Challenge yourself to score 18 or above!
Each answer starts with a letter in the alphabet, the answer to question 1 begins with A, question 2 begins with B, down to 26 which will begin with the letter Z.
There is good mix of general knowledge and trivia questions (some are difficult), I hope you enjoy and good luck.
There is audio throughout reading out the questions and answers (in English).

Hi Dale. Crashed a little on the quiz but the tiebreaker is not 3999. You can have a bar over the letter to multiply by 1000, see any maths or wiki site, so 3,999,999 is the answer. If lower case is a bar, which I can’t type here, it’s mmmdmxc1xCMXC1X, but the first 1 has a bar over it, so is equivalent to an M. You can’t prefix by a lower Roman number than one before, so mmm1m doesn’t count. And you can’t have a double bar so that’s the maximum number . Great question. NB people still think leap years are every four years, which they are not. Maybe I can send you a set of maths questions, might be an eye opener even if not fun for everyone 😎👍

The questions starts “In Ancient Rome” - I’m pretty positive that the adding of lines above symbols to make higher numbers (which was needed by societies that used Roman Numerals) came after the period of Ancient Rome.
Though I could be wrong 😳.
I would love any maths questions you have 😀 (nothing too taxing) - and maybe you could help me out with this one - is obelus another word for the division symbol?
Missed E, Q, X, Z - the bonus MMMDMLCIX? (3999) today's quiz brought back some memories growing up in the 70s/80s - Airplane (Flying High here), stylus (My record collection funded by my after school jobs). thanks Dale.

I was at my mums at the weekend and came across a load of her old records, I played some of the songs that we found through my phone - she loved it 😀.

Bonus: 3999
It could be 3,999,999, if the stuff I learned in school was correct about putting a line over the number meant a thousand times as much, but I have learned to trust what I learned in school with suspicion 😊

The bonus is 3999 - that’s the highest they went to in Roman times, but you are right about putting a line over some to make higher numbers, but that came later 👍🏻.
I got 21 correct. My favorite question was the letter Y. As a New York Yankees fan that was an extremely easy one. His other nickname was Joltin' Joe. He also had brothers who played in the majors. As for the bonus the answer is 3,999 as the highest number that could be written in ancient Rome using Roman Numerals. Also just if you ever have time you might find the documentaries by Ken Burns very interesting. He has done a varied of topics from everything from Baseball to Jazz and topics in between

I got 22 - gutted that I dropped 2 of the last 5!
I don't know of a letter for more than 1,000 so (as you can't have 4 of them together) I'll guess it's 3,999.
I got 18 this time.
Bonus .. I'm going say 3999 because M is the highest value Roman numeral (1000)
and you can never have more than 3 of the same numeral together
for example 4 is not IIII it's IV
and there is no numeral bigger than M to put the I in front of to make 4000

Team Odin here,we got 17/26 so not very good.We think the bonus question is 10,000 if using the multiplicator which is a straight put over the top of the M to times it by 10

Bonus-wise, I'm not C% sure, but is it 3,999 according to the clues you mention (MMMDCDXCIX)? It's complicated a bit by the special symbols they introduced later on to represent things like 10,000, but if we're just talking in terms of the basic 'letter' ones, I think that might be the answer?

Yuor rules for Roman numerals in the bonus question is incorrect!
Because IX is a swear word in some cultures, most Roman numerated clock and watch faces revert to IIII as opposed to IX. 😳🤓
