to be honest, hearing this makes me a bit emotional. Thinking that all this started from sneaking flintstones into videogame songs, and evolved into what I believe is one of the best musical events in recent history, with a lot of styles and original artists being represented in both a fun and high quality way, people making music, talking about the characters and just generally having a good time. Almost doesn't matter who wins, cause we all pretty much won already. Thank you SiIva team and all the people who contributed to this.

Can we like, keep getting dual-like rips every now and then even after the tournament ends? Like, they don't have to _look_ like tournament rips anymore, but _feel_ like one? For example, a Sonic Rush rip with a future funk motif so people end up going "Oh shit, Mariya and DJ are at it again!".
I dunno, I just feel like this tounament is too big to just simply come and go, though I guess all good things must come to an end eventually.
I feel like that’s kind of what SiIvaGunner as a channel is all about when it’s not just memes. The tournament just highlighted those parts while also featuring normal arrangements as well.

So I clearly had no idea what I was missing out on.
When the first KFAD came out I only saw a few rips in my recommended tab, but I never got to watching it.
When the second KFAD came out, I only ever watched one rip, but that was the extent of it, until it turned December, and I found out Mariya Takeuchi was part of this.
Siivagunner never fails to surprise me with good rips but I didn't know they could be this good.
I didn't know you could vote on these things until it was already grand finals so I never got to it. But ever since then, I've listened to nothing but KFAD rips until today.
Now that it's over, I've never felt so empty, and I already miss a tournament I've never been interested in until it was over.
And the Mojo stories just made me sadder that this all ended. It never occurred to me how attached you can be to actual memes.
Great work you guys, I know this is a lot of work but I hope there's ever a third one so I know what it'd feel like to lose a main, or to rejoice when mine wins.

I love how the percussion from K's sources keep the song's energy moving when it gets to Mariya's part. Honestly, it's really cool seeing these two contestants work so well off of each other.

In the Grand Finals Round of UHC2 vs. OTH, they pulled exactly that:
In the end, OTH appeared last with the signature soundeffect, just for the screen to white out and UHC to appear instead.
They WILL modify the results screen in some way from the usual format. They WILL use it to at least extend the tension, at worst to do a fake out.
But what if the twist was MissingNo. corrupting the hall of fame.

This feels like a song that would play over the last minutes of an anime finale, where the main characters are finally traveling back home after their long journey, revisiting all the side characters who are happily waving as they rebuild their homes, until our main team finally arrives to their quaint little village, and as the hero bids farewell to his friends and walks to his small, quiet house, and as he enters he smiles at the free, cloudless sunset, breathes a sigh of relief, and closes his door. That’s what this song is.

I was honestly die hard DJPK this whole tournament, but just like so many others, how could I not be proud if either one won?
I had no idea what KFAD was when it was announced, it seemed so bizarre. Yet here I am, listening to rips of the craziest characters, and unbelievable combinations of them that I didn't think would be possible.

I unfortunately missed the tournament as a whole, as well as K's takeover, but just looking back at all the rips and looking through the comment sections, I can tell that people really loved this tournament, i know there probably won't be a third, but if there is, I will most certainly vote. And dammit i'll do it responsibly.

Though, a third tournament is very unlikely if not impossible, sadly. Unless the Siiva team has just been pretending they’d been REALLY against the idea just for the sake of surprising us in a few years, for some reason.

People were already super inspired to make their own tournaments back when this one dropped, and last year someone in the Siiva server said they wanted to pay the team to make an encore with a few more arrangements for each character, plus a few new characters. I don’t know what happened to that, though.
EDIT: THE KFAD ENCORE IS STILL ONGOING
@@fool9119 I found more stuff about it in the Siiva server; the “KFAD Encore Guy” spearheading the project is still active (posted last a few days ago) and apparently the project has its own server according to messages sent a few months ago.
I don’t know much more about it than that, though!

the song i always come back too, this was such a lovely send off. might be one of my favorite ever internet events i ever participated in, such fun times. i was so invested, rooting for Mariya, but at this point when this came out I really couldve went either way. i was so happy, ever since she got kicked to losers in the first round it was complete domination, and professor K was also on a complete domination, never losing. it was so fun. one of these days i want to work on something to commemorate this event, this song in particular.

Can we appreciate the fact that all the DJ Professor K vs. Mariya dual rips were made within the span of 4-5 days? There's obviously a ton of prep that went into making rips ahead of time, but the number of rips that are being made as the tournament goes on is what's impressed me the most.

The channel had a contest between a bunch of characters to compete for a day of music all for themselves.
Each character had a theme in their music:
Mariya: city pop music
DJ Professor K: funky tunes
Ajit pai: memes/ robot music
Johnny Bravo: cartoon music
Etc.
Each week characters were pitted in a polling match and whoever got the most votes would carry on while the losers get in the losers bracket or eliminated.
The final match was between Mariya and Professor K who are in the video and it was intense, they were the two most beloved characters and ultimately DJ Professor K won but a lot of nice tunes were made in this tournament.
