I think it’s enabled by default because I don’t see any settings related to Vsync/ Adaptive sync / other syncs. The official website does mentioned that it supports adaptive sync, so…gonna trust the officials on this one Hope this helps😂
Good question, scrolling white text on black background makes it easier for the eyes. Things like texting friends in discord, social medias with dark mode on is fine. I’ve tried gaming in lowlight, it still hurts my eyes. Have to say the backlight is very bright on this monitor.
@@jasonhan4791 this monitor's panel is VA right? there's a known downside to VA panels such as smearing on the edges of moving objects. When you scroll white text on a black background it will look like there's a trailing shadow on the text's. How bad is the smearing in this monitor? It can be quite annoying and deal breaking.
@@yaxl Ah I see what you meant, I call that “ghosting”😂. I’ve tested the monitor with the famous “UFO test” with black background and some other “text scrolling test” The (texts/ subject) does have some ghosting because its a VA panel not IPS. But it does not affect the content displayed on the screen much. I know there are monitors that makes the text disappear when you scroll the white text with black background. The text will just dims and if worse, it will disappear. But that’s not the case for this monitor. ☺️
@@jasonhan4791 Good to know. I was thinking of getting philips 242e1gaj, also a VA panel, but the ghosting especially with text is pretty bad. That's a no go since i will be working with text and dark mode a lot. This one seems okay.
@@yaxl Here’s a side note for you, the text will not disappear when scrolling , however there will be a bit of colour shifting. Like the white text will turn slightly yellow when you scroll it ‘fast’. For me, I don’t find it bothersome. This will not happen on an IPS panel. I’ve tested it with my other IPS panel monitor, the ghosting are about the same. So you need not worry. You can reduce the ghosting even more with this monitor by enabling“smart response”.🤭
I recommend you to use both hands to tilt the monitor. One on the middle top, another hand on the middle bottom below the “philips logo” 0:47 is the tilting joint . Hope you found this helpful^^
Yes you can. You will need a HDMI cable to do it. Firstly, find your X-box HDMI port then pick one end of the HDMI cable and insert it into the port, then the other end you have to plug into the monitor"s HDMI port. That should do the trick💪
@@colinray5917 You can press the menu button right beside the power button on the monitor. Then, there will be an “input” option shown on the screen. Navigate the menu through the buttons on the monitor. Select “input” and then choose HDMI. Hope that helps
Came for the review, stay for the comedian show 🤣
1:37 other monitor (similar specs and price)
It says on the specs that it supports Adaptive Sync, were you able to enable it or is it enabled by default?
