Planetary Cooler - Clinker Cooler System In Cement Plant _ English Version.
The equipment used to cooling the clinker coming out of the Rotary Kiln.
Cooler System in general is equipment whose function is to cool the clinker coming out of the Rotary Kiln, whose temperature ranges from 1200 degrees Celsius to less than 200 degrees Celsius.
The function of the cooler is not only as a cooling and as a means of transporting clinker out of the kiln, it can also produce secondary and tertiary hot air with temperatures ranging from 800 to 1000 degrees Celsius.
The types of clinker coolers and their working principles include:
1. Satellite Cooler or Planetary Cooler.
2. Grate Coolers.
3. Cross-bar Cooler.
Planetary Cooler is a clinker cooling equipment consisting of several tubes that are attached around the shell outlet of the Kiln, and inside it is installed a lifter whose function is to lift the clinker inside the cooler tube during rotation.
Planetary Cooler rotates following the rotation of the Kiln, the clinker material from the Kiln with a temperature of around 1000 degrees Celsius enters through the elbow and the clinker temperature exits the Cooler around 200 degrees Celsius.
The clinker cooling process occurs because of the movement during the rotating tube, and the cooling fan installed at the Cooler outlet.
