    Really enjoyed the video. Guitar looks great! I like the way the paint came out even though it‘s not what you originally planned.

    hey man, I don't usually watch all of 30 min vid's, but you got me. Love your style.
    I have an old cheap Samik strat which I think I'll give this worn edge look a try on. Inspiration! Cheers

      @JoePierceMaker  4 года назад

      Thanks! I recently rebuilt an old Samick Strat myself. They're built pretty well, all I really had to do was upgrade the electronics, but I repainted it for fun.

    Thanks for all your advice Joe, some of it is gold. Got your sweater bag thing the other day and I love it. Thanks. I’m working on some kits from Pitbull Guitars here in Perth Australia. I haven’t got a workshop but making the best of what I got. Challenging and fun. Keep the videos rolling, look forward to the next one.

      Thank you so much! I've heard good things about Pitbull Guitars. I've wanted to try one but shipping all the way to the US from Australia is a bit pricey.

    if you want to do burst- you probably need to go with painted body sandwich it between some 2 layers to protect centers, and then paint some shape- teardrop if possible :D

      thanks for the tip!

      @@JoePierceMakerno probme, I see I was not the most clear, I meant that you need painted body (desired center colour, then clamp it with "reverse stencils" on top and bottom, exposed part should be the one you want to have burst on when you will paint "borders" you will have burst effect- this is "homemade" idea, maybe there's better way, I'm in no means expert on that matter:)

    the sped up sound of you disassembling this guitar at the beginning of the video sounds like somebody chewing food with their mouth open it's like fingernails on the chalkboard 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Don't you know they make some tools to get those bushings out? Oh my goodness. The tools they sell only do that one job. Goodness. They are just 3 or 5 monthly installments of $49.99. And guess what? They won't even make you pay much for shipping either. It's only $150.00 shipping. You might even get a tracking number. My neighbor's tracking number was 5. Do you realize that probably the CEO of that guitar bushing gutter might not be able to make his Rolls Royce payment now? What if he just faints after seeing this video? He might mess up his brand new $250 hair cut and massage. Cool video. I'm still in shock about the bowtied Stratocaster. That wood is amazing. The bowties were really cool.

      Maybe I should start selling my little pieces of dowel rod just a bit cheaper than their tool. Then I'd get rich while they end up having to sell one of their boats.

    Nice vid, also caught a glimpse of a Diresta Icepick.
    It’s rare to find guitar rebuilds or restorations of guitars by skilled people. There’s a dreadful vid of this guy “cleaning” an old acoustic with a wire brush and trashed the finish. Nice job man!
