I'm not going to comment on the quality of a game I've not played, and I get they had to draw the line somewhere, but I do think it's shitty they didn't add the British as a faction at launch - and especially when there's an Operation Overlord campaign, given that most of the troops fielded during it were not American.
i've started playing with like 8-9 months before,men of war assault squad 2 and it's awsome!i will also play the part 1 and cold war then this one,it's awsome!i like them cuz you can make units from capturing points and with those points,you can make tanks,soliders and many more,even it's not with buildings it's still awsome!
There's lot's of mods on the steam workshop that have the original missions modded into Assault Squad 2. Everything from Faces of War, Men of War, Red Tide, and Assault Squad 1. I'd recommend using the mods as Assault Squad 2 is best made of all the games. Don't bother with Cold war, it's just a mess. It's better to play Call to Arms if you want a modern feeling MoW game.
It's the same game engine. Most of the "jank" has always been there in Gem editor. Tbf i think MoW 2 will be a more arcadey and simple version, while GoH is more realistic

Also you definitely should play Terminator Defiance if you haven't, this is a true great campaign driven RTS! ^^ Much better than MoW imo, a better balance between RTS & RPG-esque gameplay as mow does it
funny that people are comparing MOW2 to GOH during launch and the negativity. Remember that when GOH was released It received the same amount of negativity when being compared to MOWAS2. Have patience and hope
I disagree that it had the same negative reactions. As far I can recall, MoW II was Arena beforehand, and the community told them things changed about a year before. And yet it looks like those things are still present even after they had all that time. Meanwhile, GoH is ever growing with its modding scene and is working on its new DLC.

No offline mode no buy. Not interested in PvP, Co-op, leaderboards, any live service crap. Just wanted to play campaigns and solo skirmish with bots, and since the devs revealed this it's on my bin instead of buy list.

This whole franchise is standing on the shoulders of men of war assault squad 2 and gates of hell, arena was a massive flop, and from the looks of this it will be no different lmfao. They just slapped new UI maybe some mechanics from arena, maybe some improvements to path finding and thats it for improvements.
remember, this is not a triple A game, lethal company also seems to have 2010 graphics, but look how popular it is, the important thing is the amount of content the game offer

It seems very niche RTS that also wants to be survival/3rd person game. Nevertheless, big ups for launching it, but I dont believe its gonna stick to the market and be a choice for an average player. I'm all up for competition in gaming market, however looking into the player count of previous MOW games and how this one looks in 2024 its going to be a long shot to be successful.
Most RTS players actually prefer playing single player/coop. All recent competitive only RTS died not long after launch. Now look at SCII, a game that's barely updated but has solo and coop features. The game is still alive and new players are still getting into it. Those players play the campaign get used to the game and then dip into PvP. Forgoing that part is the mistake most of the industry made in the last decade and a half.
Just by the first 2 minutes you can tell this does not stand up to CoH's quality. You'll never end up with Verdun moon crater landscape as craters simply don't exists in MoW apparently, vfx are all pretty bad, the game overall looks stiff as heck just like GoH, this really feels like a 2005 game. On top of that they're not comparable that's for sure, it's Action RTS versus Tactical RTS.
Umm not quite sure about this game, would love to try it of course, however it doesnt seem much different from the times when it was called Men of War Arena, which was a piece of plastic garbage in my eyes. As someone said - i would like to stay sceptically optimistic.

Sneaky little developers, they relabeled their failed project, Men of War Arena to Men of War 2, put some half assed SP content in and thats it. How do i know? Looks and feel of the game, the "XP to unlock" stuff and always internet connection required.
Glad they spent extra time and resources so the 5 RUclipsrs that play multiplayer can have their leaderboards and micro transactions. Unbelievably out of touch🤦🏻♂️
What an unhinged comment, I like the game regardless if you only play SP or MP ~ but the truth is that MoW2 has a lot of actual effort put into making MP viable for this type of game, which we havnt seen before. Dedicated servers alone makes it 10x more attractive for MP than Gates of Hell. But thats me assuming you have a problem with multiplayer, just because its not your niche you shit on it? As for MTX: I literally cover the fact that they'll refuse to do MTX in the video

Multiplayer in MoW games eventually boils down nobody but the sweatiest of the sweatiest still playing. The chance was missed, they brewed a game called MoW 2 Arena for a long time, trying to pass it off as something else.
