chapters, yes, five.
@IDreamofIndie its Out and im playing The pool rooms. I still wish there were monsters though. If only they appeared very rarely but were very fast and strong.
Not to throw any accusations at the devs or anyone involved, but something feels kinda off. That whole system of it being a fully released game that I'm still supposed to treat like Early Access is mad suspicious. It's like they're trying to pressure me into getting the game now under threat of having to pay more when the game is actually finished. It's a tactic I strongly don't agree with for a game that is being treated as released, and when such pressure is exerted upon me, my instinct is to resist. So, I'm passing on this one. Maybe I'm just being an overly cautious weirdo, but it's my money and I try my best not to spend it on promises from people I have zero reason to trust.
Why are you saying follow clues? There isn’t any clues to follow, you pretty much just walking until you find an unfamiliar route you never came across.
This is not even a little bit fun lol I swear if these hacks just release the backrooms and an infinite staircase next I'll lower my rating even more. Liminal space? Liminal waste of my time
hi Can I like your email? We are a game developer group and I would be happy if you could make a video of our game. Because the game is not supported at all!
Note: Dreamcore will also be released on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Sorry for forgetting to list those platforms in the video!

i know wym. when i used to doordash to hotels i would get that liminal vibe
This and POOLS are exactly what i wanted from a liminal space game
Dreamcore reminds me so heavily of POOLS, I honestly thought they were one and the same until I saw the suburbia level. Thanks for the coverage! 💜
Certainly happy to help 😊
One of the few times I've paused a review to purchase a game. This looks incredible!
💜💜💜
Going to play this while tripping today:)
Please tie your shoes! 🙏
Envious! Hope to do the same soon. How was it??
Buying the game now on ps5. Thank you! New subscriber now!
I remember dreamcore was the earliest pool game on steam (in demo), but waited the longest to release an offcial version.
Time flies!
dream core is a game i’ve been waiting for for a long time. idk it feels different than others and i absolutely love it
Definitely the best back rooms game I’ve played and it’s for consoles too, which is great. Took me around three hours to beat the first level. It’s not linear like other back rooms games it’s actually a maze and maddening.

Great review. Will likely pick it up with a future sale. Thanks.
Always happy to help! 🐱
I swear every backrooms liminal game is just a mad lib of empty rooms and office buildings and pools with random symbols and objects
THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE

I've never played a backrooms type of game before. This feels a bit empty but maybe that's the experience? I appreciate the review! 🤙🏻
It's definitely a different style of game!
Unfortunately the slides dont work in this game :(

Thank you for watching!
imma swipe this on PS5 today after work✔
Enjoy it! 😊
Have you played The Indigo Parallel? I think you should review/try it out
Does anyone know if it is already available on consoles, and if not when?
Looks like it should be today!
How many charpters exactly?

I can't download it on my Xbox Series S. It says currently unavailable :( I WANT TO PLAY THE GAME!
Hopefully it's up in a few hours for you at the most!

Whats the game called?

Bought it twice for pc and ps5

Not like many other indie developers don't do this. More content = more money. Makes sense.
The footstep audio noise puts me off the game.
👣👣👣
I played this game once and i loved it but i was stuck on the first level for so long it just got boring
The other one that I wait for looks even better, it’s called „Subliminal”, but I’ll get „Dreamcore” right now.
I got it
Enjoy 😊
Is it not coming for Ps5 today too? I mean yes
It looks like it is actually! Honestly didn't even realize that :)
I draw dreamcore with my art style
Dream pools is definitely better.
dang ur quick with it. It only just released on Steam about an hour ago
Because we are a media outlet we were able to get a bit earlier access :)
Why are you saying follow clues? There isn’t any clues to follow, you pretty much just walking until you find an unfamiliar route you never came across.
I take it you didn't pick up on the audio clues then?
@ Yet still same applies, you’re just walking for hours until you hear something
Thank you for watching!

How many cheeprers are in the cane
Please
This is not even a little bit fun lol

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and watching!
Not everyone will enjoy this kinda thing, but there’s a great deal of people who do, so let them like what they like
