I only like neutral eyeshadows. I have tartelette in bloom which has neutrals but some are dark which can be used as eyeliner or smoky eye. You can't use any kind of eyeshadows for eyeliner imo because crappy products cease to stay & pigmentation isn't great.
I know some people consider this palette really basic but I really like it and I loved the looks you did. So different yet complimentary and I think it shows the range of this palette. Well done!
I’ve got a mini version of this palette in a set for christmas and it’s been one of my favourite palettes ever since ! the colours are gorgeous and versatile
Judy! It’s good to see you give different views to Tarte’s eyeshadow products when they are less ‘popular’ on RUclips. My first eyeshadow palatte is Tartiest pro to go palette: as you mentioned, the shimmer shades from Tarte are intense in a satin way, not those popular foil metallic shades what beauty influencers prefer nowadays. I did try to follow the trend of sparkling metallic shades and buy expensive eyeshadow palettes from luxury brands(Tarte is not cheap but more affordable when compared with), while I somehow know the Tarte one is always my holy grail: subtle shimmer shades suit me more as I have texture skin with pores, acnes and lines, and I have those Asian swollen eye lids, those super foil metallic shades just make my eyes smaller and eye lids more swollen. So Tarte eyeshadow palette is always my low key bias. The quality of Tarte’s eyeshadows is surprisingly nice in terms of their price, good for our day to day look, and user- friendly for we people with different skin conditions.
i think this palette is beautiful. it’s been on my wishlist for a reallllly long time and i loveeee the looks you created with it. i think my favorite out of the three looks was the second one. there was just something so ethereal about it. your friend was so sweet to send it to you.
Thanks, Judy! I just got this one for my birthday and tried it yesterday for work. I completely agree, this palette is perfect for work looks where you want to look pretty, but you don't want a "ba-BAM!" kind of shimmer look. It's soft and subtle, but so pretty in person.
Kyaaaahhhhh! I’ve been waiting for this. This is my favorite palette ❤️ being a neutral cool skin tone Asian, this is my version of warm colors. For me, I go for the sheerer shimmers because I always tend to sheer them out whenever I use ABH shimmers. I’ve noticed that more expensive brands often had more fine shimmers (like Japanese eyeshadow) and I find them to be the most flattering.
Lovely looks! This seems like a perfect palette for me. I like that it isn’t that intense. Previously I’ve worn a lot of more intense, colourful and artistic makeup, but after starting working in an office I’ve gravitated more towards simpler looks that don’t stand out too much. So even though I own quite some palettes, I don’t really own this type of palette. A neutral and rosy one with not too intense metallics sounds just like the thing I’m looking for.
For being a pinky palette it has a whole lot of Browns. My favorite look was the pinky look of course And I really enjoyed watching you make very different looks so easy😍
I really love Tarte shadows and will be picking this up. I’m going to wait for it to go half off like I’ve gotten all my other Tartelette palettes 😊 this type of shadow is right up my alley because I don’t prefer foiled shimmer. I prefer a more sheer wash of color.
I loved your second look! Lately I've been really into pinks. I have one of the Tarte contour palettes and it smells like chocolate like you mentioned! The eyeshadows can be a bit of a hit/miss for me.
Two minutes already in this video and I just wanna say your humbliness couldnt buy a hundred tarte's palettes. It is priceless and that's why I am here clicking like without even the video stops. Great job keep it up💕💕
I think it's a stunning palette. The color story suits you very well. I know it's literally a smaller version of the big palette, but I don't see why people are taking issue with that. It's a cheaper option and less overwhelming in size.
Tarte needs to pay u cuz I literally just bought this palette today after watching this video. I love love love the pink look I've been looking to try it but most of the eyeshadows turned brownish instead of pink. So can't wait to try it!
I love this colour story but for me impactful shimmers are a must, so I’m still waiting for my perfect warm pink shimmer-heavy palette 😃 The look no. 2 was my favourite today!
My chronic illness is flaring up right now, seeing a video from you really made my night better! 💕 I might need to check the palette out, the colours are right up my alley You look stunning as always Judy!
Great review as always, Judy! Love all the looks especially the first. 💖 I have the Tartelette in Bloom and i absolutely love it. It's a palette i go back to whenever i want to look good without putting much effort. Plus, it serves as an all in one palette for me because i can use this one shade for my brows. I might just pick this one up because it's super cute 💐🌸
I like all 3 looks! trying to decide what to get as my first tarte eyeshadow palette. either this one or guilded glamour amazonian clay duo. have to decide which colour story I prefer
I think Tarte has very less reviews by youtubers compared to 2-3 years back when Tarte always make event where they invites many influencer yearss back. Btw love Tarte scents on their eyeshadow palette. I’ve own Toasted Palette and i love it 😻 and Tarte blush is amazing too. I love the 1st loook
@@j.uuuuudy YESS Tarte released the bigger version (20 pans) months before. So now we have 3 versions of Tartelette Juicy: Lil Juicy, Juicy (Big), and Juicy like you used in this video 😊
I have the mini Tarte Pro To Go and the shades are really pigmented, especially the shimmers are very metallic. It must be a different formula because it's almost close to Colourpop levels of pigmentation!
