I can't describe the relaxation I get from this podcast. Thinking for Thinking sake is so much fun. Even just recognizing "earworms" and listening to ridiculous theories.
Thanks to these guys just living enough to help me remember being a human.

My first CHINWAG. And a perfect one to start with!
Have you ever devoted an episode toward a discussion of the writer David (VOYAGE TO ARCTURUS, THE HAUNTED WOMAN, THE SPHINX etc) Lindsay? Now THAT would be uber-interesting indeed.

G'day Paul & Stephen, fantastic conversation with Leslie Kean whom, as a fellow journalist (retired), I admire greatly. One surprising reference made by Leslie at the top of her interview was the suggestion she didn't think all this was, "... about aliens...".
OK, yes, there are other manifestations of weirdness apart from 'nuts & bolts' craft spotted in the sky, etc. Like the serious studies into general 'paranormal' incidents that could have 'spiritual' or psychological aspects.,
Given that, now, thanks to the earlier work by Leslie, and many others, it's pretty well established that objects seen in the sky are 'intelligently' operated. It is also a given, I think, that humans have not, as yet, been able to create a flying craft that makes no sign of propulsion, exhaust and are able to move in ways that would be deadly to human occupants.
Pardon me if I've missed something in the last 16, or so, years of research and reading I've put into this topic; but where else might these 'craft' be operated and/or created if not by entities not born on Earth?
As much as I would like to believe that these craft might originate from the US but as of now, I can't see that being the case... unless there are a handful of extremely secretive folk in the military or private aerospace who have made face to face contact with 'aliens', nobody knows if they are real BUT we still haven't proven that these 'special craft' seen on radar and by countless eye witnesses are from Earth either.
So, if the speculation is that it is, "... not about aliens...", then what is it all about?
I played that part of the podcast back again a couple of times and that's, clearly, what her suggestion was.
I'm only halfway through 'Imminent' so, I must get back to that. Thanks for this interesting podcast. Cheers, Bill H.
P.S. As the first part of my journalism career was as a film and theatre critic/reviewer, Paul I've got to take this opportunity to say your acting is consistently, truly outstanding. All the best, Paul, your 70-year-old 'fanboy'. 😉

2:00 I'm convinced that there is such a thing as silent Tourette's Syndrome. A tune, a phrase, a jingle; something that pops into your head. I'm sure it's a stress/relief thing.

I'm with you up to a point. I think there is a more apt comparison than Tourette's. Food for thought *%#@!!!! Whoops, sorry. Tourette's.

Could the deceased be capable of building "etherial" ships that allow them to break the "death barrier" , so to speak (or "afterlife barrier", to re-visit this side of existence? (Just spit-balling here, ha. But....who knows?)

  • @RSEFX

Wait!---you say you don't think anyone thinks these are alien visitors from another planet? That's hardly something that can be said so definitively. And, of course, if people say they are time travelers, then, well crossing space would be easy, ie if time travel is real, aliens can get here just as easily as future humans.
Or maybe the UFO's are the dead come back in some other form> Now that would be weird.

Interesting episode. I so do want to believe in ET visitation whatever examination there might be, but I think I'm going to have to see one myself. I get so disappointed with proponents like her that proceed with huge assumptions, say something is 100% true without proof, dodge direct questions like a politician, and claim government conspiracy. That's when they lose me. Ot sort of becomes dogma on par with religion.

I like Leslie Kean, but I think she should be very cautious about Luis Elizondo; IMO, that guy is more likely to be a disinformation agent, or at least a grifter, than he is to be a genuine reliable source. As for Whitley Strieber, well, I loved the movie, but apart from that, he's an out and out flim-flam man and teller of tall tales.

And you are either a disinformation agent yourself or have believed the disinformation of other agents. Hope it’s the former and you know the truth.

As for Strieber, yeah I heard from some residents in Buckley, WA that knew of him back when he wrote Communion and said he was sketchy. I had occasion to spend time with these people in the late 80's and they were quite free with their opinions and stories about him. Memory fades but they weren't very charitable.

You’re are wrong. Luis Elizondo is an American patriot and if you haven’t read his book Imminent, I suggest you do so before passing judgement. The man’s got integrity to the ninth degree. As for Whitley Striebers experience it’s just one in a long list of abductee accounts. He had the courage to share his story with his powerful book Communion with that unforgettable alien gray on the cover. It was the starting point for many UFO researchers. I have been at this for more than 25 years and have listened to and read so much on the topic and there’s now no denying our visitors existence and what’s really is going on.
