huh? Where Tariq was born is PURE speculation by historians, there is no confirmed location of where Tariq was born. However it’s reported he was a Berber from north west Africa.
During the Ummayd control of morocco, Tariq was appointed the governor of Tangier after one of the UMMAYAD leaders governing Tangier passed away, hence why it makes more sense for him to be moroccan then Algerian.
