      @@insta_725 Scorps and typhoons will deal more damage to builds while being a lot more consistent, since canons are guaranteed to get the damage from the penetration value (65% for typhoons, 80% for mastodons) - **or more** due to the penetration (which got increased with 10% of the blast dmg being converted to projectile damage, i.e. more penetration). More penetration for canons means that the explosion will get moved further into the build, allowing it to damage more parts as well as more important parts.
      Scorps will have a higher chance of getting more damage than the annoying 20 or 40 dmg hits because they will penetrate more than 7 blocks, as long as you shoot in the middle of the build instead of just slicing some parts off a builds' corner.
      In the planned balance changes they said: "This way, “Scorpion” will be able to deal more consistent, but at the same time, limited damage." With 'limited damage' they didnt mean "less damage" but rather "balanced/fair damage" as they had a different implementation in a earlier test server where scorps were completely broken because the scorp damage didnt get reduced by a percentage that gets higher the more parts it penetrates (as it will be), but it decreased by a flat value which was not enough of a limitation.

    We use range in top 10 cw all the time 😂

      Definitely not full range tho, at least 1 or 2 breakers, punishers or dogs - on PC that is. Because a scorp has absolutely no chance against a skilled punisher in a 1v1, no matter how well he hits, thats just a fact at the moment. On PC people are too accurate on DPS builds, on top of punishers especially have insane dmg

      @@striatecactus5731 Damn, glad that it works for you with that comp. Over on PC, none of the teams in top 10 play more than 2 range, and those range are exclusively scorps to shoot for hovers
