Classic 1940s chord block. Marvelous. I love how Seth MacFarlane basically just is Brian on the show, and both have that sort of love for tradionalism and wanting to be happy.
From the moment I saw this episode, it immediately became one of my favorite Christmas specials. Yeah, it has some dark moments, but I love how it takes such a grounded approach to Santa Claus in the modern world, while also having a great message that deviates so much from what you would expect of a Christmas special.
man, the music in this show is one thing that's always fantastic. they manage to make songs that are comical but still genuinely nice to listen to-- i keep saying seth needs to just make a whole-ass musical someday, i think that'd be awesome
“Buddy boy I got your Christmas right here”. What they’re basically saying is that a better version would be “Doesn’t this seem like too much stuff?” “Suck my dick, it’s not enough” “Buddy boy I got your christmas right here”.
It's not ' they go so well' the voices were made to go together so that they harmonize. It happens everytime they sing in chorus. It is easier to notice when mort , Herbert and Adam West sing together, you can see they adjust their pitches .
Here’s a fact: Mila Kunis is a terrible singer, so whenever Meg has to sing, Seth MacFarlane’s sister Rachael, who’s the voice of Hayley Smith from American Dad, does the singing
Honestly, joe's is the only wish that I feel like is really genuine and wholesome. while it is still played off for laughs, its honestly really quite sad when you think about it.
I know Family Guy is just a cartoon comedy series, but this episode truly was a masterpiece. I mean, I love Family Guy, regardless, but this episode has now become a Christmas tradition in my family. Just spectacularly well done throughout. I’ll never forget the night this actually premiered. I was a senior in high school, sitting by the Christmas tree with my sister. We were just tuning in for a typical Family Guy episode and then this hit us. Incredible job from Seth and his team.

The problem is that people oftentimes associate different with bad. Family Guy is far from the show it used to be, but it's still a fun and entertaining time. It's just enjoyable in a different way than the older seasons.
I like how this song. Builds to the second half of the special. Where Brian is telling everyone that he thinks they're asking for too much. Which is exactly what happened with Santa. Everybody got too greedy and was asking for way too much stuff to wear a put Santa in poor health.
