Yes, the whole generator assembly is suspended by springs, even the flywheel has a spring to maintain the rotation constant. Such attention to details is simply amazing..
You cannot just stuff an new oil wick into the scanner. This wick has to be properly attached to the according bearing. you have to completely disassemble the scanner, drill out the rivets, remove the bearing, attach new cotton wicks and reassemble the whole thing. The same applies to all other wicks, that have to be replaced.

Hi! As i understand there are some notes not working on multiple drawbars, so i suspect that the problem is in the generator.. Perhaps some tonewheels are stuck? This is a problem that likely occurs when the organ is not properly oiled or has been off for a long period of time. The first thing to do would be to check visually the generator (and its wiring) and try to see if all the gears are turning (try to raise the gen. and feel the wheels with your finger). the motor and gears are suppose to be on a spring mounted assembly, I have a M3 and it runs pretty quitely.

Use some gun coat by Flouramics Tuf Oil....it will quiet down, you will never have to lubricate again
