      @mbealhighjump 7 месяцев назад +59

      @@Jman511x”Control” asked for smoke from ANYBODY. All rappers either respected it & stayed silent or responded (Big Krit). Drake is the only one that took it personal, again another notch in not understanding the culture. Drake then went on to throw subliminals over the next decade while Kendrick also threw subs while saying “Say my name and I’ll appear.” Drake never said his name directly.
      Then comes “First Person Shooter” where Drake asked for a Kendrick feature that he denied “Surprised when you sent that feature request. You know we got some shit ti address.” Then FPS comes out and Drake & Cole allude to be the only 2 at the top which leads to “Like That.”
      Kendrick has always wanted the smoke as an MC but Drake’s mistake was asking to make this a sewer fight. Kendrick said we can leave it at rap but Drake involved the family.

In L.A., especially if you from the street side of things which Drake likes to align himself with, your allegiance is first and foremost to your neighborhood, set, etc. No one from L.A. can “choose” allegiance to Drake over Dot because Dot IS L.A…..

      @originalstorm6272 whats crazy is that for a long time, the westcoasts downfall was its disloyalty to eachother. The culture of LA taught rappers to be divided. And that shit spread like a plague. 2pac v Ice Cube, Eazy v Dre, Game vs Rass Kass, Mc Eiht v Quik, Death Row vs other underground westcoast rappers. Nobody had Pacs back during his beef with the eastcoast. But YG, Nip, Schoolboyq, TDE, Tyler Creator and his crew are all close in friendship. This new generation of westcoast rappers learned from the past. They a tight knight group. And Kendrick got LA producers providing the backdrop too (alchemist, Mustard etc.) Its a beautiful energy the westcoast providing rn

    Drake thought he had a Nuke about Kendrick’s personal life and he believed what Pusha did to him he could do to Kendrick. I am from Cali so I am biased as I have always been a big Kendrick fan. Drake's mistake is thinking that Kendrick is just another rapper. Kendrick Lamar is a Pulitzer Prize winner, and the first and only rapper to do so when it was only awarded to classical/ jazz musicians and/or composers. This award a'int a BET, AMA, Grammy, or Oscar award. It is one award, per year, and one reserved for music. Not even Michael, Jackson, Witney, Prince, or so many other legends ever got the award. Think about that. You never bet against true intelligence and people with talent to "create."

    Eminem Tried to warn him, The Game tried to Warn him, Kendrick Literally gave him a chance to end this shit in Euphoria, AND HIS OWN MENTOR TOLD HIM NOT TO TAKE HIS DOMINANCE FOR GRANTED. and yet Drake learned NOTHING from his Damn near laughable defeat against Pusha T. He keeps making stupid decision after Stupid Decision.
    Again, coming from someone who's been with Drake's music since Thank Me Later, You'd think After A Good 18 years in the game, Drake should be at a point in his career Where he's as respected as Cole, The Weekend and Hell, Kendrick at this point, But At 38, he still operates like He's 23. He Is at an Age where Writing songs about Breakups, Loves and Girls should be Long past behind him by now, He said himself that he ain't cool, and yet He keeps Shooting himself in the foot. A "record label" filled with Writers and Overlooked talent worked to the bone, A Face Palming attempt to jump on trending music instead of staying in his damn lane, And destroyed relationships up the ass, All leading to what's shaping up to be a Trial against the entire music industry on weather or not Drake should be Discredited, Sued and Now Outright Arrested, Because He can't Grow up.

    He was right when he said all Drake had to say was the DV and Kid thing Kendrick had 4 dedicated songs because he’s just a better artist. Drake didn’t have enough creativity or ammo to attack Kendrick for more than 2 mins

    Taking a long time to release projects does not mean a rapper takes a long time to write raps. True artists uses that time to experience things and thoughts to write about.

    7:20 That's 1,000% nail on the head. "I'm allergic to the lame shit, only you like bein' famous". Drake relied on his fame and Social Media presence to carry him to victory. He attempted to force Kendricks hand by saying that he has a week to respond and Social Media acted accordingly. Drake had been backpedaling ever since "Euphoria" came out and "Not Like Us" was the nail in the coffin. Drake has never been nor ever will be a "Rapper". He is an entertainer at best and whatever accolades you want to associate with that is fine. Those who side with Kendrick and still call Drake a rapper are missing the point of the whole beef.

    Isnt there a video where Eminem made Kendrick on the spot challenged him and his lyricism? And Kendrick got his stamp of Approval. That's all I would have needed not to underestimate Kendrick as a MC. Kicked everybody out the lab and made him just prove it.

  • @pakONEoh
    @pakONEoh 7 месяцев назад +4

    Eminem told us Kendrick can write. When he first met Kendrick, he asked him to tell his crew to leave the studio and then Eminem had him write some stuff on the spot. And he did. That's when Eminem said he knew Kendrick was legit.

    Drake's master plan didn't anticipate Cole removing himself from the board. He expected Dot & Cole to demolish each other, allowing Drake to assert dominance in the end.
    Cole's removal was the biggest move in the beef. No longer a zone defense for Drake, it's man to man.

    They don't know shit because Eminem said he made Kendrick sat alone in a room and write his verse for their song together. Him and black hippie used to have writing sessions. I don't know how they think his absence from the game is confused with him writing slow.

    I don’t think Drake realized how much Kendrick actually hated him. In reality I don’t think Drake truly has issues with Dot, I don’t at all think he cares about any of the things he called out Kendrick for. BUT KENDRICK on the other hand has genuine issues with Drake and everything he stands for, that’s why Drake walked in with a lil swag but Kendrick came out swinging.

Meet the Grahams dropping what 30 minutes later was a whole vibe shift. We be sitting on the couch scared of a song, that sh*t was like a horror movie.

    "How do you know that?"
    "It's Kendrick Lamar."
    What does that fool mean how was Kendrick supposed to know that? Has he never listened toma single Kendrick album??? Cole knew to get out the way quick. Drake should have also known he wasn't even supposed to step on the road.

    Drake fans gotta just deal with the fact that aubrey got smoked in this battle and yes he did put out a banger, family matters is a great song but so was Takeover by jay z lol. Nas still won tho. K Dot simply had the better and hard hitting disses, broke down his personality and character, his fake persona, made people question drake about his alleged grooming. he really destroyed drake i mean come on, even beating him in his own game which is the numbers game.

    Drake had two kill shots: “Family Matters” for the music and music video, and the stunt with the alleged fake daughter (which I personally believe Drake did trick Kendrick about) for pure beef tactics.
    “Family Matters” had its moment totally stolen by “Meet the Grahams,” and the secret daughter plot fell down because Drake expected Kendrick to make it the crux of his attack-when Kendrick had SO MANY other angles to attack Drake on. After Meet the Grahams dropped, the daughter was like one of 20 things people were buzzing about.

      Drake was WAY too casual about the Epstein-esque attack. He knew it was coming but couldn't handle the onslaught when it did. There were too many pictures, interviews, rumors, etc. in the public domain that suggested that Drake had relationships with barely legal girls. What Drake would likely be responsible of is grooming, not necessarily pedophilia. But to the public, it is all the same. He thought that Kendrick's only haymaker would be the child and left the sex trafficking things fester for a day. Not Like Us doubled-down on it. It was over.
