    Are u able to do a tutorial how to do this on acoustic guitar?

    • @BurnSavvy
      @BurnSavvy  3 месяца назад

      Possibly. I don’t have one to practice on, but if I get one I’ll post it. I’m afraid that removing the finish to burn it and adding the finish back would mess with the quality of the guitar’s sound in the end

    Is it slightly carving into the wood?

    • @BurnSavvy
      @BurnSavvy  9 месяцев назад

      It does slightly sink into the wood since wood shrinks when it’s burned.

    mine keep messing up going thick wat degree do I put it on

    • @BurnSavvy
      @BurnSavvy  Год назад +1

      There are lots of reasons lines can end up getting thick. You may have the heat up too high, you may be pressing too hard, and/or you could be hitting soft spots in the wood grain that burn faster and make the line thicker.
      As for how hot it is, I was probably at a medium high heat. My burner doesn’t show me the temperature, and even if it did, different burners will burn differently, even at the same temperature because they may have a different cord that drives the heat or a different wire at the tip that burns hotter or colder.
      Just try turning it as low as you can while still getting a nice dark line - doesn’t have to be perfect. Then use the woodburning techniques I teach to touch up or swing in any spots that skip.

      Hope that helps!

      if you’re having issues with the thickness of the line, i’d recommend getting a finer nib.
      temperature mostly affects the darkness of the line and the amount of oil smudging. if those are issues for you, then i would recommend a lower temperature setting (350°-400° C) and working more slowly

    • @BurnSavvy

      Lettering is hard! If you’re using rough grained wood or too high of a heat it will definitely fight you. Might consider watching my playlist on wood for woodburning or my beginner techniques videos and see if that helps