This definitely does have Give it to me straight vibes. If folks don’t mind the wait, in USA, usually Tartelette palettes would go on 50% off eventually! I’ve seen them go on sale on JCPenney, Macy’s and Ulta. I have the Bloom and Toasted palettes. Agreed that the mattes feels and looks softer than Colourpop’s. If you’re a beginner, I don’t think you can go wrong with Tartelette palettes (please wait for a sale though). It was great for work: not too out there, lasts long, quick to apply. They’re pretty effortless to work with. As you get more advanced, then you might venture on to palettes with stronger pigment/color payoff since you can control your application better which is why I moved on from Tarte eventually. It’s a brand I’d buy for my aunts or cousins as they’re basic everyday makeup users and they’ve enjoyed the formula so far. Colourpop was too pigmented for them hehe
I totally agree with the comparison to Give It To Me Straight- it’s one of the CP palettes I have and love, bought a few months before they discontinued it so I got lucky. I’ve never tried a Tarte palette but if I did I’m drawn to Tartlette in Bloom. Giving it some more thought as the quick easy aspect of it, assuming I can catch a good sale, is appealing to me. I’m glad Judy made the comparison because as soon as I saw the palette I knew it reminded me of something in my collection. @judy- thanks for all the inspiration. I come to your channel to get ideas for how to use the palettes I have to their fullest. I know it’s hard work but much appreciated.
Thank you so much for making this! I just bought this pallet and was about to return it because I was having a hard time creating looks. Not sure why. 🤷🏼♀️ LOVE all these lions! ❤❤❤
Hi Judy love the looks and your review . If we talk about the price I think in this small version each pan is more costlier than the bigger pallet . So I would recommend to spend 3-4 dollar more to buy the bigger one
The colors are lovely! Very wearable and for every day, as you said. Great looks, as always :) I will def try the first one but with a different palette :p
How’s the formula? My biggest complaint with tarte palettes when I tried them years ago is how chalky the eyeshadows were and how light the color payoff was.
I have this same palette and honestly was really pleased with how easy it was to work with. It reminds me of the Tarlette in bloom palette. Their amazonian clay formula. I have no regrets and love the vanilla scent
I was a longtime Tarte eyeshadow palette groupie and I can say they used to be a very different formula. Then they kinda fell out of popularity for a few years and now they are trying to make a come back with these new formulas. I liked the powdery "in a good way" of the old formula. To me, this new formula feels super cheap & it reminds me exactly of most of the Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette formula, minus the weird mushroom smell lol That may be what the vanilla scent is covering up. Long story short, I think they need to go back to the drawing board with their eyeshadow formula. I hope they don't mess with their blush formula.
That's so sweet of Phi! On that note......Sooooo what other brands and products are not available to you in Australia and New Zealand? Asking for a friend :)
I wish they had released the mini versions separately. The palettes are expensive, so they are out of my budget, but I would have bought this one if they had the mini on its own. Eyeshadows last a lot after all, so the mini would have been worth it for me, and it looks really cute.
I have this exact palette and I find that these tartelette tutorials need to be the exact one or they won't make sense. That said, I'm kinda clumsy with make-up, this was really easy to follow and I like the white circle effect because sometimes these palettes are hard to read (the label.. ie. "rebel.")
Lol my in bloom palette was $50 from tarte on amazon & one of the best shades was all broken up & everywhere! Also my cliqnique super powder foundation came from amazon with the inner mirror shattered. Does anyone know where I can get my makeup online that don't arrive broken because they're not cheap.
Someone told me that the reason why tarte shadows arent as punchy and pigmented is because they dont use pigments. I dont know if the reasoning is true or not but it makes sense.
I think people just don't know how to buy for their skin tone which can be the biggest issue with make up,my skin tones a neutral sunkiss look so this pallete worked really well,if you have more blue veins or a brighter skin tone you should buy a pattle that suits with that not this one.
I feel like no one on yt likes neutral palettes but I love them lol I love how appreciative you are of the subscriber who sent you the palette💕
I love a good colour palette, but having a neutral palette in your collection is just necessary imo!
