This song well illustrates the difference between Marie's Roxette work with Per and her own personal creativity, which is deeper, not as commercial but very hàunting and beautiful.

LolaPaola - The song is about the main character Gertrud(a young woman)and her nickname is "Sparvöga" or "Sparroweye" in english. She got that nickname from her grandpa because of her clear look. It is a tv-series in 6 parts that was broadcast on Swedish television -89 and is based on a novel in three parts written by Ann-Charlotte Alverfors and came out: "Sparvöga" 1975, "Hjärteblod" 1976 and "Snabelros" 1977.
I was in my early teens when Roxette was popular here in the U.S. They faded from the U.S. music scene shortly afterwards and I forgot all about them until I heard Marie died. I'm only now discovering her old music and appreciating just how great a singer she was....damn
